PERHAPS, A POEM

Perhaps the wind will turn today,
or perhaps it will drifts elsewhere,
keeping the echoes of what we never said
if quiet were not already there...

Perhaps the rain will choose to fall,
or perhaps it will hold its tears,
leaving the streets unkissed and all
our waiting hearts postpone in years.

Perhaps I saw your smile at sunrise,
or perhaps the night was weaving deceptions;
perhaps what is gone still lingers
and perhaps we gather more than we notice.

Perhaps, my words are not enough,
yet still I write, in quiet prose...
for perhaps a poem is just this:
a maybe that nobody knows.

Premium MemberWhen We First Met

Just one summer like no other
that is what it was !
You and I across the field
                          playing like wild children
in the playground of my heart !
Here and there, everywhere
                    we were
                            angels soaring o'er daises
     un-plucked* breathing *
Rain or shine, we were always together
drenched in sunlight we were poetry
As we lay softly on the
                         summer grass
the heady scent of flowers clothed us,
even rain could not wash away
                    the inhale of our innocence,
It was a summer like no other
the summer when we first met ,

I’ll reach you, love, ere my feet can

Unsure on way I was vacillating,
My thoughts walked way ahead me waiting there.
Now I’ll reach you, love, ere feet reaching there,
And wet you with love ere rain raining there.
A few of our friends when come to meet us
Shall barge in ere e’en air entering there.
I try and soothe senses of your kind soul,
You pause plucking flowers flourishing there,
I tell you, flowers will die anyway,
And shall die a slow death suffering there.

over-shoulder weather

I’ve walked the length of my sentence
long after the gates unlatched,
counting the gravel underfoot
as if each stone might still accuse.

The years have grown moss over my name,
but transgression carved into memory’s vestibule
means there is always one chair turned away,
its back carved with the shape of my absence.

I’ve mended the fence,
stitched the torn sleeve,
poured water into the roots I once scorched—
but the wind still carries
a syllable I cannot unhear.

So I move,
but not without the weight of glancing—
a pilgrim with a mirror in his pack,
catching the ghost of my own retreat.

And forward is a road
that keeps folding back on itself,
a loop of weathered timber and rain-dark stone,
where even the horizon
wears my shadow like a borrowed coat,
and the door I step through
is always the same vestibule.

Premium MemberThe Beginning of Our Love

The hapless darkened hours approach,
The storm came from the backdoor.
The first cold drops of rain arrive,
Let’s seek shelter once more.
Why should we be afraid?

Ref Just hold my hand, Luv,
                     Just hold my hand.
I ask for nothing more, luv,
                    Just hold my hand,
                     As tight as you need.

I’m not askin’ anything bright,
I’m not asking for more.
You gave me what we deemed is right,
I ask for nothin’ more.
Still, I’m afraid we’ll get wet.

Ref Just hold my hand, Luv,
                 Just hold my hand.
I ask for nothing more, luv,
                 Just hold my hand,
                 As tight as you need.

Oh that the blessed calm would return,
You might ask for some more,
I’ll give you back what you deem right,
Whatever that may be,
I am afraid no more.

Ref Just hold my hand, Luv,
                   Just hold my hand.
I ask for nothing more, luv,
                   Just hold my hand,
                   As tight as you need.

Letting Go

I No longer look for any contact
Your memory is fading like the past
Dreams we shared once alive
Dreams now give possibilities
Values shape our soul endlessly
Honor yourself and your family and open totally
Dancing with myself is like singing in the rain
Future I welcome with excitement
Fear is exempt
Letting go has saved me
Dreams are my right you see

The Sword of Stars pierces the veil,
To expose the universe to a holy female.
She will bring peace throughout the lands.
The shroud will lift and there will be a man,
Who walks alone all dressed in black.
The sun on his back is a chasing fireball,
And his only escape is in her mind,
If he can find and see through her eyes.
The two will meet in a moment of perfection.
The world will unite beneath the lights of Heaven,
Which reign down upon the throng of singers,
Who sing their songs to the unbelievers,
Who shall be convinced by a story of epiphanies,
That light up life like a rain of sunbeams,
Blinding the darkness,
Making all unseen to be seen,
Creating meaning,
Dreamers dreaming,
Silence the screaming,
For only joy can reign this day.
Glory, Glory, etun atay.

