A Memorable Person

On a train going south on business
For what seemed an eternity,
I chanced upon a memorable man
Who changed the path of my destiny

He was itinerant to look at
With tatty coat and shabby shoes,
An unshaven face, his hair unkempt
And string, as a belt on his ‘trews’

He boarded the train, peoples heads dropped
For fear that his gaze they’d meet
He walked down the aisle, disappointed,
As no-one would give up a seat

I offered the seat beside me
He thanked me for making the space
I replied with a sincere ‘you’re welcome’
And a smile warmed his weathered face

He asked me about my journey
And I asked of his in return
I felt in my heart, that by talking to him
There was much about life I could learn

I bought us both refreshments
As he told of his life’s history,
Once in a while I would interject
With a small anecdote about me

Behind the shabby persona,
Was a man of intelligent mind
He’d lived on the edge in finance,
Made his fortune, left it behind

As his bank account grew he’d lost everything
His family, his friends, his wife
He’d found out, too late, and at great cost
That there was so much more to life

‘You have to stop and smell the roses,
Make some time for those you hold dear’
And as he spoke, down his rugged cheek
I saw the track of a small, salty tear
As we reached the end of our journey
He clasped my hand at our time to part,
He thanked me for my company
And told me I had a good heart

When I got to my lonely hotel room,
I called my daughters on the phone
And told them ‘we’ll be together soon
I’m taking some time off when I get home.’

Sometimes it takes a chance meeting
To give your whole life a shake
I felt I had met my ‘Hermes’
And now had decisions to make

When I got home, I made a decision
The missed years with my girls I’d amend,
My life took a different direction
All down to my indigent friend

You can’t judge a man on appearance
But if you look in their eyes you can,
I knew in the instant I gave up the seat
I had met a remarkable man.

They meet, eat and drink, flutter and make merry.
Smiles flying from face to face, laughter airy.
They share a party of the soul and spirit;
their portrayal of mere humans satiric.

Laughing at our silly, paranoid folly
they point and guffaw, “Oh gosh, oh golly!”
They mimic us; watch as fear takes our good senses;
cover faces with gossamer, hide behind fences.

They laugh, sing and flit until time to sleep –
dreaming of foolish humans being led as sheep
neither caring nor daring thoughts of their own,
their leaders controlling – independence flown.

They awake and wonder, “What does this day bring?
A new year party with bright baubles and bling!”
Faeries, nymphs and sylphs plan a gala with friends
to last through the year – their party never ends.

Heartbreak, longing, memories

Inspired by the love we have to walk away from. Heartbreak, longing, memories.

Heartbreak, longing, memories
By Michelle Morris
26/11/2025

I loved you
I don't mind singing that song
I don't regret it
No love given freely is wrong

It doesn't matter now
It doesn't matter what you say
I walk away with my head held high
I don't need to talk about your betrayals

Somewhere in the bitterness
Of all those long, hard years
I realised I deserve way more from you
I deserve way more than these damn tears

Heartbreak, longing, memories
Oh, how they tug at my mind
Heartbreak, longing, memories
Why is a good man so hard to find?

Heartbreak, longing, memories
Oh, how they tear at my heart
Heartbreak, longing, memories
Who'd have thought we'd drift apart?

So, why, why do we do it like this?
And why, oh why, oh why, do we do it like that?
Why, oh why, oh why, oh why... Baby, baby?
Why?

I loved you, oh yes, I did
I don't mind singing that song
I don't regret it, I don't regret it baby
No love given freely is forgotten

It doesn't matter now
It doesn't matter what they say
I walk away with my head held high
I don't need to talk about our yesterdays

Heartbreak, longing, memories
Oh, how they tug at my mind
Heartbreak, longing, memories
Why is a good man so hard to find?

Heartbreak, longing, memories
Oh, how they tear at my heart
Heartbreak, longing, memories
Who'd have thought we'd drift apart?

