Instantly I fell
into his dark liquid eyes
He held a soft freshness that bloomed
in my heart opening the petals of love
How his gentle eyes fell upon me
drinking in my sweetness
Hardly a word spoken, seeing
my dreams reflect in his smile
Stimulating my creativity
becoming an unknowing muse
Memories are so vivid of his
strong gorgeous silhouette,
how waves rippled throughout
my body from his touch
The man of my dreams,
my summer love, my heart
I will never forget....
what's his name

my hands hang heavy and useless by my side
fingers that stroked your thick white fur feel lost
i burst into bolts of tears
they fall into the lifeless void
where you sat and kept me company
the silence smacks me hard
i want to hear your happy pants
memories flood over me til i’m drowning inside
i long to see your devoted face and loving eyes
to relive those happy, carefree moments
but the deafening void clings to me mercilessly
backyard trees droop sadly to the ground
the yard is empty without your paws patrolling the paths
i cannot hear the birds chirping in the trees
i cannot see the butterflies meandering in the garden
i cannot smell the sweetness of the jasmine
for the void is too vast and too deep
one cannot stop the waves from crashing into the shore.

She tasted like honey, like apples ripe,
A sweetness that lingered in the night's sweet light.
With every breath, I drank her soul,
And found in her touch, I was made whole.
She tasted of sugar, a kiss in the breeze,
The flutter of wings in the tallest of trees.
She brought the sun when my skies were gray,
And melted the frost that clouded my way.
Like rainwater pure, she rushed through my veins,
Washing away all my sorrows and pains.
Her laughter, like rivers, ran wild and free,
A soft, soothing current that carried me.
She smelled of the earth, of green fields wide,
Of wildflowers blooming in places that hide.
Her scent was the dawn breaking through night,
A breeze full of promises taking flight.
She came like the spring after winters long,
A melody whispered, a forgotten song.
Her presence, a whisper, both soft and strong—
I was home in her arms where I belong.
And when she was near, the world would glow,
With her breath like the wind’s sweet ebb and flow.
She tasted like honey, her spirit divine,
In her touch, I was hers, and she was mine
I would like to fly away
to soar in the wind, to dip and glide
and be detached and apart from all reality
where the past shrouds my life
although sealed by a door chained . . .
Oh, to flutter on the edge of memory
to tremble and hover grasping
like a breathtaking butterfly with gossamer wings
but then, then . . .
the cold finger of the past comes creeping
monsters and sorrows that shatter my soul
and the beautiful is lost in the carnage
leaving me to this eternal sadness
so, I keep the door to the past closed . . .
with padlock and heavy chains
and the battle with anguish and happiness
rages endlessly hidden
why can it not rest in peace . . .
But the past is a strong warrior and I, but a butterfly
with gossamer wings
yet from time to time
a whispering memory finds a way
from under that weighty door
and I hold that sweetness
to my heart . . .

Seventh Place
Rays of yellow and orange sunlight
Your eyes beaming with delight
Strolling hand by hand along the garden
Where flowers blooms and sweetness blend
Tucking an orchid behind my ear
Drawing me so close and so dear
I smell your musky natural scent
Twirling and filling me with sense
Quietly, we sat and had a small talk
Unminding even, as night falls
On the grass, we lie down
Staring up and pointing to heaven stars
Under the shadowy gleam of the moon
There and there, we shared one kiss
Next to you in a warmth loving cocoon

My sweetness, from you, my first meal,
Exclusively for six.
And for many more months after~
The grub that made me tick.
You'd go hungry for me to eat.
Still my tum begs for more
What yours for days has been denied,
For hunger there to roar.
Empty tummy twirls blank your eyes,
Then you fall down and faint.
Still you rise just to find me food,
Your hunger no restraint.
More I grow, so your sacrifice.
You forsake your pleasure~
For me to have a great future.
To you, I'm your treasure.
Why Mama becomes my best word~
On my lips, just your praise.
I care not what anyone thinks.
In my heart, your love stays.
Your face now wrinkled by old age,
More, to me, you're pretty.
Tell me Mama how to pay back,
I'll pay to show pity.
Age of the living is made of what
Nothing but a few biological numbers
The count of destined steps from the start
To unknown destination nobody knows where.
The toil of journey reflects clear
The body takes the brunt of the years
The feelings cocooned in the inner sphere
Like to remain untouched by the time’s flares.
A young mind under wrinkled skin
Like the sweetness of the fruit ripe already
Would have the mute desire to reach and win
The youthful heart residing within un-aged body.
If in the same rhythm two hearts beat
For them time would stop to make any sense
Past forgotten, in present two souls would meet
For Cupid’s arrow the notion of age has no credence.
Rising from depth of ageless emotion
Spreading like waters of the flooding river
Love assumes a visionless heavenly dimension
In a delightful flower blooming with Platonic fervor.

Silent Escape
A light breath of wind refreshes his skin,
and the sun slowly fades away.
His gaze wanders through a violet-pink sky,
where faded clouds drift along.
Offering himself to the slow magic of the day,
the shades glide in harmony.
Silence lays a veil upon the shapes of the world,
evaporating in soft rising vapour.
He whirls, lost among immaterial beauties,
given to the immensity of space.
He lets himself be carried, his thoughts diluted in the clouds,
breathing in the sweetness of escape.
Then he drifts, guided by the mingled light of colours,
feeling weightless in the absence of sound.
It is not a dream nor an illusion,
but the quiet force of the reader who forgets himself.
To escape for a few moments…
into mute abysses where the sky glows and remembers.

God gave the world color to add interest and beauty,
Matched and perfectly blended, from purples to ruby,
From autumn leaves to endless lavender fields of joy,
And from forest birds, to evening sunsets we enjoy!
Cherished sweet blooms, crowding the gardens of summer,
Days like the gay peacocks, strutting past in a blur!
The orchards of sunshine days, ripe and pretty to eat,
And the whiteness of winter, giving relief from heat.
The moments of springtime are brimming with greenness,
From vivid tulip fields to honeycomb's amber sweetness,
And the profound blackness of each starry jet midnight,
And the pale changeless moon, lending its silver light!
Clouds that change colors according to the sun's mood,
And the brightly hued harvests that we consume as food,
Rainbows and bright planets, such as our neighbor, Mars-
I'd dearly love to read, Earth's kaleidoscopic memoirs!
In the dark recesses of my mind
Dwells a passion for life and all it's secrets
To experience the wonders of this amazing world
To discover its vast oceans of knowledge
To revel in the sweetness of a gentle breeze
To smell nature's lingering aroma after a summer rain
The moonlit nights that light our way home
The magic of those bright twinkling stars
How fortunate we are to be alive
To be able to experience the magic of the morning
With the sweet smell of honeysuckle in the air
As we stroll through unending fields
Of lush greenery under brilliant blue skies
Some would describe this as heaven on earth
I would describe it as, “whatcha bin smokin' dude!”
