Halloween Eyes

Elegant in burnt orange afterglow,
sparkling starlight opens the show.
Neighbors and strangers appear all aroun’,
porch lights and car lights enlighten the town.

They arrive afoot and atop handlebars.
Tots wave from strollers like famed movie stars.
Mothers bellowing orders to stay in sight,
transgressors will rue being naughty tonight.

Flickering lights and untied laces
nudge fidgety feet through their paces.
Masquerade masks make eager accomplices’
too impish eyes and mischievous faces.

Scowling Jack-O-Lanterns carved in creepy effigies
prove impotent charms to appease candied fantasies.
Festooned arches adorned in orange and black,
ornate ornaments to win the neighborhood plaque.

Into the gauntlet of terror they swarm;
dressed to play in pillaging uniform.
Tree and flower tremble and quiver;
Bumped and trampled in their fervor.

Werewolves wailing through grimacing grins
herald a night of howling hymns.
Ghostly spirits from the bowels of earth,
hang from gallows, grinning in ghoulish mirth.

Silken chains embracing all who stray,
beckons the widow to her frightened prey.
Garnished by cackling cries of certain demise,
steaming cauldrons poach their pitiful prize.

Spades of woe shadow souls who rashly ignore,
ominous omens attached to windows and doors.
Like tocks from a clock they continue to arrive,
will the morrow find anyone left still alive?

Hostiles charitably looting town,
sacks of booty slowing them down.
Toting bags of looted plunder,
looming hordes scatter asunder.

Pass me by, to my neighbor grace his stage,
assuage with him your gluttonous rage.
Rapacious hands swaying in ritual dance,
exuberance untethered in blitzing advance.

Eyeing my castle the rioting rabble rush in,
guarded only by growlin’ dog an’ smilin’ pumpkin.
Upon my stoop they brazenly climb,
my breath on hold, I hear the chime.

My time I fear is near at hand,
my blood or treasure they demand.
Hunkered down and hidden from sight,
no mercy presented for my plight.

With sweaty palms and pounding heart,
please Lord I pray, make them depart.
For a shot of strong “Spirits” I silently scream,
‘cause I forgot the candy on this Halloween!

~ KNOW THYSELF
Honest examination brings truth

~ KEEP IT REAL
It saves you from the need to convince others through a multitude of words

~ DO NOT MANIPULATE
It is an act of psychological violence

~ BE CONSISTENT
It is the foundation of trust

~ SAY WHAT YOU MEAN AND MEAN WHAT YOU SAY
Why say something that lacks integrity?

~ WALK LIKE YOU KNOW WHERE YOU’RE GOING
Predators will think twice

~ ALWAYS LOOK YOUR BEST
Details matter. But do not become vain or conceited. Moderation is key

~ ALWAYS LOOK PEOPLE IN THEIR EYES
It is an act of personal power, and shows you have nothing to hide

~REMEMBER THE NAMES OF EVERYONE YOU MEET.
It brings favor in your life

~ KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS
It could save your life, and possibly the lives of others.

~ ALWAYS CHECK YOUR MOTIVES
You have to be honest with your inner-most being, but you should always know what truly motivates you.

~ TAKE RISKS IN LIFE

~ DO NOT FEAR CONFRONTATION
The greater your awareness, the less ignorance can control you

Those who speak rashly have not considered the power or meaning
of their words

~ DO NOT BE A BLIND FOLLOWER
It keeps you from drama and from unforeseen danger

~ WHATEVER YOU DO, DO IT WELL
The more blood, sweat and tears you put in your endeavors, the more purposeful you are. It is the building block to building your name

~ WAKE UP AND DO NOT GO BACK TO SLEEP
Stay alert .There is a real enemy, and he never sleeps. You have been warned.

~ BE A HERO
Protect the innocent. Defend the defenseless. They are vulnerable and targeted

~ BE A VOICE FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS
In a world where bad is good, and good is bad, we need bold and courageous people to speak out without apology. For example: "WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN!???"

~ COVER THE NAKED
Whether it is lack of clothing, or dignity, or identity, be their covering. Exploitation is a crime against the human spirit.

