Long Trip
Nervous.
Yes, I am.
It is going to be great.
We are going to go somewhere…fun.
It has been so long since I went, places.
It has been so long since I went, anywhere.
What should I do?
What should I take?
Will I be ready?
I pulled the travel bag out.
It is now waiting on the bed, to be filled.
A gapping black hole to put everything in.
all things that will be needed.
all things that I might have to have.
The sink does not fit… I tired it already.
How can I do without the sink?
Clothes, shoes, my toothbrush.
That is a good start…
Then I stop.
How can I go.
I need to take YOU with Me.
I drop my hair brush into the darkness.
My heart is beating too fast.
I breath deeply.
I need You.
I turn from the bag. I leave it there.
I go out. I go out into the garden,
the right spot by the roses.
It is a very special place, a hidden and protected one,
I bend my knees in worship, there on the ground.
The roses smell like sweet perfume.
I need you.
