Dear Dr Diagnosis

Dear Dr Diagnosis,

Thank you for your concern and attempt to put me back together.
It isn't that I am unappreciative of your labors in fact I've rather enjoyed our talks, though sometimes they were quite painful.I concluded it was necessary to show you the depth of my pain, so that you might prescribe the proper mind fogging medications.I must say that your advice of "setting aside days to worry" and to just tell myself "it is what it is" were thought provoking. It took several weeks of contemplation to wrap my mind around the concepts and even longer to put them into practice.Although they have yet to bare fruitful as useful coping tools, I do hope that someday they will.

I also hope you are not to disappointed in not being able to fix me, it isn't your fault. You see I already know what has caused me to become broken, I have always known. The days the places the times are all etched very clearly in my mind along with the emotional turmoil associated with them.Without the additional help of a Time Machine to go back and steer myself away from the event's, they cannot be undone. So you must tell yourself "It is what it is" and perhaps schedule next Tuesday as your day to "worry about it".

I will give you just a bit of advice from personal experience and return the favor;
Abstaining from self medication with drugs and alcohol will greatly reduce future events to feel remorseful for. Keeping yourself busy and maybe becoming a bit OCD-ish will help you not to think of your painful memories. Embracing life and finding beauty where most fail to see it will increase your chances for happiness. And most of all forgive yourself for allowing others to give you these painful memories. It is part of having Empathy, Trust and being a Good Human.

Sincerely
Your Textbook Labeled and Diagnosed Patient

Premium Member Stone Keepsakes

Love lingers, in the objects of stone left behind,
holding pleasing recollections of welcome footfalls;
the painful memories, most, spent of love declined.

Those last few months of harborless shores, the squalls
fade, as I gaze on the jade keeper left bedside,
holding pleasing recollections of welcome footfalls.

The blade of horn, carved with love's protection, bides.
An owl of stone my guardian makes nightmares
fade, as I gaze on the jade keeper left bedside,

I have keys given me in faith, your love declared.
Though trust given, never was withdrawn, never died.
An owl of stone my guardian makes nightmares

fade, and over gold-amber earrings; I still cry.
Yes, you are goodly gone, and that I truly know;
though trust given never was withdrawn, never died.

Happy times of kisses warm, of love bestowed,
love lingers, in the objects of stone left behind.
Yes, you are goodly gone and that I truly know,
the painful memories, most, spent of love declined.

Life, a meandering river ~
                                     Not all pebbles are shiny!
the humming sonata of a melodious stream
tranquil dreams...until the current becomes fast,
                                and the journey becomes arduous!

Life ~ full of possibilities, dreams infinite...
affection, romantic love, close relationships -
                                              peace ~ our goal

                                          painful memories -
                               loss, longing, death, heartbreak...
                                        every day a challenge!

An incense burns to exude aroma until only the ash remains...
A candle glows, and melts leaving tiny pearls...
Flowers droop and lose their lustre,
Rivers flow with curves and bends,
from high mountaintops through plains and valleys,
                                       to reach ultimate love.

                                            Dreams don’t wilt....
But Happiness fades away before we know it!

Premium Member November

The leaves near gone as branches become bare, the emptiness sets in
November is the season of death, where one feels the coldness within

Time of reflections; of your past that goes back to your childhood days
How it all played out & the lessons learned, and the wisdom it conveys

Where they can learn to heal, or decide to stay damaged, and distorted
Pity those who went on with their anguish ignored and as unsupported

Who grew to inflict their pain onto others and blame them to the cause
Not allowing the seasons to stop for death or rebirth, there is no pause

As those who allow November to stay embedded forever in their hearts
Fail not only themselves, when from their heart the pain fails to imparts

Scarring those around you with your wounds that are not theirs to share
As the lean branches remind us however bleak they will not remain bare

That they stand their loss with strength, as with reliance of a new spring
And a flurry of new leaves descend upon us as to each branch they cling

Till then November bares our souls to the winter to toughen our growth
Teaching us to bear all our hurts and pains whilst to all others we expose

That death; can only bring with it a coldness that everyone has to endure
A emptiness of abundance' that only the other seasons will on us ensure

November; being the start of the colder months that are still yet to come
Where one holds out their painful emotions, until they are all about done

Painful memories that are frozen in time lessen as the new spring arrives
As the new leaf buds push on through, & that old winter then on us dies

Harbour; not old resentments that only endeavour to mar your wellbeing
Ignoring those who are no more than just resentful of you ever achieving

Who took their own failures out on you, expecting you to carry their cross
And as for every time you carried their cross, it was you that paid the cost

Premium Member My Dream Within A Dream

“Dreams, comforting at times, bring to life those we’ve lost or yearn for. “ Quote by poet

Stretching across the bright heavens,
The sun's beams of many
Colors paint the radiant sky.
Softly meeting the horizon,
Leaves of the most burning ember
And pink cherry blossom,
On Autumn trees, pepper our path.
A Kiss of warmth sways our gay play.

We hover, veiled above the grass.
None living, round the orchid blooms.
Woven love swirling quietly
About promising fields,
As it webs perfectly upon
Our longing heart and soul.
A yawn of clouds, peace together
Gone, only to waken alone.

