It's 3 am,
her pillow soaked in regret.
Loss has left her spirit lonesome,
darkness a definition of insanity.
In the silence of the night,
vexatious voices vibrate inside
her somber state of mind.
Restless, she sits at her proverbial piano,
as a plethora of pain bleeds through
her fingers onto ebony and ivory keys.
Rain drops drip from her eyes,
unable to contain the sorrows in her heart.
In perfect harmony with her faithful piano,
her heartache performs the perfect poetic personification,
echoing a serenade of melancholic melodies.
Her whole body is numb, but the
music mesmerises her mind, as memories
of her prophetic protagonist persist.
Her souls sighs, as she sings;
"If only you could see the pain,
maybe then you would explain,
what do you think you will gain,
from my mind going insane?
It seems like you don't care,
tell me how is that fair?
You'll say it's you and not me,
because you're too blind to see,
only your love can set me free,
but you say it's not meant to be.
It seems like you don't care,
tell me how is that fair?
Oh my love, is this goodbye?
Your silence makes my heart cry.
Within the deepness of each sigh,
I will always question why."

Simple Musing
Silent One
For most of my life, I had heard it said,
'Follow your heart.' It made sense to me,
but there was a measure of vagueness.
Only a few years ago did I hear someone say,
'Do not follow your heart; LEAD your heart'.
Someone has also said, 'Lead, follow, or get
out of the way. ' What shall I then do?
Upon hearing the word, LEAD, I knew immediately.
I knew that my heart did not have the leadership
qualities required to navigate this journey of mine.
I knew that my heart reeked with inconsistencies.
At times, it was indecisive, weak, and worried.
At times, it displayed both surprises and deceit.
With such traits, how could my heart be depended
upon to lead me through the hills and valleys of life?
I needed decisiveness, strength, confidence, and faith.
I needed something, someone, greater than me or my heart.
That is where Christ and His teaching came in with answers.
Brick by brick, I built this home,
each piece with purpose, in which it owns.
It was the hardest task I ever did face,
As I made sure everything was in its right place.
Yet, suddenly, my house collapsed, tumbling to the ground.
My heart started drumming, I felt every pound.
Confused by the aftermath, and all the destruction in sight,
what caused this to happen, I pondered through the night?
Was it the weight of my burdens too heavy to bear?
Or the cracks in my foundation, too deep to repair?
I stood amidst the rubble, feeling lost and alone,
wondering how to rebuild what was once my home.
But as I sifted through debris, a realization grew
that sometimes I must let go and build something new.
Through destruction, there lies something beautiful underneath,
just believe in yourself and let your heart guide your feet.
Remembering that sometimes good things rest in a pit
and faith holds the purpose that mortars each brick.
~My Heart With The Lord Can't Stray~
(Rubaiyat Sonnet)
My heart with the Lord can not stray
Without Him I wouldn't last a day
He wants to walk with me I know
God with me always all the way
Each day when eyes open heart glow
Send praises to God above that's so
Lord dries my tears with Him I've won
From God only love and truth flow
God loves no matter what we've done
Jesus forgives and sins are gone
God Heavenly Father I adore
Hides from enemies to Him can run
To God only worship and pray
I know He dries all tears away.

