The first time we met was last night
Feelings flew like rockets in the sky
You were bashful and a little coy
Your cuteness I could never deny
We were all sitting around one table
Enjoying the company and our beer
More people showed up at the table
You set on my lap whispering in my ear
We were flirting with each other
Then planning out our future to be
It started out as fun but it got serious
Maneuvering life just to be with me
Throwing all caution to the wind
Together in life we took a chance
And we will ride this to the end
Our lives one as long as life grants

"He will progress toward retrogression..."
Mother's heart defied such prognosis
yet it reverberated, haunting soul
thus, faith cleaved to divine pillar
toward hope fueling functionality
surmounting spastic bouts
conquering seizures
then beholding miracles.
Now, milestones radiate
as special child drives himself
midst freedom bliss
maneuvering wheelchair
likewise taking steps with walker's brace
vanquishing mother's fear
toward triumph of impossibilities
enabled by the divine anchor.

Every step a blessing to climb
Foot by Foot approach
Step by Step at a time
Minute to the hours
Step up
The chosen
Precision Heaven walk
Granted by Courage
Established by Determination
Supported by Faith
Maneuvering through the atmosphere
The target being the kingdom
Guided through the way
Earth being the gateway beyond
Wisdom that follows
Everlasting promise
Pearly Gates Open
Angel’s welcome
Step by Step fulfilled
Granted through the Lord’s acceptance

Checked it flag
A stand out soapbox
All in grey
Challenger in a race
Speed of competitors
It was fast like a Greyhound Dog
Grey color gets attention
Had to mention
Grey soapbox named “ROADHOG”
As the wheels accelerated more and more
It was definite that the soapbox was going to even the score
Faster Faster and Faster
Maneuvering here and there
The soapbox was beyond compare
Ahead of its time
Throughout the soapbox race
Every competitor was in a chase
Winner to be
A let see
Who will cross the finish line?
You guessed it, the Roadhog being the grey soapbox
Cheers and roars
Undefeated challenger
Winner took all
Soapbox winner call.

a supernatural force must have saved the reckless driver
the Ford she was maneuvering is scrunched in three ways
everyone who saw the auto said “the driver must be dead”
she is not dead
she has hitchhiked home to get the keys to her husband’s truck
she is driving to work in it
I know because this walking talking miracle who survived is me

rolling wall to wall - tumbling down the hall
infamously down the stairs, sans fall.
who can be as cool as a roly poly kid?
the older lady, you can guess who, has to crawl
to make it off the floor, crawling like a babe, new.
she hopes not to stumble on the shadows that fall.
naptime and tea, my buzz, whilst the kid
endlessly tumbles his way through adolescence.
one day, the same fate awaits him as the rest of us.
but now is his time, to aimlessly go head over heels,
not in love yet, just maneuvering like a rolled out rug.
this kid with unfathomable energy until he sleeps.

July 4 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Psalms 111-114
Key Verse – Psalms 111:2 The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR HIS WONDROUS WORKS
Praise be to God for His wondrous works so:
Great and marvelous
Grand with His might
Gloriously magnificent
Gracious midst His mercy
Generous along His miracles
Psalms 112:1 Praise be to the Lord for
letting us delight in His commandments to:
Prosper our souls
Prompt our stewardship
Prop our spiritual strength
Provide our satisfaction-sufficiency
Press us toward sincere servanthood success
Psalms 113:7 Praise be to the Saviour for
raising and lifting us:
Meeting us in our prayers
Moving us up by His power
Melting our pride with His peace
Maneuvering us through His purpose
Making us productive in His perfect pursuit
Psalms 114:7 Praise be to the Almighty
for His presence that:
Enables our revival
Empowers our reaching-out
Exposes to us His refreshing restoration
Enlightens us against rebukes and reproofs
Encourages us toward rededication’s rejuvenation. Amen!

Silk stocking filled with mud was Talleyrand.
With the future of France held in his hand,
He played kibitzer-informed cards with skill,
Maneuvering a Congress to his will.
There once was a Marquis named Talleyrand,
Who loved ladies and a fine sarabande
Smarts from ladies gained as a teen
Helped him escape the guillotine,
Surviving four regimes as he had planned.
Vested in priestly garb this backslidden Bishop
Chose diplomacy over baptism and hyssop.
Though Talleyrand walked with congenital limp,
He was never known as a diplomatic wimp.

Suits, smiling & svelte
between
the sunshiny glass,
spinning…
Spinning fast, the Suits
near the speed of light,
cartoonish in fact.
I get caught up
in their whirlwind -
animated by the
out of control
maneuvering.
Caught in the matrix,
I laugh
as my cell rings.
…ready for a revolution
dark glasses intact.
Artificial Intelligence,
its satellite department
on the phone.
I am carried away,
still spinning -
spinning fast,
near the speed of light.
I see you
through Alice’s glass.
You look smart
in your coat and slacks.

Sometimes, in uncertain outcomes, as life agitates,
It can sway either way, maneuvering on the edge,
For a difference rather modest, makes the final call,
When a narrow margin determines a win or a loss.
If a win we choose to celebrate, or defeat we deride,
Prudent to bear in mind, that it wasn’t a landslide;
When results are so close, why not cheer them all,
Cognizant to recognize~ distinction is awfully small.
Slender is the layer between eve’s dusk and twilight,
Between dark of dawn, and luminance of sunrise;
Between safe and danger, there lies a narrow divide,
Where, between cliff and fall, life’s border resides.
Mementos of love embraced, and love sadly repelled,
In albums of beloved, or memories forlorn dwell,
Clamoring from corridors of good or bad choices made,
Between narrow margins of hope, and contours of fate.
O, a narrow margin can be of mighty consequence
Inhabiting elation of success, or anguish of regrets,
When death lingers in the clutches of final moments
Stilled between breath inhaled, and breath exhaled.

Experiencing a heady freedom
