A winged mermaid blossoms,
awash with marine snow ~
Poseidon's ocean-pearl,
breathing jasmine sirens
as iced eyelashes curl...

A winged mermaid blossoms,
when fish-angels ache for
arctic apricity,
and glacial nymphs carve a
cruel felicity...

A winged mermaid blossoms,
as strawberry conch shells,
drape the neon sea-star ~
my minty sun trembles,
and sheds its sherbet scar...

A winged mermaid blossoms,
hearts...

Murmur ambience above the endless
horizon freewheel briny breeze filled sea.
Nascent movements from their shells come to be
unfurled winks, life beating hearts is timeless.
Calm hums over the ocean and appease
the emotional storm; where bright blue sky
meets the indigo sea, cap speechify
sea foam waves roll into shore shortly ease
before moving back into the sea depth.
With a deep...

Gems Aqua Marine
I swim in a crystal clear sea the colour of aqua marine.
I gaze upon your beauty with my aqua marine eyes.
Sailors treasured me as a present from the mermaids.
Neptune in the heavens is my planet in the sky.
And the month of my birth means aqua marine your mine.
You calm my anxiety and give...

A Marine
A Marine
By Joeysguy

This fellow at the age of twenty
A Marine he became to be

He was no different than any other Marine
He stood proud, he stood tall and he was lean

He vowed
That he would make his family proud

After finishing his training he was hurt ...

A Marine
As she puts on her military uniform,
She's proud; proud to serve her country.
Yet, there is a dark cloud of memory,
Up the hill from home under an old oak tree.

She can picture in her minds eye,
The mans scarred ugly face.
She feels hands of betrayal as she continues to cry,
Such nasty oily hands touching her all over...

One Marine
Freedom won
Lost of one
Lives touched
Standing proud

One by one
Life on the line
Bullets to bombs
Freedom is the fight

Trained for war
Forward they go
Front line is the spot
Here to fight

21 shots
Folded flag present
There he goes
One brave marine he was...

Premium Member A Dad's Letter To His Marine
Son, I'm so proud that you elected to serve in the United States Marines.
Military service is a family tradition - it just happens to be in our genes!
Your forefathers have worn the uniform since the genesis of this nation.
All were privileged to serve, feeling that it was their solemn obligation!

One of your distant relatives served...

I Am a Marine
I was at a website earlier today and a lady was asking if anyone knew of a Marine
poem since her son was being deployed. I thought it was a shame that she didn't
know of any Marine poems so within a few hours I had written one:

I am a Marine, I have answered...

Patriot Guard Riders
September 2009

No more classes now that I've been fired!
Patriotism is my job: I’m retired.
The Patriot Guard rides almost every day
to bring a flapping flag line on display.
We ride to work with combustion and chrome
to bring the bodies of our brave...

Once a Marine, Always a Marine, Forever My Son
Your uniforms are all
Lined up in order
I noticed the blood stripe that had been added
Along time ago
I heard your medals clinking together
As you tucked them all away

I stepped back in time

You once stood
On yellow footprints of those before you
Chaos surrounding your new world
A flashing moment's thought,
“What have I done?”
Went through your mind

In 13...

Through the Eyes of a Marine
As the Marines push forward as if to shrug feigning indifference for the lives that have been taken to the god of which they believe to be unforgiving all they can do is push forward and move to their already known perilous fate and meet death face to face and dance with the devil and...

To Fall In Love With a Marine
Let me tell you what its like,
to fall in love with a marine,
he’s my hero, lover and my friend,
when he’s in his shade of green.
He makes me laugh when I am down,
he is with me through every stride,
and he fights for his country,
with his brothers by his side.
He stands tall and proud,
wearing his medals...

Principles of a Marine
Endings,
Unwrap these
Crimsons.

Leaves falling
Soon and I am
Not the Catcher.

But you, you
Sports Fan,
Like the
Lover chases
His tail, now.

I do.

And I pray....

My Royal Marine
16/9/2015

I had always said, from the start,
I'd never let a marine have my heart.
But when you walked into my life,
I knew I wanted to be your wife.

Although it can sometimes be hard,
I love you whether you're near or far.
And when it comes to you being gone,
The love you give me keeps me strong.
...
