Premium Member Our Tears Have Run Dry

Oh, my Lord,
Be patient with all of us poets
Who, incessantly, on love we write
And
Rivers of burning tears unleash
Every day
For
To express the unbearable pain we feel
Because
Someone has shattered our hearts by
Turning us down

But

Who unmoved, like stones remain
At the sight of thousands of men, women and children
That
Victims have fallen to the terrorists’ bullets and
Knives around the world

Excuse us, oh Lord, for our indifference, but our
Tears have run dry

So

Unable are we to mourn those who for Your Love
Have fallen!

* Dedicated to the memory of all children, women and men
who have, either, been raped, enslaved, sold, executed or decapitated
for not succumbing to terror, being they Christians or of another faith! Our indifference doesn’t help anyone but those who commit such crimes!

Care not for the Wh0re

Poke and point and pince and prod
My penniless pockets
And a bra unable to uphold,
A breast to guarantee your rest

Lay in alleys in all your ailing worries
And sloughs of spittle
Splurged and purged b'neath your body.
Hold me, honour me,
Caress the cares entangled within my clumped hair
Harass the proficient proclamations of love,
Laying alongside my broken body.

I dare leer at the lies, leashing my soul to your life
For I do but believe
Boys breed bearded brawlers
And flesh too calloused to caress
And I vacate a vacuum
Of hands vying for the wet of my sex
And the sucking cumbersome succumbing
Salary, siezing a lustful lustre to shine 'pon my sultry gaze

Premium Member God Is At Work In My Afflictions

God knows me needing for urgent care
Beseeching for His assured welfare
Ailing with discontentment’s scare
While longing for His promises I treat as rare.
God brings me to His throne where at His blessings I can stare!

God understands me sighing anxiously
Expressing my complaints sorrowfully
Murmuring about unfairness grudgingly
While questioning my state bitterly.
God counsels me to seek His will meaningfully!

God recognizes me struggling against frustration
Succumbing to sinfulness’ oppression
Leaning toward welcoming desperation
While craving for His pardon’s restoration.
God grants me forgiveness toward Christ-like transformation!

God remembers me cringing in difficulty
Mourning over my self-inflicted calamity
Grieving because of worldliness-caused infirmity
While yearning for His joy and tranquillity.
God corrects me with His mercy so I can attain biblical maturity!

God pities me in my woes, feeling worthless
Wallowing in the futility of slothfulness
Afflicted with the guilt of fruitlessness
Pleading for His compassion* and faithfulness.
God instructs me to serve Him thru His power to enjoy His bountifulness!

*Psalm 86:15 ...Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

Turn By Turn

The Nightingale chirps it's tune
Perching high on the birch
Such melody that shatters the borne
Like waves hitting against the beach.

The seasons wait their turns
Emanating both the drizzle and the rays
Succumbing to nature's terms
And changing lives in many ways.

Over the horizon, some emerge
And through many roads, some wonder
And while our dreams may diverge,
The kindred spirit often does not saunter .

Patience, abounds in us
Succumb to it when it's time
Then eventually we shall be lifted off our cross
And with euphoria shall we cross the pine.

Have Courage

Keep fighting with your might; I will see you, shining tonight,
My little starlight...don't be defeated by depression by your delayed flight
You shattered my hopelessness and doused me with delight
When will you take flight, you angel of love, burning so bright?

Believe in yourself
Don't place me in the far left shelf
Believe in me...please...
Put my mind at...ease...
Have courage...
Behave and be brave

I wish you well
You're a heaven, not a hell
Where do you dwell now?
You make my heart pound somehow

Believe in yourself
Don't place me in the far left shelf
Believe in me...please...
Put my mind at...ease...
Have courage...
Behave and be brave

Have no inner rage...you're a red, white and blue robin in a cage
be compassionate and gentle...
Even though we're on a different page...we should've been on the same page
You're beautiful and little...

Believe in yourself
Don't place me in the far left shelf
Believe in me...please...
Put my mind at...ease...
Have courage...
Behave and be brave

Don't squander my time
I'm the poet, needing more time to rhyme
I can't conquer this feeling of anxiety,
Succumbing to suicidal ideations...kissing fatality...
But, there's hope in mind...I'm sorry, I'm not your kind
There's more courage inside, but there's a monster, dying to come out...and I'm coming along with the ride
But I can't let go of you, for I've been left behind
Only to find your shadows and I have nowhere to hide

Poem in the Fragmented Form Created by Poetess: Constance la France

The good work is done by people with jagged, broken edges because those edges cut things and leave an imprint, a design. By Harry Crews

Love's blades tear within as a dull scalpel with teeth
Leaving merely a crushed, dead chunk of flesh
It shreds, gouges, and weeps till the heart bequeaths
Offering its heart gambles will be accepted fresh,
Being hugged frowns as it gulps the vile reality
The dagger sinks further, piercing the frailty of sanity
A heart still bleeds while succumbing to sociality
Pathetic, petrous parcel with pebbly peaks
            Jagged-toothed dome rising into bespeaks,
Each is engraved, erose, and has surface breaks.
Swallowed by a murky quagmire of an abyss beneath,
Snapping at heels all life, laden with vessel mensch,
Unfathomable evil clings to grief and jagged vitality
Vow to thrive with every word your soul speaks.

    morose
sleepless in bed
a grieving poet
his raw emotions
     flooding
         blank pages
 in the dead of twilight
c a l c u l a t i n g
the weight of his grief
         paralyzed
by sudden loneliness
his moribund four-legged companion
of a decade and change
couldn't be saved
succumbing to cancer
euthanized
        a huge loss
he loved that dog
more than he ever did
most humans
his thoughts
intermittently wandering
toward a particular memory -
a fun game of fetch
at the park with "Lucky" -
his tired eyes
finally flutter shut
heartfelt send-off
unfinished
pen still trapped
between his ink-stained fingers
elegy to be continued...
in the infancy of daybreak
he will ensure
his fellow mourners
know just how much
his beloved "Lucky"
 meant to him

My spirit beseeches God Who helps me attain servanthood maturity!

Deception

Standing on an abandoned beach
On a deserted island
Beyond fortune's reach
Feels like a dryland
Though dampness of ocean beseiges

I scribbled my falsehood
In sand of seashore
Washed away the waves
The second I re-bore
Into my facade of hollow sandalwood

I became the artist living in dreams
Suppressing the internal surreal screams
Kept glorifying the warmth of sun's scorching heat
That's devoid of compassion but my fabrication was neat

Dusk broke, I hoped for gentle breeze
Disappeared the sun ,letting me mirthlessly freeze
I pushed away the ships meant for rescues
Succumbing to flawlessness upon a demon's cues

I became a captive of psedo-laughters
The island was hollow
It stood on wobbly rafters
Looks impeccable but disguised to swallow

Premium Member Indulgent Love

Like melted chocolate,
words dripping
from his velvety tongue
rippled to her heart;
she tasted their rich flavor,
inhaled the aroma,
succumbing to
emotional intoxication.
She craved for more...
Seduced by luxuriant words,
her defenses weakened,
overpowered
by an irresistible urge
to bathe in love’s indulgence.

Opulent pleasures
caressed her thoughts.
Each syllable drew a sigh.
Her wish: to be sated
His unspoken promise: to fill her
with abandon – to thrill her.
She no longer dared
inhibit the demands
her soul was making;
this was hers for the taking.
Warning signs: DENIED!
She tasted the sweetness
gratifying her cravings
in his indulgent love.