~ DO NOT LET ANYONE DIE ON YOUR WATCH
If you see someone dying and you keep going, then you do not know that you are already dead. The life of every soul cannot be priced. We are NOT disposable

Accusation

My vast steppe blessed with treasures untold,
A peaceful land where labor unfolds.
Seeing this nation's abundance and peace,
Enemies gathered, their threats unleashed.

If a person’s heart is blinded by ignorance,
They follow the words of others without resistance.
Those who act rashly, without a second thought,
Will regret their mistake for a lifetime, distraught!

The fallen can rise again to their place,
The weeping can smile with a cheerful face.
But if faith and belief are absent in your heart,
A single step can lead you astray, apart.

Arrogance and selfish pride are a snare,
From these, Man's troubles always flare.
Yet sons of the past, in every age,
Never turned on their kin with rage.

Those still from their mother’s milk,
Their minds unfit for the world's silk,
Were led astray by schemers’ guile,
Deceived by dreams, their hearts defiled.

With poison planted in youthful veins,
False hope burned bright, but left its stains.
By spells of cunning and twisted schemes,
They joined the ranks of wicked dreams.

Thus, the youth were lured away,
With tricks and lies, their minds did sway.
Severed from roots of ancestral pride,
They dug their graves with hands untied.

Now all is weighed by money's worth,
A world where wealth defines one's birth.
Banquets, casinos, and endless nights,
Betting halls glow with their gaudy lights.

Through bookmaker dens, both young and old,
Their steps unsteady, their dreams sold.
Losing fortunes in just one day,
Their broken spirits fade away.

Both young and old indulge in sinful play,
A dreadful illness in society today.
Some mothers, once protectors from harm,
Now lack even a mouse's instinctive charm.

Thinking only of selfish gain,
Compassion lost, their love profaned.
How can we call them "mothers," indeed,
When their own child they choose to impede?

My heart is heavy with endless despair,
Like a boat adrift on seas laid bare.
Cursing these deeds in my silent grief,
I condemn them before the court of belief!

Am I fitful,
fluctuating, fluid?
thin compass waver
as I jubilantly weave
lilac tree vignettes
that weep or chortle,
rainbow figment curtain
rashly wished upon
in grain smudge zephyr
garnet sand raw vehicle
garden common opal
transit sidestep
to a multiverse
of sappy fruit drip
net bag of niche
mauve rim canopy
a gilt ring culprit’s
flashpoint conjure
stirring taxi cabs
of lavish spurt
woolgathering
a gold rush stray
footslog must
have steel encased.
undulating folds
entangled nomad feint
dwarf yellow scorcher
firmament fatality
dash for straw hut
casita or elm
wood cabin where
advertence on
turnpikes, trails,
woven tracks lead
trajectory abuts
plod along dry path
dust bowl swirling as
they spurn allotments
meek enshrouded lull
with unalloyed poise
to jettison narcolepsy
brief embargo on
spiral plumule
when one’s physique
has many harrowing
gasps, taut breath
that intrinsic quest
for glistening cascade
seems an urgent
void, crushing
diapason rudderless
mahatma clement at
Arcadias nascent
totem of egress
yet charismatic
terminal flag
as this sentient
hypothesiser on
emerald tint bract
beneath hiking boot
unflinching
wild clasp at
beanpole verges
riven from
shade burst cockcrow
lure an impetus
to meandered pretext
primeval boon-docks
whilst tranquil flit
discommoding tawdry
pitch or tilt
gaunt endowment
I must brood on
surreal moiety
of cerebral aspect
squandered
rude reckoning aside
lapse into sullen
vacuum found across
a link whose blind
velvet crush lingers
query later doused
in vapour whirl gush
inkling thin veneer
sheeny beadlet
brow sapped
nod and falter
to a childhood turf
shelter for the limb
victim of grinding
marathon on marathon
to relish glow hue noons
hermetically abeyant
sempiternal eves
avenue to wanderer
fatigued yet still
in broad pursuit
of deep quiddity

Cat

One stormy night I heard a low meow sound. I searched the location of it around Sooner I identified the ground.
It was a cattle drinking water tub of round
I looked into the large water tub deeply. And I found a small black cat creepy. It struggled for its life completely I helped it to come out from the icy tub easily.
It made a purr sound loudly Branded me by its paw claws badly. And rushed into my house rashly Meandered here and there madly
It hid under a sofa silently I put a cup of milk before it cleverly. Gradually it came and drank the milk gallantly
Once again it went under the sofa quickly.
It made meows to seek my attention frequently
I was not sure why I loved the visible soul. It licked my face and wagged it's tail gleefully. Soon I became an ailurophilia easily.

