ETERNITY IN A BLINK

Eyes locked, hearts spoke.
Love knocked, feelings woke.
I smiled, she blushed.
She mirrored, i gushed.

I was the fire but i melted .
She was the ice but "sun-hot".
Time danced slow as our minds began to plot
A story forged through the fire of desire,
Inked with hearts that synced in accord.
Strangers, familiar along the pages of prospects.

Wedding bells rang.
"here comes the bride" sang.
Flowers crafted perfumed symphonies,
as the altar witnessed intertwining of destinies.

"I do", with eyes of admiration and deep reassuring voice,
i spoke to her soul.
She opened the floodgates to her milky teeth
Eyes dilated with tears of joy, taking in this moment of bliss,
Her chocolate lips, marinated in cherries, made love and bore sweet words as she began the vows.

I couldn't hold it together, as i anticipated her seal to the covenant,

"I..."

Before she could write our story in the stars,
Our thoughts were cut short by a voice that robbed....
My soulmate, in his arms.

A Drink Of Let Go

A Drink of Let Go

Hardy Levis shorts
Stuckup seesaw
Let go of forgot
Now playing
To my mistakes Sounds of chord Shapes in time
Echo at the end before
The meeting has begun
I can't let go
I say what is life
On any casual day
Will I miss the flowers and the.trees
There's a girl over there
we latch on instantaneously
To each others soul
Maybe she can help Maybe setup my life
Maybe I can live again and always do whats right
But I am really living in someone else's dream
Iam seen praying to a human replicator
Praying not to be changed
Serving mischief
Marinated reefer
Wrapped up and traded for gunpowder
The money man
Final wish
Shark food

Premium Membermarch's door

march’s door

what remains when seasonal flowers wilt
and there is no chocolate left on your lips?

it seems we have only the winter sky
void of shooting stars or falling rain

and it is cold when morning crawls out
from the dark solitude of night

i remember when laughter marinated
and at days end it was rich and full

but when i wonder what is left of the day
i realize i can no longer hear the chatter of laughter

nor smell the flowers
or taste the chocolate

there was no laughter after the flowers wilted
and darkness fell like shutters on a cold window

perhaps i will choose to die alone
when march closes it’s heavy door

snow will come and go
taking the white to unknown places

perhaps there I will taste the cold water
I so long thirsted to know

Premium MemberMemory lane

on a broken night
marinated in lost thought
a pen with papers
tried many sweet rhyming shots
they sketched and screeched of weird creeps

never-named poems,
sang them to tunes, sold to fools.
then comes salty preach~
the damn nerve to rob and thrive
off a barely legal child…

Divine Delight

What a cameo in the hot harmattan eve !
Sweet soursop scents marinated with the haze
And all the other ones impasse in my qui vive .

Words became satisfying minting juice ,
Black with currents ,mingled bittersweet after
Soft like lush ripe and delicious in undying truth .

But In this colorful world of pines and apples ,
With the sour and the dapples between the toil
We will weather the rains and dry foggy nights .

In all laughter and of youthful lovers delight ,
Not of science of apples falling for clues
Nor of religion with the doom preceding the bite .

But with all hope hope from a trampled rose ,
Earnestly rooting for the hazelnuts
Swinging between the canes of sugars and beats.

As it touches the ground like a whispered prayer,
With heaven's own sacramental wine
Wholesome and pristine “

Five centimeters beneath the dangling papayas ,
under a starry night gaze with splendor
Can you see how vividly the moonlight scrawls the pomegranate.

Beneath moist soils with seeded holes !
Hold your grounds your sprouting melon
So here’s to your juice you amazing Tangelo
Hold your grounds with bunches of love .

An Idea

Something in her voice that had me tick
Curvilinear edges on her face
A smile that smiled
Lips that spoke charm
A face kindred to the moon

Her body screamed seduction
A goddess of attraction
Within proximity i couldn't function

She was perfectly perfect

His charm was the tipping point
Deep voice, fire in his eyes and a vocabulary marinated in "love"
words far reaching like a cupid's arrow to the core of my delicate heart
A definition that defined the marvel of creation

His intelligence was second to none

But our thoughts and imaginations
Fantasies and dreams
Could not manifest in the face of reality
We were but the opposite sides of the same coin

We fell in love with "an idea"

Premium MemberChicks

Dawn of spring brings chickens in the family way
When humans are busy gazing at the flowers,
The chickens have got their love priorities right
Instead of lazing away life, spend lusty hours

Chicks born in springtime are active healthy and strong
A secret the wise chickens did know all along
Chicks are like cotton cheese balls so cute and cuddly
Unlike grown-up chickens that have bone beaks oblong

They need to be sent away to the meat markets
To be skinned and hung, sad, they have no right to live
Ironically, pampered, such are fluffy chicks
If only feathered two-legged friends could perceive

Beware, chicks are advised not to devour too much
Raised in farms and fattened, injected and treated
If they don't look after themselves they will end up
On the dinner table, spiced and marinated

To look after their weight, if they are to live long
Enough to enjoy life and sing the Chicken Song

A Native Lament

When we first saw Columbus struggling ashore,
we were mildly amused.

Later, more well marinated mariners
brought with them
garlic, olive oil and tomatoes,
all of which we had no use for -
the tomatoes gave us acid reflux.

When they offered to feed us
an ugly and bitter edible
they called ‘broccoli,’
we knew
that we had to make war upon them.

No use!

In the end, we were defeated;
their garlic breath was too strong,
their pizza pie way too delicious.

A Cat and a Dog

A cat and a dog, marinated delight,
In a frying pan, they engaged in a fight,
Their sizzles did soar,
Mom kicked the pan, what a roar!
Dinner was ruined that unfortunate night!

Spare Room

I thought getting it out would help me within; But sometimes when I hear my words, I become absolutely catatonic.
It's like I created a safe room inside of my head, a place where I now go when I remember she's dead. A room with no windows, the walls smeared with sadness. A suffocating force, creating a space where no new life can co-habit.
I am working on boarding up this room soon so I can allow myself to let go of that gnawing feeling of not having you. I just have to get through the initial sting, then maybe I can participate in my own healing.
Like reminiscing of good times, we shared together, instead of cursing your name feeling like you should have done better. I'm marinated in so many feelings, sometimes it feels easier to just forget her and put off this grieving.
Without this room that I have made for myself, these thoughts would not be processed cared for and felt.

Premium MemberBraised Himalayan Rabbit

There's an eatery here in my hometown I'd heard about,
That features exotic wild animal fare so I thought I'd check it out!
I perused the menu and here are a few examples of its bizarre cuisine:
Slow-broiled and marinated Indian elephant spleen;
Delectable bar-be-qued Texas style rib of rattlesnake;
Tender sixteen-ounce portions of grilled hippopotamus steak;
Choice butterflied pork tender-loin from corn-fed por(k)cupine;
Wild Arkansas boars' feet boiled and pickled in spicy brine;
Fresh flown-in daily from Alaska, deep-fried buzzards' gizzards;
Finely sliced sauteed tongue of Komodo Dragon lizards!
I decided to order an enticing delicacy that really caught my eye;
'Twas a dish called Braised Himalayan Rabbit that I thought I'd try!
I asked the server about its origin and its preparation mode.
"First" said she, "we find him-a-layin' on the road!"

(At that I stifled a roiling barf and from there I quickly strode!)
