Nobody can go on without loving
when loneliness becomes your friend;
your dreams and freedom are limited,
always seek me out, darling
and survive just for my sake:
whenever you are about to break!
When loneliness becomes your friend,
you'll dedicate your time to this fiend;
no sweet memory of me will be adored,
I was that guy who showed you how to love,
but then was forgotten and remained alone...
hoping for a change of heart and mind!
If all you did was cruel and guilt feelings
won't let you sleep...realize I am not gone;
since you dedicated yourself to another guy,
I toss in my bed and wish on the stars...
you would be holding me and forget your goodbye;
what matters now is that we are happy, not alone!
When loneliness becomes your friend,
you don't want anybody else in your personal space,
you wouldn't want me either and change
your perspective that I was unfaithful, selfish, and rude
to you more than you were to me instead!
Anywhere you go, carry me in your thoughts;
I haven't hurt, you have hurt me a lot!
I planned a tomorrow together and weave
lovely dreams inspired by imagination and heart:
kissing by the fading sunset, never wanting to leave!
I came into this world one day
Sunday 27th December 1953
but life didn't go as planned
given up for adoption was little me
Then, after 6 weeks, I was found
a new mum & dad came to sdopt
they wanted a boy to keep
so pleased to know I'm caught
Looking back over my years
I've been blessed to be found
with parents who showed love and care
being an only child truly crowned
Thinking back on how life could have gone
in many directions, far and near
but God's providence has been kind
guiding my hand whispers in my ear
All my ways that I have gone through
unexpected experiences have been my lot
once in a lifetime, they have been
never believed when in my cot!
One fine morning the mirror showed
some silver strands in my black hair
though few in number but very bold
started sprouting here and there.
For me it was a disadvantage
started thinking to get rid of them
so that I could hide actual age
told my son,'Let's start a new game'.
With him soon I made a small deal
'Rupees one for each silver hair,
just pluck them off my black head, till
no more patches remains there'.
Merrily he agreed with that,and
whenever wanted to make some quick bucks,
used to tell me,'Just lie down dad,
I can see some patches to pluck'.
Soon those silver strands disappeared
son was happy with the bucks he got,
but something different started to appear
the mirror now shows a big bald spot'.

Closer to you
As life would have it
I met you by chance
Never thought you would give me
a second glance
You even tried hiding from me,
like you always do
There's nothing I wouldn't do
to get closer to you
How can it be that you
are standing next to me?
when it's plain for all to see
you're way out of my league
God answered my prayers,
you came right out of the blue
Now there's nothing I wouldn't do,
to get closer to you
Chorus
Closer to you is... where I want to be
me loving you for all eternity
Being beside you sets my soul free
Closer to you is...where I want to be
Suddenly my life started
to make much more sense
We were finally together,
in the present tense
The impossible is happening,
but I know that it's true
Now there's nothing I wouldn't do
to get closer to you
I showed you my love,
gave you my true devotion
You started realizing,
it was a valuable emotion
Your heart finally melted
and you said to me I do
Now there's nothing I wouldn't do,
to get closer to you
Chorus
I know that I've been blessed,
wouldn't take that for granted
How our love has grown,
all my fears have been supplanted
Many years have passed,
they've been more than just a few
Now I'll spend eternity and forever,
getting closer to you
Chorus repeat
fade

...The devil didn’t hide, he strutted right out,
a smile painted on his red face.
“Why my dear sheriff, how in the world
Did you ever find my new place?”
Abner stared on, seething with hate.
“An old friend told me to find you here,”
He explained, glancing up to the sky.
“You know why I’m here, you son-of-a-*****.
You made those poor people die.
And now has come your time!”
The devil he laughed, and shook his head.
“You think that Colt will take me down?
I’m a damned archangel, and well beyond
The people of this backwater town.
Now behave, and toss that on the ground.”
Abner lifted his arm, taking careful aim
at the devil’s broad, muscled, red chest.
The devil just sighed, and started forwards
“You should not put me to the test,”
The devil did smugly confess.
Abner squeezed back on the trigger,
And a shot rang out in the night.
