"The 50 Move Rule"
Thomas Crown
rolled his smile
around her frown
Romance blew a warm breath
over her pristine cowrie shell
Voodoo Mojo Bag
There,
just there,
an Ocean made a Blue move
In the Red
Life
Black Black White
White White Black
Read,
A story to tell
White White Black
Black Black White
The 50 Move Rule
Thomas Crown
rolled his smile
around her frown
Love
has no strategy
Chemistry, richter scale rated
The mind being not vacant
Each piece moved in the puzzle
towards Walter Mitty
Calamity Jane
rides like Godova
into the Windy City
Unannounced
Packing pieces
of a puzzle
Thomas Crown
rolls his smile
around her frown
White White Black
Black Black White
Romance
with sharp teeth
bites ...
The 50 Move Rule
Checkmates
Pieces on a playing board
Life
Alligned?

“Are you following me?" she asks, but doesn't meet my gaze.
"Yeah," I say.
"Why?"
I give her the only honest and true answer I have.
"You're where I want to be.”
("Leaving Paradise")
"I grabbed my book and opened it up.
I wanted to smell it.
Heck, I wanted to kiss it.
Yes, kiss it.
That's right, I am a book kisser.
Maybe that's kind of perverted or maybe it's just romantic and highly intelligent.”
“Love, like everything else in life, should be a discovery, an adventure, and like most adventures, you don’t know you’re having one until you’re right in the middle of it.”
(Brushstrokes of a Gadfly)

Catching flies
“You catch more flies with sugar,”
oh yes, that’s what they say
If even just a little bit
those bugs will come your way
But somehow I have noticed
as this saying I explore
You’ll catch more flies with something else
that’s rotten to the core
I sprinkled just a little bit
of sweetness on my place
And noticed that a few of them
were flying round my face
But when I lifted up the lid
exposing last night’s meal
A thousand little buzzing things
approached the peas and veal
That made me think perhaps it’s wrong,
this saying that they use
These insects may like sugar
but it’s garbage that they chose
Which made me much more curious
about these things they say
So now I pose the question,
“Who would want flies anyway?”

Earth our home, our place we love so dear, we humans sometimes forget that you are our only home.
Earth we love you so, you are all of our home, we are sorry if we did any harm, we are trying to care and keep you perfect for all.
Earth we all want you to be okay and keep us all safe and well, we will be mindful of the ways we can care for our environment each day.
Earth so round, so perfect, so amazing with all your gifts, we all are so exciting each day on earth.
Earth we will think green, and keep things growing, leaving space for all of the other species, like birds and bees, we will think green so they too can live and feed.
Earth you are our home, we cherish you, we thank you for this awesome home.
Lifting prayers to God, today and always.
It’s been along time since your death but it seems like yesterday
I still mourn your loss and for your soul I pray
Nothing is the same I see life differently
Now that your gone I’ve changed to be the best I can be
To change how I live I’ve gone to the depths
Even though you’re gone I try to follow in your footsteps
My heart was black your love has turned it red
Where there was anger and hate now there’s happiness and joy instead
Forgiveness use to be the furthest thing from my mind
Now it’s easy I forget the past and I’m kind
To change how I live I’ve gone to the depths
Even though you’re gone I try to follow in your footsteps
Charity and generosity was not in my equation
Now I look for it in any situation
You were not perfect but you were as close as can be
I strive for it and want others to see
To change how I live I’ve gone to the depths
Even though you’re gone I try to follow in your footsteps
Maybe they’ll change for their own good health
Or find out the satisfaction of being true to oneself
All that you were is now a part of me to
Following your example brings me closer to you
If you saw me today -
not that "once upon a time"
17-year-old woman child
whose summer-fresh face you caressed -
would you still love me?
I like to believe it was love
that gazed back at me then
with those dark shining eyes.
If you saw me again, would your eyes still shine, and
would you still love me?
We took our separate paths.
Sadly, I know not where yours led
or if you still breathe the air of this earth.
If our paths were somehow to cross again,
would you still love me?
If somehow we met
and were free to be again
what we could have been then
had we not let it just slip away. . .
would you still love me?