Premium Member Bridged the Generations

I am a baby boomer, father fought in World War Two
As a teen graduated high school
Left home joined the service called branch Navy
Left joined in a conflict called Vietnam War
This day, today still don't know why we were fighting for
Now I'm old an elder man
\and I can tell all you young men, (something)
I'm a pathway of wisdom, history, knowledge have been to where you're going
As I continue to talk to you, you say I'm boring
You are trying to come where I am
you the man, and young woman children boys and girls
elder man bridges the generation
Of the stories that need to be seen and heard
Pathway of honor dawn, from places of my past
I can tell you things history is my are (it last)
Rather old past middle age later life elderly
1865 somewhat aged aging ancient geriatric long lived old older over the hill

Senescent senior un young a certain age this is what I say...
I'm a road way over depression I am a time a means spanning built over life
Young man time when I am
Youth haven't fully become an adult yet, period between childhood and maturity
What am (am) I gonna be now I can finally see the bridge the generations
Rashly existence between adolescence and maturity
Haven't been here on this earth long enough to see anything, not anything I go to the things of elders past
Bridges the generations
I now go to the elders for ally they know my future and my past
Nothing new under the sun
This is what they begun
Now I am an old an alderman and I can tell all the new young men
I'm a path way of winsome history knowledge and light
Pathway of honor drawn for this is right I can tell you his things
History his story is my age, the aged
Rather old past middle age later life elderly
Now I can finally see the bridge the generations

Once I shared a long hidden secret with the one,
I thought was my friend, through and through.
But little did I think it would hit back on me
Like a boomerang, breaking my heart.
She betrayed my trust with my reputation at stake.
Within days, it became a juicy gossip,
A fodder for many to ruminate and cud.
What was ‘whispered in the ear was shouted from roof tops’!
Behind my back, many used it against me.
With them, my secret became a sharp tool.
They used it at will to cut and bruise me.
I lost my sleep and reacted brashly.
It became a wound that began festering.
I longed for a release from my pent- up wrath.
I wondered if I could glue up the broken shards,
And become whole again, my former self.
It took a long time, to come out of the resentment.
But with the passing of time, the pain began to fade
And the heart once broken slowly started to mend
Not to have a repeat, decided to set my boundaries marked.

That bitter experience taught me some vital lessons,
Which I won't ever forget in life.
My hindsight told me that I should change,
In some areas where I am most vulnerable.
Learned the hard way to be more cautious
To guard my secrets and never spill the beans!
Also not to venture to be all open before others.
Never again shall I struggle to fit in
With a loose tongue, in any company
Just to entertain others with frivolous talks!
I am also careful not to rashly blurt out my feelings.
How I wish to become more prudent and discerning
In choosing friends and trusting them!
I also resolve to always keep my calm,
Even when I know my words are misinterpreted.
Looking back on all that has happened in life,
I don't think I have many regrets.
All my experiences, good or bad have been signposts,
That led me to where I am and who I am today.

Still there are some things I wish I hadn’t said at all.

Space Sonnets 2

Space Sonnets

Sonnet 5
    Time Machine
I ever wonder of this machine
If it be invented with sheen
If done who will own Gosh
Keeping it plush and posh
Will it take to systems afar
Is its door locked or ajar
Will it work on any thesis
On my gran’s E-mc2 basis
Will it take to our past
And show our future vast
I would like to go the time
Of WW1 and 2 super fine
Why London was on fire?
I try stop it using all wire..!!

Sonnet 6
       Black hole
Ever intriguing is this hole
Let me sum up on the whole
Enigmatic region in space-time
Strong form of gravity rhyme
None can excape from it
For it controls even the heat
If enters anybody by mistake
Then his life is at super stake
It is like a labyrinth confusing
Though for us a stuff amusing
I doubt all the celestial weapons
Are in this hole secure unopen
The one who penetrates through
Will be a space traveller true..!!

