her make up could have been much finer
the powder accented her purple eyeliner
she paraded past a farmer and a miner
is that make up or does she have a shiner?
Yes at thirteen, if you’re not a forty-niner
You don’t need your under eyes to have black eyeliner
But we do not say anything, because thirteen is a whiner
At supper we all keep our mouths shut at the clown-like diner
Don't keep me hanging, sweetie ~

If what’s on your mind
weighs in at a ton
Odds are quite good
you’re not having much fun
You can blame circumstances
or significant others
But it’s your mind to make up
to savor or suffer
she came downstairs dressed for the dance
her daddy could not stop looking at her over-the-top makeup
a wise man, he said nothing until she left
to his wife
She looked younger tonight than she has looked since she was six
his wife agreed
and silly, she suggested
They both were a bit gleeful
thinking how crazy she looked with all that make up
like a second grader

Free from cooking dinner and bathing kids
we've exchanged lipstick, off to jazzy jigs tried different costumes, with plaited wigs
let's wear false lashes attached to blue lids
we'll go for raw oysters, no-one forbids
then hurry to club where cool drummer skids
girls will sing in deep voices startling digs
nonchalant will we be, dismantling grids
Black Magic Women, nobody's spare ribs !
I like wearing makeup in the way that I do it
I like my big eyeliner, my colourful eyelids
My cheeks covered in a heavy layer of blush
A small little highlighter heart on the tip of my nose
And a shiny spot right on my angel kiss
A eyeliner drawing of a heart or a bee
Sometimes a star on the freckle by my eye
Colours of eyeshadow that match my fun earrings
Maybe my outfit, and maybe my shoes
I hate wearing makeup in the way of my peers
Skinny sharp eyeliner, tan or beige eyelids
Face covered in a layer of foundation, concealer, and bronzer
Highlight on only ever cheekbones
And of course the bridge of the nose
No cute little heart right by their eye
No colours to match with, they just wear gold earrings
Not to say that their makeup isn’t gorgeous
It suits them quite well although to me it's boring
They are happy with their makeup and that's all that really matters
But I wonder what they would do without societal pressures
When I see u i feel something right inside of my heart,
I try to act different like I don't care, but I really hate being apart,
I know I've changed and you have too but is it for the good,
Cuz one thing that will never change i loveu dont even know if it could,
All I'm saying is like brenton wood is take another chance on me,
Cuz my love is way to strong for me to leave things the way that they be,
It's really frustrating and makes me mad but I know I am to blame,
I treated us and I was wrong and acted like it was a game,
If people know that they hate to lose then games they shouldn't play,
There is a saying that u don't know what you have until it is taken away,
And after all this happens to u and then you are all alone wondering if you can get it back or is it 4 ever gone.
I am playing with mommy’s make up
While she’s tired and putting her feet up
I’m supposed to be having rest too
But face painting’s a fun thing to do.
Mommy placed the curlers in my hair
She tells me it gives me added flair
So I’m painting my face, as mom does
Hoping it makes her happy heart buzz.
My hair will become curly whirly
And my face decidedly girly
With my lips covered in red lipstick
Blusher on my cheeks, and green eyelids.
Mommy is bound to have a surprise
When she wakes up and opens her eyes
I'm sure she'll say that I look charming
Don't know what she means by self harming.
There is something so
sad about fireworks.
They're so flashy,
pretty, and exciting,
but as they fade it
makes you feel sort
of lonely.
Afterall, they're
nothing more than
a semi-permanent
spark intended to
entertain for a
semi-permanent
moment.
The people that
come into our lives
are a lot like the
fireworks:
flashy, pretty,
exciting.
Then
we blink,
and they
fade.
There is
something so
sad about fireworks.
And there is
something so
lonely about being
forced to participate
in an event that you
know isn't going to
last forever.
Bittersweet flash,
bittersweet fade,
bittersweet everything.
Sharita was running out of make up on this strange night
She had put turquoise and purple in her hair all right
Her eyelids were painted a lovely grayish blue with dazzle
I need more make-up she said, so I can dazzle razzle
When most people are getting ready to go to bed
Sharita is painting her hair, and painting her head
If she was bald, she would put a mural up there
She’s unruly and fun with the wildest hair
My mother never let me have any make up she told me
We were from a church that said let the devil be
My mama thought lipstick was a horrible sin
If she saw me now, she’d not let me in
Make up your mind this very day,
Let no dream drift or fade away.
Put on primer, smooth and bright,
Lay foundation, set it right.
Shape your path with steady hand,
Frame your goals and take a stand.
Contour your days with light and shade,
Highlight the highs, let worries fade.
Blend with patience, take your time,
Let wisdom guide—its touch sublime.
Dust off doubts like setting powder,
Step out boldly, speak up louder.
Line your lips with words that shine,
Colour them bold with love divine.
Glow with grace, let fears take flight,
Walk with purpose—chase the light.
If (all) made-up words ware to be taken away.?
Just how would we communicate today? This
May be for some? A bit of dis-grunt?
However i thought? I would give it a shunt.'
