In the shadow of silence, when the soul sings of unknown longings

An ancient song rises within me, like an incantation,
In which lines of stars float, caught in the threads of the night,
And the dream envelops me like a wave of infinite, ungraspable.
In the blue of this universe, where time flows slowly,

A sheltered search to fill a need
Peering from beneath the gray of doubt 

And yet devoid of fear save self
A kite-less string attempts to fly
Spurred on as scented winds pass by

For love is neither string nor kite
Nor tinder’s ever-present flame
Nor passion’s scathing conflagration

I know that one day 
When the wind blows on my face
I'll smile to myself;

And find beauty in the simplest of things.

And the flowers would make me reminisce the most beautiful of memories.

i'd fall to sleep so easily

and sway a melody
