I Will Never Forget

Instantly I fell into his dark liquid eyes He held a soft freshness that bloomed in my heart opening the petals of love How his gentle eyes fell upon me drinking in my sweetness Hardly a word spoken, seeing my dreams reflect in his smile Stimulating my creativity becoming an unknowing muse Memories are so vivid of his strong gorgeous silhouette, how waves rippled throughout my body from his touch The man of my dreams, my summer love, my heart I will never forget.... what's his name 2nd place Contest: I will never forget what's his name Sponsor:John Lawless Date:9/12/2019

Cleverly constructed poem, Brenda...a touch of genius in all truthfulness; your usual rich sensuality that accompanies your writing when tackling this sort of theme of course..but with that brilliantly conceived twist introduced right at the very end. If this has been written for a contest it deserves serious consideration. Impressed! Much fondness. :) john

this one is so beautifully penned my friend, reminds me of a romance, as hot as summer itself, to a younger adult, they would seem the perfect lover in the moment, our whole world...but how quickly we forget as we age and find real love...great write! :) hugs
