Follow me, my dear, to mythical shores of hypnotic dream,
Sail on my fantasies, driving passions of your zealous theme,
Afloat on tides of longing, musing on love’s passionate seas,
Vying paradise of bliss, propelling desires love-notions seize,
Savoring you in embrace romantic, ecstatic till the end of time,
Extolling life’s moments euphoric, alluring our love in prime.
As gilded smile of rising sun, sparkles gleaming skyline blue,
And ruby rays of dawn twinkle from glinting morning dew,
And meadows of spring-blossoms enthrall your fervid view,
And songs of our doting hearts, strumming love-tunes woo;
Cherishing memories enamored, forever vows we renew,
In Elysium of happiness, fate designed just for me and you.
Follow me, out of bleakness that questions meaning of life,
Follow me to enlightenment that negates angst of strife,
Follow me afar from the void of materiality, ego, and pride,
Follow me to the realms, that wisdom and virtues abide,
Follow me to self-awareness, questing halo of inner light,
Follow me on path to eternity, within walls of this life finite.
you might no be rich or own a fancy car
you might live from hand to fist saving pennies in a jar
but the most important thing that you could ever possess
is to be an adopted child of God and for your testimony to progress
today's society is stuck on the basest of notions
that wealth and possessions deserve some type of devotion
yet you can't take it with you when your final hour comes
only the state of your soul and your salvation will determine
if you are a blessed one
money can't buy God's favor
and heaven does not hold out for the highest bidder
God only asks that you believe in Him
and repent from being a sinner
so it does not matter all that much if you don't have great wealth
God won't give you too many burdens
all He wants is your happiness and health
just study on the Holy Scriptures
and trust in God to guide you
remember His Son Jesus was poor as well
but God always found a way to get Him through
PATTERN BALDNESS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stu the squirrel looked in the mirror with a fright.
“Oh no! My fur’s vanishing! What a horrible sight.”
What’s become of my ‘furdo?'
Maybe fur I can put on with glue.
OOPS! That doesn’t look right! Dastardly plight!”
He tugged at his thinning tufts with despair,
"Is this really the fate I must bear?
Squirrel pattern baldness,” they say,
“Runs deep in my crew’s way,
But I’d rather have fluffy brown hair!"
So Stu bought himself a furry, brown cap
But alas, looked as if he was wearing burlap.
Discarded it with a single motion
Giving up his silly notions.
Smiling, he admitted, “I’m still a charming chap.”
While looking for Elvis
Met Nessie in Loch Ness
Hoarding a leprechauns pot of gold
While getting ready to depart
I tripped over the Lost Ark
In the baggage of a hitchhiking Pharaoh
Thought I had got lost in flight
Stumble into Camelot at night
King Arthur shooting Robin Hood's arrows
Little green men from Mars
Battling a dragon with bumper cars
Jumping on my unicorn I rode
Diving into the Ocean
The mermaids gave me notions
My search for Elvis was getting cold
Swam down to Atlantis in the Atlantic
Dine at Poseidon's banquet
He had a big Roman nose
Cruising the Devil's Triangle
Being careful for any angle
I try to assassinate Castro
No money for the Florida toll booth
I wander into the Flountain of Youth
I look much younger so I'm told
On my way to Colorado
I kiss the Indian Princess of El Dorado
They can keep their entire treasure load
I saw Jimmy Hoffa eating a hot dog
While sitting with Big Foot on a redwood log
They were both getting pretty old
Went over to Memphis
Back through Las Vegas
My search for Elvis was about to fold
Than an angel named Gabriel
Told me about the new guy down at the stable
So I flew off to Shangri-la with pilot Joe
Our wings iced without warning
Damn this damn Global warming
Flying over Santa and a Chinese Viking Eskimo
We crashed landed in Xanadu
Met a few people we both knew
But Elvis left so I was told
With my new friend Yeti
We shared a big bowl of spaghetti
Amelia Earhart cooked and sold
Round the Garden of Eden
I traded an apple for freedom
From the lost tribes of Isreal though
On Mount Olympus I heard singing
The voice of Elvis reigning
I found the King of Rock and Roll
We ate a fried banana peanut butter sandwich
Elvis offer me the last bite of his sandwich
I politely refused I couldn't be so bold
Before I could ask Elvis as such
He rose and said "Thank you very much"
The answers I needed were put on hold
"Beam me up Scottie" he quipped
Than in a flash he was on the Mother Ship
And I turn and saw my friend little Moe
Area 51 is where that saucer came from
In Noah's Ark we drank wine and hard rum
Finding Elvis I am no hero
Looking for Elvis is half the fun
Its the trip that ends where it begun
Down in Dallas on a grassy knoll
Blunt brain such stale dogma holds
Tighter than crags hug dewy molds;
She spurns sparks Reason confers,
And terms sanest wit profitless fuss.
Sweetest rank her outmoded views,
Above strictest sense and full clues;
Cherished most within inured cloud
Are her trite thought frail and proud.
Proffer sure-shining cachings of gold
For faintest morsel of heresies retold,
And she'll a more precious jewel find
Brighter still under Diablo's airier rind.
Her creed says receive and cede not
Wild bootless notions simpletons got;
Let benevolent Logic his carats keep,
And her inane whims have their leap.
