This stamp brings visions to our eyes
Of years gone by, in summer's skies.
He left to join our freedom's sound;
And band of brothers, there he found.

To guard our freedom, his thoughts turned-
For love of country surely burned;
With comrades joined, to then unfold

A winged mermaid blossoms, 
awash with marine snow ~
Poseidon's ocean-pearl,
breathing jasmine sirens
as iced eyelashes curl...

when fish-angels ache for
arctic apricity,
and glacial nymphs carve a
cruel felicity...

my minty sun trembles,

in colors of brown, gold, aqua glass.
Globules mingle in 4/4 time
chiming songs, a crystal voice, sublime.

Somewhere in a distant keep,
are echoes of that briny deep.
Ingrained in oceans memory,
mammalian song is mimicry.

Dive down into the aqueous abyss,
you’ll enjoy a crystalline bliss.
Ride a dolphin into the sunlight,
they are personalities of delight.