Lost to a dream I wished was in.
Shadows gather into countless
Piece of kaleidoscope shard glass.
Know my eyes fill with tears.
A crunch white-page heartfelt aching.
Awaken to silence, alone,
In a sweat to a wilting mass
Of nothingness and space
Of elapsed painful memories.

In the beginning there was only concrete.
And we loved it for its concreteness
Since it was all we had.
And then there were roads on the concrete
And with them we wished for sweaters
And cell phones
And painful memories
And sins for the washing away
And love in quick, fast boxes
And chocolate with cool, white ice cream
And hot, mind-peeling tears.
And we want all this,
Forever and forming.
Everlastingly we blink and carry on.
Our only unwashed stone of thought
The first slab of concrete
We prized like an early morning baby.
For this is all we had.
And all we had to feel thankful.

Legacy's Statute of Limitation

My life contains painful memories,
failures, sickness, deaths, and fears.
understand, life comes from God's hand -
bad things work to my good through the years.

I've also had great recollections,
happy childhood, marriage, work.
Life comes from God's hand, I understand
my good health and the land of my birth.

Being designed to do special tasks -
my talents to help, to teach.
I understand, life comes from God's hand;
and there are goals that I may not reach.

Amid the war and peace, self-control
enables me to rejoice.
Life comes from God's hand, I understand
distrust and doubt with faith and free choice.

I celebrate what's put on my plate
knowing forgiveness and grace.
I understand life comes from God’s hand
The mercy of God’s love I embrace.

My assets and liabilities
The bound’ry lines have been scored.
Life comes from God’s hand, I understand
the legacy's received from my Lord.

Love of Nature

Love of Nature
Jatin Gauttam
28 July, 2015

Those times we sat facing the west,
A sight fascinates me at its best,
Wise Sun lowering down the glances,
it became a souvenier, that Red Sunset..
Sunset brought all end to hard work,
where the life of dark gestures, unrest..

That smell in the air, flowing through out the town,
In rainy days, I must not be the only one to feel..
The shiny drazzles always seemed so keen to bound..
But felt like we're actually free, naked and no peel...
Howlin' winds or breezes, which made it perfect to be..
that its the love of nature, one love nobody can oversee..

We had trips that were meant to terminate all pains, all sorrows..
Oak, oh those majestic oaks became good ears to share...
To share all our secrets and painful memories, we'd brought..
They never complained, welcomed us like they do care...
Only then I could become the person, I always wanted to be..
And Majestic Oak would always be there, welcoming me...
Shaking its leaves...

Along with all those heartful moments,
everyone has their own share to breathe..
But they have always had someone to share their memories with..
The quietness of night, The blue sky sight...
The howling wind, or the sights that bind...
The crops in the farms, the sunflowers that glee...
The smell of the wet soil, and that drazzling breeze..
I've had my time with those, but always remember how'd it be..
That its the love of nature, One Love nobody can oversee..

Premium Member Shutting the Door of My Heart

I’m shutting the door of my heart
To give myself time to heal
I’m entering into silence
I'm numbing myself not to feel

I’m going to stoke the fire
And throw painful memories in
I’m going sit and watch them burn
For what you’ve done to me is sin

I’m going to purge my heart of you
Use the strongest lock on the door
I’m going to survive and move on
Won’t accept the hurt any more

I’m going to wrap myself in beauty
Will burn incense to the Divine
I’ll pray for the needed wisdom
To bring grace to this heart of mine

I’m going to have a good cry
Unleash the torrent of pain
I’ll wait for cleansing to start
Be purified by salty rain

I’m going to learn the hard lesson
To never mean words that I say
I’ll be my heart and soul’s sentinel
Guarding the entrance night and day

Yes, I am closing my heart’s door
You've demolished and torn the place
I’m going to trash reminders
That make me envision your face

I’m going to make this a fortress
A haven from the storm without
I’m going to make the walls sound proof
So I can rant and rave and shout

I’m going to endure withdrawal
Live through this madness and pain
I’m going to reclaim my life
I’m going to be well and sane

I'm shutting the door of my heart
But the window's open, you see
How I hope that you will climb in
And make passionate love to me

Premium Member Old Soldiers' Reunion

They landed on Normandy's beach and struggled all thro' France.
To regain freedom for all peoples, they took a noble stance.
Sixty years had passed, now this brave and worthy band of brothers,
Gathered from far and near to regale and reminisce with others.

The young lads quickly lost their youth in the dreadful strife,
Experiencing things that would forever change their life.
Some are paunchier now and wear a crown of silver hair.
Alas, many shuffle about with cane, others in wheeled chair.

Sadly, when the roll was called, fewer answered, "Here!"
They recall those missing from formation and shed a rueful tear.
The old First Sergeant who called the roll even shed some tears.
My! How he has mellowed, they mused, thro' the intervening years!

All was not doom and gloom as they dined and made their toasts,
Recalling funny and painful memories from various Army posts.
Their spouses beamed with pleasure to see their men unwind,
In fellowship with comrades, putting bitter memories out of mind.

The sang, "We'll Meet Again, Don't Know Where, Don't Know When,"
Held each others hands and with misty eyes sang, "Til We Meet Again."
Time inexorably marches on and death doth takes its toll.
Alas, how many will be absent at the next calling of the roll?
