The eyey of the masks I don’t want to look into anymore

I like nature;
it is calm.
It has its truth
that I want.

The truth I search for in every soul,
not the masks I get to see
but the hidden faces I want to know.

I once had a mask.
It feeds you lies to keep it alive.
But being alive doesn’t matter
if it hunts you down
and burns your soul on the inside.

Because you think the outside
wears a disguise,
but with the clock ticking
it shows your cries —

shows the world how helpless you are,
and then the mask doesn’t help you at all.

So be like nature,
be its calm.
Grow yourself how you want.
Find the people who love the truth
and show you, with every heartbeat,
their love for you.

Premium Member Look Into My Eyes

Look into my eyes my love
Tell me what you see
Desire? Passion? Wanting more?
I certainly agree
If you could go inside my head
You'd know just what I think
Then when I looked into your eyes
You'd guide, I wouldn't blink

When I look into my grandmother's eyes

When I look into my grandmother's eyes
I see what she's had to sacrifice
When I look into my grandmother's eyes
I see a lifetime of pain she's carried
When I look into my grandmother's eyes
I see the hurt of not being accepted
When I look into my grandmother's eyes
I see Someone who once despised her beautiful black skin
When I look into my grandmother's eyes
I see her voice constantly silenced
When I look into my grandmother's eyes
I see her fight to fix the unjust system

But when I look into my grandmother's eyes
I see a fire That still burns
But when I see my grandmother's eyes
A lifetime of courage
But when I look into my grandmother's eyes
I see a courageous spirit who has still got it
But when I look into my grandmother's eyes
I see a woman who has been strong all her life
Now when I see me
I see my grandmother's legacy
And now that I know me
I will carry her torch
Through future generations
Because when i see me
I see my grandmother

Premium Member Look Into Me

Look into my eyes,
tell me what you see.
Is it what you want to find,
or is it merely me?

Hold onto my body,
tell me how it feels.
Is it worth a second touch,
does it send you chills?

Place a hand upon my heart,
feel it as it pounds.
Am I worthy of your love,
or am I out of bounds?

Place your trust in me;
I’ll never let you go.
Years of being a friend,
love I’ve come to know.

Should I set my secret free,
and tell you how I feel?
Would you run away to hide?
Or join me in this love that's real?

Premium Member If I Had A Chance

Into my future, If I get a sudden chance to peep
I'd choose my ninety-fourth birthday hoping am still alive
My mother left us at that ripe age while still in good health
not live long, but I'd be happy to witness the scene live

It is not my desire to be a freaky immortal
From ninety-four, it's Test Cricket, just singles with my bat
I wish to see what things would be on that momentous day
And to score a grand century is what I'm aiming at

I need to be ethereally there cutting the cake
With my wife, those who matter, egging me for an encore
All of us encouraging and back-patting each other
It's what I want to see in future, and what years I score

My ninety-fourth birthday event is what I want to see
But I also know that life is cruel and a known tease
We can never know when and where our breath will be snuffed out
When we shall dance, sing and when our life will come to a cease

When I Look Into the Mirror

When I look into the mirror, I see a boundless bouquet of beautiful beginnings,
a thousand flawless faces all wanting to be seen
But......
I only see a breathtaking masterpiece that could steal the show at any art gallery.

Do I see a bumblebee boogying with blueberries?
Do I see a penguin wearing pineapple pajamas?

A Look Into Graceys

She sailed on her tidal madness
waiting on time to unravel her
depths of insanity
while the wave of turbulence
coursed through her veins

She is lost in her own odyssey
pillaged by Fate
she lost all
leaving her in a Robinson Crusoe

hungry skies with reddish eyes
& rumbling stomach , rained tears
lashed with anger
calling for emergency

Warning signs, ringing loud
salient voices conversing with the wind
shadows laughing
mocking her caricature
crucified on a pike

who will bear her cross to Golgotha?
who will roll away the stone?
her loft disappeared into oblivion
waiting to be seen in her nothingness
looping back and forth
To be crowned Chaos Queen

The Vision - I Will Look Into Your Eyes

The vision gate-crashed my mind;
with the force of a meteoric collision
and then it began to glow.

From out of everywhere….
“When I declared, you were created in My Image.
you then taught that your image was Mine, when
in truth you are image-less but for My vision."

Foolishly I still tried to construct a countenance
with pigments dredged from my own earth.

A pause then…

“I will look into your eyes,”

What I saw made me both weep and laugh.
It was all so simple, so attainable this One visioning
and yet…

The vision looked away…

…I fell back to a sightless earth
glowing brightly.

Look Into Her Eyes

Do You See It
the Pain she trys to hide the hurt deep inside her longing eyes as
she fakes a smile you think she's ok but she feels like she's dying inside
she seeks a reason to stay on earth a reason to go on
she seeks the answers she cannot find she has a beautiful heart she can't hide she cry's in silence no one sees her she begins to fade into pieces because what she seeks she cannot find she's hurting deep inside and no one can save her from her pain she just wants to hide

Premium Member A Deep Look Into Poetry

Sometimes, I am given to wonder, why poetry
and stark reality must be torn so asunder?

Why the huge stress on a new babies cheeks?
When governments worldwide totally reek?

Why is winter weather or a flower so adored?
While all nations have food shortages that are
woefully ignored!

This is in in no way a denial that wonderful
things do exist!
Nor do I encourage writing a poem, with the shades of Oliver Twist!

Poems that have but a hint of how we actually are?
End up unread, and as unknown, as the planet Mars!

Short, and meaningless, oh yes, these are ogled and read like crazy.
Poetry that requires a pinch of thought, ends up, pushing up daisies!

Premium Member When I Look Into God's Daughter Beautiful Eyes I See-

when I look into your eyes, (with my minds heart)
I see your soul and deep inside me (I just want to sigh, almost cry)
I see not your faults, because Jesus paid in full those sins on the cross
Thank-you
Thank-you
Thank you Lord
Imperfect yet beautiful Daughter of a Living God
Your Highness, ever blessed Hallelujah
My beautiful repented sinner
Whom am I to judge for I am no better?
For we are both chosen and bettered by Our Father
Our Lord Jesus Our King
NO one’s better than any others
We are all God’s Children
When I look at you through my worldly eyes, you’re a prize
All I see it that you are perfect

Premium Member Optimistic Look Into My Future

Her smile is golden
Shall I bottle it and sell it?

Imagining joy she could bring
in forms of star dust and twilight streams
she has more than enough
she is forever smiling

my step is light
we dance a lively dance together
I am feeling giddy and excited

you are my future I tell her
She laughs
I know!