Sonnet 7
      Light Year
My measure to fathom
The light travel in annum
Soon I be equipped to
Spaceplore not return to
For my earth is a dust bin
The reason of my all din
Many light years I travel
With an awesome marvel
Thus making all predictions
Of my possible explorations
Would like to gush
From my space capsule Hush..!
To unravel the celestial enigma
To make my planet free of stigma..!

Sonnet 8
      Men Are from Mars
Earthen qualities in full throttle
Martian virtues of war and battle
Can perform only one thing once
Unlike the species from Venus
Multitasking becomes a hurdle
For man from the Mars spatial
Gallant in character and nature
Sturdy in structure and stature
Alien from the counter gender
Still coexists donning harder
Always humiliated harshly
By the Venusian rashly
Bears tantrums during the role
Of being a progenitor sole..!!

Mirage

I had a dream
I was lost in the desert
I saw your face within the sand dunes
I ran to you, carrying my sorrow
Hope was filling my bones
Tears were watering the drought of my emotions
I was standing beside you
But you were a mirage
And I was all alone once again
That’s when my eyes started to hit my cheeks with guilt
My depth burnt with the words you blazed
Blaming me wasn’t enough
So you woke up my trauma
Now I'm living with that fear
Of losing my hope someday
Even though it’s already gone
So far away
Still I need to hear your soul
Tell me you crave for my love
Say you do
Tell me you care, clamor it loudly to the crowd
Look me in the eye
Say you need me closer
Tell me we won’t die
And when it gets harder
We’ll make it easier
Please tell me why my heart’s still invisible
You walked nearby
It called you, you didn’t hear
So it cuddled you, but you couldn’t feel
Rashly, you pushed it, it fell
You crushed it, you didn’t even notice
You kept moving and it didn’t dare to grumble
Was it a dream or I’m denying this reality
My love, is it true
I heard that you came across your euphoria
Somehow you got helped
You got what you deserve
Those emotions I couldn’t serve
When you were crawling apart
Now I'm feeling so numb
My soul is nowhere to be found
I'm chasing your shadow
But it keeps fluttering into the wild murky yonder
I need your light in the night
To rewind those memories we’ve made
When our hearts were hard to separate
Because darling, I don’t plan to live forever
If we aren’t graying together
And if missing you is a felony
Then I declare myself a perfect sinner
For loving you with hunger
Waiting for you on fire
Knowing that you will never come back to my cavern
Where I’m mummified with guilt and so much regret

Unceremonious Ceremony

UNCEREMONIOUS CEREMONY

Will weaponized with wounded words,
Purpose unbound against all odds.
She shades shame showing sheer strength
in the face of a situation of "Life & Death".
Eyes heated and heart blotted rashly,
He's hunted, his hands harmonised hastily
So tired & soul-tied, settling for life,
even when he isn't looking for a wife.
Of his escapades, she has had enough.
Although no Blessing and no Love.

Welcome to the unceremonious ceremony,
Only a Contract named "Matrimony"
And a forced vow delivered under duress
Both couples with solo breaths — ominous.
In this ceremonial circus, he plays no cupid,
In playing her character, she acts stupid.
He never inclined to woo her,
In her man's world, she's the ruler.
Life advances for a grand finale,
despite running from Malawi to Mali,
tainted destiny still pushed Him to Natalie,
the one that he sexually eschews
But mentally and physically refuse.
Thus with mutiny in his mind
He's to marry & leave freedom behind

Forced to marry, and responsibility to carry,
The gun to his head makes his eyes starry
Cos those bullets are too close to parry.
She is a lover ready to hold him bound.
But she makes his young heart pound,

She is played, used but won't be dumped
This wedding won't be delayed but prompt
He's the bull that keeps bashing all the ladies,
And riding through & through each stages
So she took the bull by the horn
And humble the fool with her gun.
Bullevard couldn't take a hike
because he knows Natalie will strike.
She was bound to getting him to sign,
He was bound to her, never to cross the line.
