Lord knows she isn’t perfect but she’s better than the rest.
And I always find her beautiful even when she is a mess.
She has her faults and failures but I love her anyway
And I thank the good Lord for her each and every day.
Now, some might call her haughty and resent the fact she’s there.
Some might call her flighty and say she doesn’t care.
But many dream about her, long to be within her arms.
There’s safety in her warm embrace and comfort in her charms.
Some say that she meddles where she doesn’t quite belong.
Some say she is stubborn, especially when she’s wrong.
She might have many weaknesses but she’s better than the rest.
If you put the others side by side, it’s plain she is the best.
And though some do despise her, I really don’t know why.
For she is very generous in times when others cry.
She stands up to the bullies and lifts up those who fall.
And she is always there to help when friends in need will call.
So, I’ll defend her honor. I’ll protect her where I can.
When others try to hurt her I will fight for this great land.
And I’ll be ever faithful. For her safety I will pray.
For I love this great country! God bless the U.S.A.!

What becomes of a world of war?
The world is crowded, lonely, happy and sad
Bored I am of life I am bored
Whisperings of life hint it is stressed
The strait between hope and despair
Forthwith bears an obscure seclusion
A menace seeping through the pores of gladness
What is deprived but a hope that's deferred?
To live again is as sure as to die
To die is as certain as to live
How live the man of what kills him?
He obviously kills what keeps him alive
There's no goodness in the dead
You only live alive to forge ahead
Fall down flat, bounce back up
You fall deceased, but not back up
Next to the senile mind of wisdom I learn
The juvenile meddles unashamedly with the root of serious evils
I behold aloof as the young cruelly earns
The black and gray seek an escape from life's tempest

Grasping a plot
from my store of meddles
I spread,
near the sink,
verbs and nouns
I've found.
Cleaving each
to a size
then heated derive
a fragrant misty theme.
. . .to be continued. . .

I dwell in the heavens
on moonlit beams
sun seared clouds
billowy waves
my celestial stage
no worldly worries
or cranial cares
My soul mingles
meddles
among gods
Zeus, Apollo
Osiris
Thoth and Thor
dodging an asteroid
meteor or mars
Welcome to the
mystery of my
soul's menage

Beleaguer me with beaten breaths as I burn long beyond this dalliance of love,
Remind me with a rush of redolent-rippled candy kisses draped across my lips--
Enchant me with a tickle of your tempest as you transcend my tepid tranquility,
Attacking my dank demure with your deliciously decadent defiance to my doubt--
Tiptoe your ebullient eyes through thick doleful curtains drawn atop my trust,
Helping to lather my lassitude with your lustrous elixir-like gaze that slays me--
Tempt my desires with your tender touch as you whisper passion into my veins,
Aching to unravel into your snowy soft embrace at a falling feather's descent--
Kill the messenger that meddles in my mind preventing me from your seduction,
Imbibing me in sensual serenity as we get lost climbing sky-bound staircases--
Never stop the theft of my breath for I promise you troves after each idyllic kiss,
Granting you all the love that my lungs can hold as you fix me with your bliss--

I'm not one who judges, interferes or meddles,
but I must spay my pet rock because it won't stop having pebbles.
You may find me to be somewhat of a nut
but I truly suspect that my pet rock is a ****.

The psychiatrist meddles with the head.
Nutritionists keep us decently fed.
Nurses are very clever,
As are surgeons, however,
The proctologist's probe is met with dread!

I blush when I think about the makeup
Of Man. At birth he's weak and insecure
He's helpless, ignorant- a little pup
Has more going for him than this treasure.
And when he matures, mental growth is slight.
He whines and pines and broods o'er picayune
Events: It's too hot! I'm cold! That's too tight!
I hate my job! That cost too much! A tune
That's sung ad infinitum-- Maddening!
There's absolutely no relief from it.
He lies and cheats exaggerates most things.
Befuddles, muddles, meddles, throws a fit.
He battles, tattles, prattles--Stop! Enough
I say, stop the world I want to get off!

...for Sylvia Plath
Her grasp of things is gone,
she meddles, she is lost
with no prospect of redress.
She hovers shapeless,
rudderless in a
storm-toss'd mess.
Substanceless, tottering
in limbo's loveless hold,
only dross.
(Note: One of her poetic devices
was the use of multiple double-
vowel and double consonant words.)
