one in twain yet marked on a blotted page clearly intact through the surface
crimes of passion stirring inside my brutal egg shelled head summon the dead
each of us goes through things another door bell tends to ring fat lady sings you see
Misery is coming apart at the seams the refrigerator is empty we are living on ample time
Cherish those days we used to frolic in a haze like a mouse stuck in its maze so behave
these are desolate times yet we settle for ill but faded rhymes the casualties are enormous
for a stated cause that's just plain atrocious there's a thrill in us all stand up ten feet all
Give me shelter give me peace stand in its relief head down to my feet stand to repeat
Is it safe to say that their is a way leave this cup of poison learn to rejoice in some dream
Cry me a river stand and deliver yet donn't call me late for dinner I'm still a giver
lines being drawn in the sand when to fully understand you can't keep sticking it to the man
Each human heart there's an opened door willing to be explored awe so much more
Look to the orphans and widows in their affliction go to a soup kitchen stand forgiving
There's so much we can do if we put our mind to it there's nothing to it Pharoah blew it
listen before you speak stand tall and teach grow fondly in the notion of grace
Spread out upon my Peyton Place long for a mistake to seal our fate just have to wait
We have fallen on tough times someone needs to break the mends it all depends
lay hold of your brother give them love to discover set in order fond memories
mix up the human chemistry choose instead to reach toward your dynasty nothing phony
got words that rhyme that words to heal someone said its no big deal but who are they
One day at a time sweet Jesus everybody needs us time is going by faster blaster
Remember the old boom box boogy down with the socks like the famed Scott Lerock
we shall stand on top never the bottom like the lonely days of Sodom keep your hats on
like Lynn Swan can't we ever get along and this is the end of this song
Peyton, a thirteen year old boy
Looks on, pose for a photo;
He’s in for a test with sound health
Going to rejoin school
After long break for crucial treatment
And awesome wait
After the heart transplant;
He looks like a young man of thirty
Peyton, a boy from Ohio near Cincinnati;
Pure in heart, courageous and innocent,
Enters the waiting car for school
And at this all take heart.
But in about two hours
A fresh bud droops lifeless
In spite of all medical aids!
Suffering from birth
Without ever tasting good health really
Without reaching the school afresh
Peyton leaves the earth ever unready!
Born with a heart impaired
He had undergone many surgeries
Remained always under medication
Yet never losing his heart,
He was titled “Warrior Heart!”
In spite of steering life in alert
He always remained joyous
In spite of huge health hazards
Over the years;
He often cracked jokes and played
If not in a hospital or sick-bed then.
Dying he didn’t die till Derek de facto died in accident
.To donate his heart as arranged by his parents
After his death;
Derek relived with his heart;
Peyton’s heart lived while he was gone.
Was it not a great irony of fate
That when he seemed to regain health
His heart would sink
Denying the faith of the optimist?
Could the boy ever know in the heart of his hearts,
Refreshed as he was with a new heart
That the indwelling spirit would reject
The gift transplanted?
With a child’s innocence
He must have failed to guess
The severity of the design
Of the indwelling spirit.
Courage, patience, perseverance and joyousness
Which the boy had exhibited throughout his life
Proves that he was watched
And helped by some angel
Throughout his life’s journey.
An Indian would perceive it
The result of Karma of earlier lives
A short cut route to reach the goal
As for him the Divine designed.
Oh the jewel of a son divine designed!
Suffering yet enjoying life
You taught us how to suffer
And yet win over it.