Heartbreak, longing, memories
Oh, how they tug at my mind
Heartbreak, longing, memories
Why is a good man so hard to find?

Heartbreak, longing, memories
Oh, how they tear at my heart
Heartbreak, longing, memories
Who'd have thought we'd drift apart?

Analiza, How Our Love End Up This Way

I still like you
  for the first time
   serious and true.

Your charm is
   the weapon you still
   use with me.

Time and time again
  the memories we have
  still linger in my mind.

Though fate make joke with us
and we landed in others arm
my love see you in a distance.

I was young and naive
that I lost you in an easy gift
to a lad that has good intention.

That's who I am, a looking glass self
I put myself in the shoes of others
sacrificing my own happiness for others.

Now, you realized that I was right
in my true feeling, giving chances
for other's benefit for good intentions.

You me judge that I am stupid
to give way for other to change for good
   leaving me indepensable and weak.

I have no choice but to give up
this love I have so big and understandable
believing true love will come back to me.

That was the case in the end to find me
in four corners to know the truth
to rectify that love for me once more.

But fate really doesn't sided with us
we didn't cross our path and leave no mark
of whereabouts, no connection, no nothing.

Until we're on our fifthies
that fate able to find us through some bridges
   connecting our path once again.

But its too late, we have our own life now
our own family, our new friends and new fans
we ride on different boat going the sea of life.

The love we have no closure before end up
heartbreaking but settled, for in the face of all
adversity we once know what true love is.

First Signs of Love

What is this feeling that resides in me
I’ve felt it before, but not quiet the same
Was I stung by the sweetest honey bee

When did Cupid pass that I did not see
Certainly in this matter I have no shame
What is this feeling that resides in me

A nervousness I feel, coupled with glee
I am smiling a lot, but am not to blame
Was I stung by the sweetest honey bee

The experience makes me feel very free
But this moth has not eluded the flame
What is this feeling that resides in me

Something tells me, that I must decree
Inside there’s a wildness I can’t tame
Was I stung by the sweetest honey bee

I’ve felt some joy, but not of this degree
It must be real, yet it feels like a game
What is this feeling that resides in me
Was I stung by the sweetest honey bee

Premium Member Who Is He

The Similarities,
Between He And Me:

I just realized recently,
a sort of light bulb moment epiphany,
that this young man, a legendary figure of history,
shares a lot in common with yours truly,
which is possibly why he has always been of great interest to me.
He has an undeserved reputation as an outlaw by the majority,
and I have gained an unfair reputation as being certifiably crazy.
Both he and I are willing to risk our lives for what we believe.
Both he and I have gone up against an adversary almost impossible to win,
(me against my corrupt government, and he against the corrupt Santa Fe Ring).
Also, coincidently we both share the same first name.
Who is he?
Any guesses? Anybody?
Oh yes, one more thing, how forgetful of me,
both he and I can exude charm like you wouldn't believe.

You and I

You who I barely know, unconditionally love.
We are so close, You and I,
Yet we are too far apart.

What is it that persuades me to envy you?
How is it, looking at you, I see greatness?
Why are you the one I try to find?

You, I want nothing more than to please You!
To show You I can meet more than you expect!
To prove You can be proud, of me.

Me, You look at me in distaste,
My presence is never something good.
Something you would wish for.
Conversation between us, never an occourning thought.

Why do You treat me so?
Can you not see this makes me miserable?
What You do, how You do it, when You do it!
I am sad, unbearably sad.
Angry, unshakably angry.

You do this and can not see it?
Not see the pain and scars I carry with me?
Do You not hear me now, right this minuet!

Crying out to You.
Why do You walk away and disgrace me so?
And when You are here, You are not here at all.

Largest aspect of my life is You.
But where is it I fit into yours?
Have I ever been in it at all?

You, never looked in my eyes,
Tell me you care about what I do.
Would it make a difference?

Untouchable You are, untouchable I am.
You do not share Yourself with me,
I do not share myself with others.