The devil lurched backwards, screaming loud,
his hellish face a mask of fright.
He looked down, shocked at the sight.
A hole their awaited, the flesh dissolving
around where the bullet had hit.
He gasped and looked up at Abner,
saying,”No! No, I don’t believe it!”
Abner just smiled, then on him spit.
“Pride, its goes before a fall,
that you of all folks should know!
I talked to your Pa, and He answered true,
and showed me the best way to go
about laying your carcass low.”
“See into each bullet I carved a cross,
and in holy water I dipped the tips
Then old Priest Frazier blessed each one
Blessed my gun, and then gave lip
to the Big Guy to watch over my trip.”
The devil shrank back, eyes afire,
struggling to say on his feet.
Abner he fired five more times,
what the devil sowed he then reaped,
and fell to the ground in defeat.
His body dissolved into the snow,
His soul went screaming back to Hell.
Abner breathed a sigh, holstered the gun,
and stood their quiet for a spell.
They he walked out, heading down the hill.
Now some folks say the crash of ninety-three
was what drove folks from Aspen’s mines,
And ushered in the beginning
of the town’s long and sleepy times.
But the real story you will find
Is that the dark one roamed and destroyed
until an old cowboy took him apart,
And for decades to come he raged in Hell
about Abner Gidden, that damned upstart
who dared shoot the devil in the heart!
I am a garden pansy, a descendent of the family Viola,
poet's write praises of me not just these days;
but in the days of Spencer and Shakespeare, I am that old,
I am a small flower but a garden survivor.
You planted me in early Spring in the partial sun,
I love the sun and soon showed my purple face;
I am a cheerful upturned bright and happy garden flower,
symbolizing thinking and thoughts for you.
In the summer months butterflies caress my petals,
and bees steal my nectar but I have tons;
I love watching the birds fluttering about the garden,
oh, chipmunks bite 'cause I am edible !
I've lived my life with heart aches and pain,
with trouble's pouring down like fallin rain.
I tried to walk the christian way,
but the lack of knowledge, kept me astray.
Being told all the time I was going to hell you see,
yet I was doing my best, how could this be?
From God, I would try to run and hide,
yet his spirit with me would still abide.
His gentle voice kept saying to me,
know the truth you'll be set free.
I would say to this voice, from deep within,
you will have to show me where I begin.
People spoke of demon's, and evil spirit's, you see,
I was told a million times, they lived inside of me.
I would talk to God, as I'd cry myself to sleep,
He'd tell me in his word, I'd have to dig deep.
I spent Year's of running, trying to drown this voice,
I couldn't get away, it seemed I had no choice.
Through many heartaches, and churches I did go,
I begin to dig deep, I just had to know.
I wouldn't give up, I needed the truth you see,
for it's the only way I could be set free.
And now today from my heart I can truly say,
I know the truth, for his spirit showed the way.
It goes to deep, to write it all down here you see,
like sin, with this word they decieved, both you and me.
Adam and Eve died because of knowledge you know,
we are destroyed for the lack of knowledge, I can truly show.
Take a few minutes, ask me something that you're fighting through,
about sin, spirit's, the devil, for we've been deceived that's true.
Know the truth for it will set you free,
ask your questions, you'll learn the truth from me.
SUN SAT DOWN, NITE ROLLED IN,
BRINGING ALONG HIS WHISPERING WINDS.
FROST ARRIVED WITH COLD AND CHILL.
THEY WERE ALL EXCITED, EXPECTING A THRILL.
MOON WAS LIT, BUT STILL SHINING BRIGHT.
SPRING AND AUTUMN WERE SUCH A DELIGHT.
SNOW SURE LOOKED DAPPER, AS DID HIS FABULOUS WIFE.
DRAPED IN ALL SILVER WAS THE DIVINE, PRISTINE ICE.
MOTHER NATURE, WAS DRESSED IN ALL WHITE.
I HAVE TO ADMIT, SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT.
SHE DAZZLED WITH DIAMONDS, FROM CENTER EARTH.
SHE SOAKED IN, ADMIRATION, FOR ALL IT WAS WORTH.