When I looked into your eyes I knew you were the one
Love was the essence of my mere existence
Those walks in the park all alone
We were both holding are own
Sweet kisses and the poems would flow
Yet in a vision you take me away to a beautiful place
Where kings and queens hold there own in the scene
I used to dream of far off places certain traces
You were always there in my arms
Your eyes would twinkle in the sun having fun
Now all the years have passed having every reason to grasp
The truest love that I ever knew
Perhaps I have bitten off far more then I could chew
Together forever no matter what the weather
When I go to a show or a club you will be by my side
Friends that want to run away to hide
Many as of late watch as things slide
No you are the woman that I adore
love in the purest taste not some Peyton Place
we have come this far not to turn back now
can't turn around when my hands on the plow
sugar is sweet so sweet like honey
I'm going to be the man that takes home the money
Nothing phoney just you & I
listening to music that sets us free from the likes of Stevie B
Lavert & Kenny G taking our love to places that see
Not to mention Al Green man all those people would scream
Luther Vandross & Barry White taking us through the night
man they don't make music like they used to
at last the latest trend was a Rooster
Girl I'm going to take you higher then ever before
lest I implore another open door
you will see in time we shall shine
she dances on a ring of fire yet throws off its challenge with a shrug
folks today sweep old school underneath the rug
But I got to keep it real where others insist being no big deal
Your the one for me the woman I adore
I dedicate my life to you always until the end my baby & love
there's a song in my heart that needs to be sung in union with friends a bit combersome
fallen angelic creatures with vast different features create a whole inside
flirting with fire blowing it up to its fullest of desire
the life of a clown is lonely at times hidden below a window exposed
to the very notion of solace screened in like a bend of a fold
each day is a new way to make children happy to see
make up just a touch to much can be costly in the game
yet deep inside they often hide behind a false hidden garb of compromise twisted lies
Barnum Bally is no more yet they shiver in the wind waiting to begin again
flowers, props & shoes
often will sing their Sunday best blues in nursery homes enjoyed by the elderly
to get even one more last laugh behind life's squeeky wheel for some no big deal
yet at night when folks do fright the clown cry's a box full of tears to calm all fears
doorways latched with a hammock a cat attached to the swing pulls it along with song
at each venture the clown will become less combersome to this world
a choice to eat out at Mickey D's with a Happy meal loving Ronald as a mascot of some sort
other clowns reside in a high appeal of life with its glitz and toys
Each must face their fate among a Peyton Place some may urinate in the hallway
some clowns turn to vice with booze to take away there inner pain let me explain:
Clowns are people each one of us you see in the great scheme of the circus called life
we worry let out the jury running to then fro in a hurry some even change to story
Clowns are humans after all every single one of us
heavy burdens are gone lifted up when a clown is around
there can be no exception for the real tender clown in you
perhaps i have bitten off far more then I could ever chew
Elephant shoes
The escape commenced.
The endless drive from middleclass suburbia
ala Levittown; across hill and dale,
packed in a 1947 black beauty
of a Lincoln Continental; to the land of Peyton Place
and Steven King; Maine.
Lemon up and tangerine down, Dad drives.
We wiggle and whine, Mom scolds.
A leg cramping journey made longer by
one too many pee brakes.
The dirt road pinged rocks of the chrome bumper;
we near the amorphous clapboard dream.
The violet light of the dash shows nine o’clock.
The ramshackle ashen white farmhouse
full of kissin cousins, cows and chickens;
Madonna’s home. Uncle Ken a mere decorative necessity;
Uncle ken who could charm the pants right off ya,
and obviously had, voila; cousins Georgie and Wayne.
Uncle Ken of the sweet smile and Chiclet teeth;
beer bottle in hand with his concrete company hat cocked to the side;
one long, tall, strawberry blonde, drink of water.
He was a God to us, two little girls, Snow White and Rose Red.
His only rival his son, gorgeous George;
Georgie boy, first cousin, first love.
Nights saw us hunker down under patch work.
Kissin cousins in twinned rooms.
Meeting for body heat in the frosted dawn
in a single wrought iron bed, scrawny eight year olds.
Heads under quilts breathing in and out to warm the pocket of air
we were the only heat on the second floor. With a mighty dash;
reminiscent of our favorite mouse [Mighty]
a charge was launched across the unfinished attic
to the backstairs to country kitchen.
Barefeet dodge raised square nails and splinters.
Bark bits impress frozen soles, as the stove's in house woodpile is jumped.
Twin dynamos skate across the linoleum to a copper kettle's whistle.
A white Windsor landing achieved, Aunt Madonna pours
cornflakes in porcelain white china bowls with a laugh.