My One True Love

He was my one true Love —
No other soul could bear —
The gravity of Silence —
That drew us — everywhere —

Which ever One departed —
The other would not stay —
For threads — of such a fiber —
Unravel — when away —

The Morning knew our Secret —
The Stars — were confidants —
The Sparrow in the Hedgerow —
Would echo — our response —

And should he leave before me —
My Breath would fold in twain —
The Pulse — would follow after —
As the moisture — after Rain —

Her Love

Lightning dances across the sky
The wind blows mountains away
The rain baptizes those below

My heart dances with every drop
Every clap of thunder makes me smile

The wet grassy earth beneath my feet
The pouring rain enwrapping me
The trees dancing in the wind
The dew sitting on the flowers

Mother Nature twirls on by
I gaze on up into the sky

And I feel her love

Premium MemberSea and Sand

In the midst of no man’s land
In the town of my birth
Once I dreamed of sea and sand
Sitting on the granite earth
A lot of water has flown under
All the bridges where I stood
Looking down, caught up in wonder
It was real and too good
A lot of time has passed since then
At the sea resorts I’ve stayed
Walked upon all kinds of sand
Picked up shells along the way
Dreams of sea come out fulfilled
Love’s another dream I had
It came true and stayed until
Came the time of which I read
That it comes all of a sudden
Unexpected like the rain
On a sunny day in town
Where my love lived, and remains
Dreams turn real and vice versa
This reality’s a dream
In the ash of its dispersal
Over sea and sand I’ve seen.

Chopin

true love can't be touched,
can't be hugged, -
wedding in heaven we can't attend,
we are too busy becoming beautiful,
- play in the rain, dance,
kiss in lilac,

only in your eyes, i see tears
covered in colors
falling into the sea like gold,

true love can't be touched,
can't be hugged, -
burial in heaven we cannot attend,
we are too young and too busy to become beautiful,
- chase the waves,

spell in your heart, true love can't be touched,
can't be held in arms, -
a war in heaven, we can't fight, we're way too young
and too busy being beautiful

Premium MemberMy Dream Within A Dream

“In the mystical domain of dream,
lingering longing returns in a spell” – By poet

The night you left with my heart
the gloomy sky fell with my tears.
I saw your sodden silhouette
slowly disappear in haze wet.
Memory strands entwined the scene,
weaved tapestry of frail fabric
of my lost love, designing
the lattice of your subtle grace.

Your essence remained with me
as sequins in my dismal mind,
having a strange habit
of making dreams that seemed real.
One night my drooping eyes,
hovering at the fringe of sleep,
saw you return the way you went,
made my mute heart fervent again.

In the dark night, drenched by rain,
I opened the door in a trance,
went out to let you in
the way I did so many times.
Struck by the splash of cold drizzle,
I sleepwalked all the way
to stand dazed in your shadow
that shaped you as my lost dream
I saw enticed within a dream.

Count 20

I'll run again at 20
If that's what you want
I can play in the rain on the asphalt
Without the soothing petrichor
If 20 minutes without your shadow ever existed
I'll cry my eyes out
Then laugh again
No longer able to use metaphors
In romantic stories
Sarcastic erases so much
Let's breathe a sigh of relief
We're no longer at the end of the road
But truly at the end
Not waving in a single word
Turning back into isolation

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My heart screams silently in pain,
Dry tears still drown my fragile soul,
My grief is small yet vast as rain,
My cheeks stay parched though hot tears roll.
My throat cries out in voiceless will,
I’m crushed by love too dark to care,
Your gentle hand was made to kill—
You broke my heart beyond repair.