distant, so distant
was a smile on her lunar face
distant were the last year’s bricks
of the mouldy last year’s factory
distant are the colorful lights
of the ferris wheel we used to ride
distant is the white sand beach
where you turned into a strawberry cloud
distant is the desert mile
stifling in June as in January
distant are the missing kids
carried away from homes of misery
distant is that washed-up boat
spread across the dozen of cities
distant is the day I was born
that dog’s day of dog’s summer
distant is my skin from my body
my brain miles away from my heart
distant are the joys of youth
in a haunted chamber up in the attic
distant are all those faces
all those voices & their echoes
just the echoes
ever so d i s t a n t
He sits in the attic all day, trimming his fur
A creature without a name or a country
Climbs into my closet an hour before bedtime
I sense him, but cannot see him
For he can be invisible when he wants to be
I sense he has fangs, and claws
He wants to hurt me
Of this I am sure
I am terrified, for his presence is suspected
At first I think he is under the bed
My mother looks and assures me he is not
I know something is there though
Something evil that will grab my foot
I cannot fall asleep, for I am terrified
My heart beats triple time
I hear a snarl and I scream
Something under my bed laughs
The closet door opens.
It is my worst nightmare
Coming to life
My heart never wants to roam
Too far from this loving home
I have finally created
Too long I've patiently waited
For caring voices, soft and low
Not angry words that harshly flow
Loving arms for holding tight
Making everything alright
Not the hands that slapped and hit
In an angry raging fit
Ears to listen when your down
When problems are leading you down
A path of self destruction
I have love to do construction
Not ears that ignore your cries
Saying it's a bunch of lies
Eyes seeing the real you
And all your beauty so true
Deep inside that can now show
As my love towards you will grow
Not the eyes that only saw
Ugliness and so much more
That I was called every day
My self esteem fading away
The people in my life right now
Will never have to wonder how
I love them, there's now way
They are told this everyday
The love for my children/hubby
Will shine so big and sparkly
Never burning out it will
Be there at full blast to fill
Them with a sense of love so true
My devotion will shine through
So they never feel the
Pain that childhood brought me
Hear My Cry
There's a tear
That drops
Everytime I see
That this world is
Not what it should be
People killing ,people loosing
Life is somehow now confusing
So what do we do , how can we change
The value of life is not the same
People trying to understand why
Lord Can you hear our cry
Chorus
I'm crying
My heart aching
Why are people life being taken
Lord help me understand why
Lord Hear my cry
Verse 2
Another family weeping
Another not sleeping
Another losing faith
Another closed case
Another heartache
Another dream deferred
Life is gone how to hold on ?
Enough on our plate
The Lord doesn't make mistakes
Whether it's an illness or someone got shot
While you are living give it all you got
Drop to your knees
Give the Lord glory
You lived another day to tell your story
Chorus
I'm crying
My heart aching
Why are people life being taken
Lord help me understand why
Lord Hear my cry
Hear me , let your spirit near me
Hear me , let your spirit near me
Lord help me understand why
Lord please hear my cry
(Repeat 1x)
Chorus
I'm crying
My heart aching
Why are people life being taken
Lord help me understand why
Lord Hear my cry
(Repeat until chorus fades)

Goodbye, goodbye
Beautiful month of August,
Goodbye sweetness,
My sweet vacation,
My beautiful wanderings
Goodbye girls and girls
Winning smiles,
Goodbye, goodbye
Pretty blueberries
On the crazy tongue,
Goodbye, goodbye
Beautiful month of August,
You’re going back to school,
Girls, sweet fruits,
My sweet holidays,
Good bye, good bye,
Crazy youth,
Here is the autumn,
Goodbye, goodbye
Beautiful month of August,
If love still
Warm my heart,
Goodbye, goodbye,
Beautiful month of August,
Goodbye my misfortunes,
Good bye, good bye,
Beautiful month of August,
Apricots and strawberries,
I have no doubt
When I think to you.
I sit with sullen memories,
alone on an amber shore.
A balmy breeze ruffles my hair
as I recall a night of wildling winds
that took you away, my love.
It violently ripped us apart,
plunging a dagger into my heart
as if Romeo's hand impaled it there,
leaving it bleeding in mistaken err.
Once, we bore genuine feelings
that youthful passion explores...
dancing in moonlight's golden glow.
But too soon you were gone,
leaving me grieving and forlorn.
Melancholy misery darkened the sky
and brought tears to doleful eyes.
Now, my weary mind turns back the night
to when my world was turned upside down,
ending in ashes and embers that took flight.
I remember waking early one morning,
as a child, singing a wishful song,
"Daisy, Daisy, growing in the meadow,
please tell me true. Will I fall in love?"
Never given thought to the hellish heartbreak
only death could cause, or the lingering need
I still feel to hold you in my arms again.
Memories take me to a dismal place
filled with shadows that haunt my dreams.
Only on waking can I catch my breath
to stop my screams and tears of despair,
the mawkish mourning over your death.
I bare my heart's bitter bereavement
with pangs of loss each time I recall
our youthful days of passion
when once we loved and had it all...
before wildling winds took you away.