Quiet you are, envious I am.
Pushing me away,
Further along without You I get.

So alike, You and I.
Who I barely know, unconditionally love.
Our connection thin as a hair.
I have lost You.

Who makes me angry,
Sad, miserable. The one I chase.
Who I can not talk to, can not see me,
The one that can not hear my cries.
You, I undyingly love.

Long Trip

Nervous.
Yes, I am.
It is going to be great.
We are going to go somewhere…fun.
It has been so long since I went, places.
It has been so long since I went, anywhere.

What should I do?
What should I take?
Will I be ready?

I pulled the travel bag out.
It is now waiting on the bed, to be filled.
A gapping black hole to put everything in.
all things that will be needed.
all things that I might have to have.
The sink does not fit… I tired it already.
How can I do without the sink?

Clothes, shoes, my toothbrush.
That is a good start…
Then I stop.
How can I go.
I need to take YOU with Me.

I drop my hair brush into the darkness.
My heart is beating too fast.
I breath deeply.
I need You.

I turn from the bag. I leave it there.
I go out. I go out into the garden,
the right spot by the roses.
It is a very special place, a hidden and protected one,
I bend my knees in worship, there on the ground.
The roses smell like sweet perfume.

I need you.

TEATIME WITH A DENNY’S CHEF

Fast forward: a ring sits on my finger,
I sit in a diner.
He’s with someone else,
he looks shocked.

Last sight: shocked,
he sees words pouring from my mouth,
like the seven seas.
The wave hit him like a rocky shore.

First meeting: don’t remember this baby-faced
grown man in twenties,
chef dressed in white coat and slanted cap,
mustache I think…giggle (left from far off past)

I do remember spiking his tea at work with salt.
Had no idea, what a whale’s water spout could do,
until that very moment…thought he was going to hit -
he was so mad.

But he would have us waitresses serve him

VIA

milkshake cup…so perhaps he deserved it!

Was it just per chance or did he seek romance,
needing a ride and all,
back and forth from work?

We worked the midnight shift,
Then he’d invite me in,
into his sister's house,
to chat and sip tea.

Even on my birthday, when I took way too long
bringing back my parent’s station wagon -
at almost noon.
Boy were they mad! Mom did not talk to me all day!

So he never said I love you, nor kissed, nor hinted,
but boy did he look mad, and sad, and sarcastic
when I told him I’d joined the Navy.

And that is the better part of my story

BECAUSE

soon I’d be a sailor’s wife!

Welcome Me Back

Welcome me back
If I say my desires you will not trust me,
If I speak to you in a low tone voice, you will dwell on my past
If I look for the future, you will rewrite my wrong doings for all to hear
However you do not just accuse me,but build a castle of my failed marriage along your earthly life
Yes: love will meet you one day but remember your past,to enjoy your future
I will not prophesy doom, for am just an ordinary man
But; if the grass is greener on the other, side it’s by God’s grace alone
Love is just between two people and divorce is not permitted in any way
Today we see deaths in the society and wish for God’s intervention
However as a man; how many women have I showed how to offer lustful fruits freely to those desiring the stolen waters ?
To you as a woman: how many men have you lead to break a bond that should remain tight in a holy matrimony?
Many will congratulate me, but the earthly desires leads us to fall and then, turn to science for explanations and investigations
Let me remain mindful of others, but let me condemn our current living style...
We save for the future, but make merry with those who with the purchasing ability
Then we discuss how someone, who is not even invited or involved in the meeting becomes a subject, due to a certain failure s/he is going through
But why do we discuss those we can’t help or when we help them a little we create online platforms to show how hypocritical our hearts are
On this I point no figure but say; it’s time we all did a soul searching and repent of our sins
But someone out there will say what right do I got to write:but remember, mine is a gift and a calling;
Yours is a gift to: read and understand my message, then live the a part and please God
I will not go further, but let’s remember God has called us all to serve ourselves with love for He Himself is LOVE