WHEN SUMMER WALKED IN, EVERY HEAD TURNED AND SMILED.
THAT VERY MOMENT, I WILL CHERISH A WHILE.
TIME AND HIS FATHER, SAID HELLO TO ALL.
MY EYES WERE LOCKED, ON THE LOVELY DAUGHTER FALL.
HER CHARMING SISTER DAWN, APPEARED TO BE WELL.
SHE WAS HOLDING THE HAND OF THEIR NIECE SOUTHERN BELL.
FIRE AND WATER ENTERED WITH A SPLASH.
SWELTERING HEAT SHOWED UP, BUT NOT LAST.
THERE WERE PLENTY OF STARS, FOR THIS WORLDLY EVENT.
MANY OF THEM WERE HEAVENLY SENT.
NORTH AND SOUTH,EAST AND WEST.
DRESSED TO THE NINES, AND LOOKING THEIR BEST.
THE SEATS WERE FILLED DOWN ON THE FLOOR.
WE WAITED ALL YEAR AND THIS IS WHAT FOR.
OLD MAN WINTER STEPPED UP ON THE STAGE.
HIS CEREMONIAL ATTIRE WAS ALL THE RAGE.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN GOOD EVENING TONITE
I BESTOW UPON YOU, A SPECTACULAR SIGHT.
A SPECIAL THANK YOU, TO UNIVERSAL RIGHTS.
I NOW PRESENT YOU, MY FAMED, NORTHERN LIGHTS.
When he was young. I thought he was old. It never occurred to me that I might be wrong. That old wouldn’t show up for years and years, decades even. He wasn’t tall like my grandfather. But he wasn’t short either. He had a habit of biting his cuticles that I inherited and would be reluctant to give up until I found myself with dentures and the inability to truly bite through the meat of the cuticle. I don’t know if he discovered the same inconvenience when he started wearing dentures but feel like he must have. When he left my mother, back in 1977, I wasn’t devastated the way some children might have been. The devastation came when I found out that his leaving didn’t leave me with much of an option. I had to grow up and discover for myself – this world where I’d been a child, an only child at that. It wouldn’t take me long to realize that, without him at home, I had more liberty. I could ask for things and they would be given. I could stay overnight with friends without being hassled. I could do those things that he wouldn’t have allowed because he was more controlling than my mom. It was only when I got older, much older, that I would remember the days before he left without thinking to myself, I must have got that from him. The angry words, spoken before thinking. The jealousy that came in spurts. The dark side of myself. The side that was so unlike my mom, who was a reflection of grace itself. It would take me many years to whack away at those character traits that made me realize I was, like him, the “bad guy”. It would take me years, and he became old as I lived. In his old age, I could see that he wasn’t as big as I remembered him to be. He wasn’t as bad as I’d thought he was. I realized that he was just a child himself. A child, when I’d thought he was old. But when old finally showed itself, it came with such defeat that I knew he wasn’t as strong as I’d thought him to be, either. In fact, I could see he was quite weak. So weak. He’d put on that strength like a coat, just a coat to help him survive the storms. While inside, he’d felt feeble all along. Just like me.
tears never melted
the silence between our hearts
though years misjudged us
We come together as children of the Most High and Holy God. "The Light of the World is Jesus. In heaven there is no darkness at all." A bright and shiny candlestick shinning admits the darkness of this fallen world. Our bright and shinning candlelight is Jesus Christ. He is our both our Lord and Redeemer.
When we were lost in the darkness of the world, he showed us the way.
Once we were lost in sin and despair. Unable to discover hope anywhere. Once we were lost for all eternity. "The Light of the World is Jesus. In heaven there is no darkness at all." The shinning light of the heavenly sphere is Jesus Christ. The author and source of everlasting light. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Son of Man. He is our guiding light morning, noon, and nighttime.
We come together as children of the Most High and Holy God. We come together to worship and sing praises to our beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. "The Light of the World is Jesus. In heaven there is no darkness at all." The shinning candlelight of heaven and earth is Jesus Christ. The Lord of heaven and earth!
Love in Christ Jesus Christ!