My dearest husband,

Spin Master
Check one on the mic I'm about to bite
a victim of race spread out your Peyton place
let me take you down to the hood
this is where you get the real lessons in life
Hustlers pimping their rides
bitches screaming cause their fix is dreaming
the place where you get the good blow
I should have come here years ago
out of its silence its a game of violence
guns being drawn out in your face
for some its a social disgrace
still you can learn about how true rap pops
boogy down to your socks just like Scott Lerock
its their you will sift through the latest trends
such as Fetty Wap blowing up the scene
then their are those people who are very mean
the streets can either make you or break you
For me I'm a spin master in my social disaster
Breaking down rhymes in my frying pan
Sticking up for the one's who say," Yes We Can"
Instead of keep sticking it to the man with the plan
You need a heart that's filled with gold
So you will do what you are told until the very rights to you are sold
It's like a jungle sometimes but it makes me wonder
blasting out tracks like Stevie Wonder
your a bundle of joy out holding your own
paying the bills cheap thrills in the back of the car
Learn from your mistakes son & it will make you go far
Only one life is soon to be done only what's done out of love will last
Nobody get a free pass we all have free will
Rap is for winners turning sinners to saints
turning hate to love from the warm hand up above
so keep your dope joint clean if you know what I mean
a winner is just another loser that falls down but gets up & gives it one last try...
The Show Must Go On
Each of us is like a puppet as God above pulls the strings
A heart that needs to have a touch of love sent from heaven up above
The show must go on so the poets have claimed
We all should join each other by linking hands as in a chain
When the going get tough the tough get going
Were all in a test I must confess the hero does their best
Sadness fills the eyes of a very lonesome passerby
The show must go on with hearts that are bleeding in the night
A hunt for red October to help to never give up on the fight
To stay ahead of the game one might turn into the mentally insane
Still we press toward the mark of hitting are higher calling
Shout out to your neighbor were never given a second chance to repeat
Scattered clouds amidst the blue horizon amidst the doom & gloom
We are left hear out in the fields in search of are daily bread
A tug at the heart shall light the inner spark to what we are waiting for
Amidst the bitter turmoil that people have created lust in place of love
The show must go on in are Peyton place without having any regrets
There is a hero in us all there no use looking back when your hand is on the plough,
A blade of green grass plush & so sirene falling on it's soft shade of dew
With a whole host of angels cheering us on we must proceed in the song
Never relent to give in until you have reached your final destination
For love has gained it also has lost humanities greatest of cost
A pearl of great price awaits the goal for all souls that have faith & believe

Dear Carolyn:
Another letter from another tour
In this place in the sand they call Helmand
This will be my last, for you can be sure
To never look back on these Afghan lands
Dear James:
It's been so long since I've felt your embrace
Studied the constellations through your eyes
Found joy in the manly features of your face
Or recovered from our last sad goodbyes
Dear Carolyn:
Another two lost, one was my best friend
Before it's me, I pray my leave is soon
My heart is crying out, my hopes descend
Is tomorrow my day, in deathly strewn
Dear James:
I've been praying so hard; surely you're safe
The son I carry will have his Dad's smile
I don't think God would orphan our young waif
You must walk through our door in a short while
Dear Carolyn:
The joy in your letter, mother to be
Me a father, soon to be homeward bound
Grow with my kin in the land of the free
To thrive in peace on American ground
Dear James:
I think our boy will be a football star
Perhaps he’s sending a message to Dad
Like Peyton and Eli he’s thrusting hard
To have you and him here, I’ll be so glad
Dear Carolyn:
As James was preparing to say goodbye
Boarding the chopper to take him your way
Enemy aircraft dropped bombs from the sky
I regret to say this was James’ last day

Jim 1
Divorced from the outside world as if you have never heard
changes in the back of my head egg shelled in design & form
some may insist on cursing the very day they were born
Dionysus was intigued with flames that arose by a sleeve
Orion can be seen on a clear night within temples of fire
the flame arose though soft and tender too soon to render
theatre in the round where Friedrich Nietzsche taught about philosphical concepts
today as one plays an Ovation its conclaves are draped in magnificence
a sudden twist for Nietzsche yet in the end pumps out fear from a friend
tender with a warm sunset loosed to further its innate brevity
got to stay ahead of me in sudden grace sread out upon one's Peyton Place
we make friends then break plans to we give up it all depend
U.C.L.A. film school was Jim is everybody in
to the restless heart needing to be tamed by tough love under the covers
the shallow scream of lovers torn up but yet next to one another
breath deep the night is far spent in sight
we have created this dream out of ruined pillars lost in conclave's mere twilight
waiting for the next episode an explosion in my mind
the brigade of false minature soldiers in the dirt war battle
Does death hurt you the most or is it fear
shape dreams through your hair my pretty child choose the day the night is far spent
cover me with your tender love along ghost highways bleeding
branch out your arms to share a requisite moment in a time well spent in thought
the after glow