ADDA is our third space,
A beloved & sacred place.
Here we learn to love self,
In vibrations, in intuitions we do dwell.
Want to wane worries, or cross a treacherous path,
Or simply need a supporting act.
Join, sit back and relax.
Take center stage or enjoy the ringside view,
Glow in our spotlight, or enjoy the reflected hue,
When the clock strikes 9:30, we are there for you.
It is a time to learn, to play, recognise or to celebrate.
A game, an expert, language or science,
History, finances or rhymes,
Or a journey through times.
ADDA has it all,
Join to have a ball!
Sometimes,
A treasure of stories,
Living fantasies,
A deep dive into realism.
A playfield,
For a novice, one’s first tryst,
Where one grows from a seed to a sapling or a caterpillar to a butterfly,
A stage for an expert,
An attentive ear, a learned audience- push you further to gly
ADDA has seen, celebrated it all!
ADDA takes a special feel,
When our dynamic duo, grace the screen.
A smiling diva - heart melting, benevolent Ma Mansi,
A guiding light, ceaseless wisdom, path maker, Guru Shivo
ADDA is a journey,
Many hop in, hop out,
Stamping their imprints, many to follow.
Wheel is in motion; it will roll on…
People come & people go,
ADDA is a constant, one cannot ignore!
Currently I find myself confined
To 1 room my bedroom
In the 3 bedroom house I presently
own or should I rather say have to
repay the mortgage on
Because although for the countless
many times she says she cares
her actions provide lasting proof
she quite obviously does not
She only ever seems to care when
if I don't and therefore effects her
Now when I leave or come back in
I enter not through the side door
But through the front door which has
barely ever been used or opened before
At my bedroom resides at the top of the
stairs that when I climb them creak which
really defines it's actual true age
A place called number 22 i bought in
essence I thought I could call my
own very home
Which once upon a long , long time ago
represented a fairytale come true that
besides pride , joy , happiness a all
encompassing safe space
So funny now how upon looking back
today each and every passing day
I further begin to see it as a tightening
rope around my neck strangling and
smothering me to death
And all I now want to do is leave this
place of ever increasing misery behind
as soon as is humanly possible
So at least I still have a few of some of
those my most cherished favorable
memories left to take with me
Before they are taken from me
and tainted forever and slowly ebb
away till finally they are long gone
So get me out of here as soon as
possible for heaven sake or mine
please
Whilst I still want or wish to have the
Number 22 Tattooed on my back
Before the Number 22 eventually
becomes placed beside or added
in the pantheon
Of so called other named unlucky
numbers such as the infamous ilk
of the dreaded
13
Put your hands up those who want more sillies
Counted six thousand, one hundred and forty
Seems like a bunch of you still like to giggle
Be assured, more's coming up shortly
First one, how does one make holy water?
That's easy, you boil the hell out of it
That's really quite funny and extremely clever
A copyright I've got in my mitts
They say nobody is perfect, well I'm a nobody
So it follows I must be perfect
If four out of five suffer from diarrhea
Must mean one person enjoys it's effects
A computer once actually beat me at chess
But it's no match for me at kick boxing
Beat the poop out of that annoying computer
Other laptops thought it was shocking
I say no to alcohol, but it just doesn't listen
That's the silliest thing I've ever heard
Whenever I talk quietly to my Bloody Caesar
It answers, “you are totally absurd!”
Whad'ya call a boomerang that won't come back
I guess I'd just call it a stick
What do you give a woman who has it all
Your phone number of course, Mr. Slick
Consilium from The Outlier
(A lone voice whispers)
(A lone voice whispers)
Have you ever encountered painful heartbreak, or are enduring, soul-destroying grief
And sometimes sit alone in the silence
Praying for any form of spiritual relief
If so, here are a few thoughts from a similar person, who's been through it all
No matter what you feel or happens today
A new dawn will still always rise again, tomorrow
A chance to knock down, any hastily built, mental walls
A chance to find a new form of freedom, to flourish
To subdue, all those painful feelings highlighted with sorrow
That no longer, nourishes
Some may say, you've just got to forget the past
Use reconciliation, beyond reason to last
But I say, do it this way
Love those even more so, who've passed away
And never again, believe in those
Who once broke, your unswaying three pillars of trust
By charging in like the doomed, British Light Brigade
With all the sad games, they once played
Leaving you standing alone
On parade,
For all to see
In depressions black dust

Counseling comes from the Latin root consilium, meaning “advice.”
Foundation.
Relationships
Can you ever trust a person after being betrayed on any level?
Grief
Does time really heal, and do you want to forget someone special, you once loved?
Wayland here again with another clerihew to end the year
These will probably never be famous, but that isn’t the fear
Sometimes the honesty is these may be just a little too strong
They're all done in fun, but some lines seem to go wrong
The philosopher lays the blame in the characters included
Only to what’s written here on the soup has he alluded
No outer sources does he ever interview
I say sorry to those victimized by my clerihew
Mr. Bunch, I don't remember calling myself that
Hasn’t been the one known to avoid a spat
Of what he feels and sees he likes to write
These truly are in fun, with little or no spite
Jack E I haven’t looked yet to see his new work
He has so much wit he could be a funny jerk
But he writes and really abstains from anger
If he got mad though, I’d bet there’d be intellectual danger
Good thing he’s Santa with no time to read these
If you see him, probably don’t mention them please
I don’t want to encourage him with another form
The quatrain that is what has become his norm
Advancing in age but he’s still feisty old Saint Nick
If you don’t believe me you’ll have to read his limerick
I said limerick but he’s naughty in more than one
If you want a particular Santa’s Beard is filled with pun
FJ Thomas seems to enjoy being clerihewed
Her comments leave me believing she’s no prude
An example would leave some saying I’ve a dirty mind
I’d have to say did you really read or are you blind
I’m glad Mrs. Thomas decided not to leave
She felt the affection from the comments she did receive
I try to leave affectionate comments for my part
But I know often times my a** is a little to smart
How many of these about PD could I write
If I started now I’d be here till tomorrow night
She definitely is engrained everywhere just read
I still hold that of a new nemesis she has some need
Then she could destroy her imagery is uncanny
I bet under the bullying category she has many
So sweet and innocent my first impression of her
Then I went back and found why she’s called destroyer
Yes Linda couldn’t have picked a better name
The poor souls that were the victims of her fame
I remember a specific one haven’t seen him around
If she’s looking for a new victim, tell her I can’t be found
Once again note that these are all in fun, and only 99% of this should you believe, lol. I had about 5 more but ran out of space and courage haha.
