Best Memorandum Poems
No one gave us a roadmap,
no guide to navigate the twists,
the jagged turns of life’s unknown path.
They filled us with hope, with dreams, with promises.
Tales of a future, bright and clear,
a mirage that fades just as we reach for it.
Lies.
We whisper it to ourselves
as reality sets in.
Life, a test we never studied for,
yet we’re forced to take.
Dropped into the deep end,
flailing, fighting, drowning,
no lifeline to grasp,
no safety net to break our fall.
Our parents, worn, weathered,
cling to wisdom that no longer holds.
They came from a world where work was steady,
where machines didn’t steal jobs,
where effort meant security.
Now they depend on us,
but we have no answers to give.
We are sheep without a shepherd,
Lost in the storm of uncertainty,
Our steps faltering, unsure of where to go.
Answers slip like shadows through our fingers,
leaving us with only time,
heavy, unyielding time.
We improvise, we stumble,
writing our syllabus in ink and pain,
forging our path through trial and error,
through blood, sweat, and tears.
Life needs a memorandum,
a guide to show the way,
a blueprint for the lost,
a light in the dark.
Yet life offers no memorandum,
only questions left unanswered,
and the blind leading the blind.
After all is said and done
What do we leave our children
A foundation of a proper life
And a soul that understands
That all people are different
And all have a right to live in peace
What stories do we leave the world
Of peace and happiness for all
Where the facts are listened to
And people will have
All they need to live properly
In stories will be told around their fires
Who are the people who deserve to be remembered
Not the villains the thieves the assailants the murderers
But the ones who work and live clean together
They should be the T shirt faces
And the ones who are on the murals
Looking back at all of us
So what about 2020 the virus and the riots
I will remember those who stood up and were counted when needed.

Last light falls fast if you but see,
Apt surreal feel of misty sight;
Touch knows at last what yet may be,
Ends bear a will of drowsy flight.
Make up your mind to seek the truth,
Etch a fond match that tells just how;
Move thoughts you find with arc of proof,
Opt to dare sketch a true tale now;
Reach for a taste of lovely craze,
Ask to be clear of pulse and change
Note cause of haste in this mad maze,
Dance with fond cheer that mystic range;
Urge a bold dream to bring you more,
Meet happy streams from a deep core.

I be forgotten
yet I'm remembered
and as I remember
I am forgotten
I stand yet I walk
I walk before I stand I am
Memories memorandum of a forgotten man

Some people would love
Who you are
And some would love you
On what you can do for them
It's a penny for your thoughts
Some people would love
What you can become
And some would love you
On what you can achieve for them
It's a mouthful,
Exploration requires a productive mindset
Be careful on who you surround yourself with
The signs are always there
Expectation requires an innovative mindset
Be careful on who you share yourself with
They usually show themselves
It is What it is,
Some people would love
What you are
And some would love you
On what you have achieved
It's a truthful verse
Some people would love
What you have conquered
And some would love you
On what type of person you are
It's a story that's endless.