Her wild treasures heavier than lead
Shall endless grace that jaded head,
Until wilier ticks of blind-mute clocks
Hit Eternal Proof that sees and talks.
Her name was Ethel....(yes, like the gasoline)
She smelled of menthol...(much like Vick's Vaseline)
A long time neighbor, from down the lane
She was married twice...(or was it thrice?)...
A widowed lady, we knew her well
A bit disgruntled, and a bit dismantled
A bit unusual.....a bit disturbed
and most the time, seemed quite perturbed!!
And as a kid....of her, I feared!
So scared of her that when she came .....Holy Moly, off I'd run!
And hide away..........'til she was gone!
She was a mix of ice.....a tad of nice....
But my mother trusted her sage advice
She had a cure for most everything....some seemed rather sensible
Some quite extreme!!!
The worst indeed..............(Please excuse my dilemma!)
She believed in the (OMG!!) THE ENEMA!!
(Well....now you can see .....just why I hid!!)
And castor oil..............gahhhhhh.......how disgusting!!
Should only be used when parts are rusting!!!!!!
And an old rag wrapped and rubbed on your wart
Then into a hole.....dug out by the fort....
Yep!! Now, why would a dishrag buried in the yard
Could have such power to rid.................................A WART??
Ridiculous notions....all of her potions......but...
Golly, Gee Whiz! , I'll have to say...
That I've been wart free.........since buried rag days!!
Oh, Miss Ethel..............perhaps you were weird....
but you would fix a mother's fears...
Could you still fix-up all my own....
all of my fears....after all these years?
Just NO MORE ENEMAS!!! Please Miss Ethel.....
Oh !! my dear !!
It is the nature of man to pursue
And woman’s to be pursued
Man must do the wooing
And woman must be wooed
It is the nature of man to conquer
And woman to play it coy
He must be the strong one
She must act like his toy
It is the nature of man to explore
And woman’s to be sedate
He must push the limits
She must make him wait
Ah...woman, you are to hold back
And make him beg for more
You must keep yourself aloof
And just hint at what’s in store
You must give a only a portion
To keep him from discontent
Must be sparing with your love
To make his jealousy hell bent
For it is the nature of man to chase
And woman to lend to the chase
But learn this from me, angel
These notions are vile and base
For if your man has such a nature
And slights your consuming love
Don’t waste on him your passion
Escape on wings of a dove
For love knows no rules or decorum
It will do what it may please
So do what you fancy best
Be assertive when you tease
For know that when the day‘s done
And you are lying in bed alone
You must be true to yourself
Strip “Nature” down to the bone.
Obey the voice of your heart, love
Don’t fall prey to “nature’s” game
Be a woman of these times
And put these silly rules to shame!
ACCEPT YOUR STUPID
Accept Your Stupid
Getting to know your
Stupidity means admitting
what you think you know
is not working for you.
When you realize this:
Then, and only then
will you be able to;
Embrace positive change.
As you search for the truth
more will be made plain.
But when you think you know?
all that you think you know
"think again"!
Go to the other side of
what you know
and find out what really is.!
Grab these revelations
with both hands, do not
hold on to any parts
of the stupid notions
that have kept you for so long
"stuck on stupid"
Or in a stubborn stupor.
You may somehow miss stupidity.
Like you would a reoccurring tooth-ache,
at first predicting, yet not wanting,
it's a painful throbbing to return.
Once you've been
assured that the unwanted
"stupid" is gone;
Continue your path of
gratitude and growing.
Delight in your newfound
wisdom and understanding.
Seek divine knowledge until
you've reached the crypt;
Know your strongholds.
Acknowledge your gifts;
Ask to be lifted to the pinnacle of wisdom;
And of right spirit, and discernment.
Side-step negative forces, and
never again be the orchestrator of them.
Refrain from hoarding the seeds of truth,
Instead, plant truth seeds, unsparingly,
in the fertile gardens of the willing.
The mind has a fullness of thoughts
that brings some words to one's mind
this needs engagement of these two
so merging a marriage of a loving kind
One's mind is an awesome thing
there come our thoughts to bank upon
using these notions to fill your ink
stroking your nib before it's dawn
Using one's inner strength for good
projecting the mind for expression
learn well to practise words to use
holding firm any engrained tension
Use well the wisdom one has
to draw lines positively to rhyme
as well as other poetic types
whatever it takes tp poetically climb
Spreading your words way on high
it's within you to forge out your way
so that others spot your undoubted gift
provide support by your pen today!
Only few vague notions remain.
Resource lowering has emerged.
Poverty and shame endure strain.
Money and action have diverged.
They shackled him with sharp pebbles.
False idols' rage will not be tamed.
Justice can be served, he chisels.
Though with a spirit that's untamed.
I cede safety pins for deep breadth.
Bleed on the rough stones as I move.
Preparedness is worse than death.
Sheer struggle in vain; I chose prove.
The jagged bores of shrub and gorse.
Slumbering softly down their track.
Unyielding uphill this steep source.
The birds chirp and echo ducks quack.
No skin, bear on shreds of mercy.
Our cells used to make a new death.
Keep your bliss, won't bite agony.
Go for different god and breadth.
I'll scale this hard peak until dusk.
Enjoy summer's beauty and clean air.
The wind will take the dusk luck.
Free of jagged rocks and despair.
