Ask the Messenger

on Earth’s circumvallate
 he would be laid,
 lifeless upon the lap
 of his Mother
and on that day would be named
 now and forevermore,
God’s Gether… for in that day
 are all tears gathered
 look at them, and fear
 the things to come, think
 ever deeper now, and greet
 this mourning, hear nature asking
where, oh where, is he, who
 as our companion, travelled(3)
all space-time freed of human form
 and feminine traits, and he
 self-named his essence, I-EAGLE-TWO…
 in memory of his father
mystery of womb, wind, sky, and
slaughter; held in that “eye” of awe
 as the sunflower’ diurnal motion
 laying openly upon the roof
of this world, ever watching down
 calling gently to those “friends”
 and his enemies, laughing hauntingly
at the latter’ lathering fear filled sweats
 as this “(????????)”,
have you yet guessed this guest?
at day’s dusk, and then again
 by dawn’s redeeming draw
his reach is long, and into and through
your minds he roams, teasing your thoughts
 twisting your faux beliefs
as does Loki shift from witch to fly
 and consumes your roasted heart
 he, is that warrior’ bathed
 master of that “Fifth Discipline”
“fostering aspiration” in the minds that seek
 developing “reflective conversation”
 between the strong and meek
 and through a universal rapport
 promotes “understanding complexity”
 “Systems thinking”
this is his drinking water’ brine
 at his stand beyond,
as “Keeper of the Western Gate”,
 within this universal bourse,
 upon those “circles of causality”
he lends his hand to those who can
to those who cannot, his whist
 he scends upon their brows,
and boy! is it ever steamy!
 beaming out similes and hyperboles
and itchy knees to his and hers,
theirs and those, whose noses know
the profound truth is fast approaching
 critically fast, that blue
 heated mass of spiritual essence
that was promised to all of earth’s children
that this “center” of the sun will come
returning “hell” to earth to render
those who earned their promised whipping
for tipping life in their favor
so, do look towards your sun,
focus in upon that inner aye
and glimpse your own future’s butcher
and do fear what was foretold to be…

Premium Member Once a Hero

He devastated foreign pastures

As a cog in a well oiled evil wheel

A nameless legalized conqueror

They praised his endless courage

Reckless bravery under command

Following orders no questions asked

The contest was rigged in his favour

A mega machine against a few guns

Foes fell like pins in a bowling alley

He rolled the dice over life and demise

Life was cheap at the price of a bullet

He pulled the trigger as if he had been

At the shooting gallery in his hometown

Remembered his childhood sweetheart

And the pink teddy bear he gave her

A few rag dolls survived in the ruins

Life was a thunderous blast for the killer

Until a land mine felled his glorious quest

Did not feel much no time to beg for mercy

A soldier ground into a desert of pain

Thus the invader unceremoniously vanished

Into the dust of memory’s timeless barrel

Only for some other pawn to take his place

Posthumously they awarded a Purple Heart

In pride pinned a medal onto his imaginary chest

Though he had none left to feature the badge

His coffin was empty and bugles betrayed

The meaning of a star spangled banner

Draped over the fact that he had no grave

The red white and blue of the flag hurt her eyes

Soon enough his children forgot their father

The widow struggled with his merit under fire

Shed tears onto the ribbon bestowed in vain

Crushed the award in a grinder of sadness

They say time is a limitless healer for mourning

And that this too will pass for a grieving soul

That warriors are not immortal in light of the cause

For a cross is forever and blood dries in the sun

But when she sees no valid reason for his demise

She becomes a miserable ghost slaughtered by proxy

As she retrieves a shred of resilience and braves demons

His and hers and faces a dim smile on a fading photo

Anger turns into guilt for she too had supported the war

A white flag holds more credence than shredded bones

The empty nest syndrome

Looking up, into the skies, clouds form
an empty nest, it becomes the norm.
I do not desire to know the empty nest syndrome!
Yet must, as my young Bird seldom comes home.

It is a natural process- an inevitable course for life,
yet it is difficult to accept, worrying, living with strife
as one observes, in horror and looks, with fear,
into the eyes of all you gave to, seeing it slowly disappear

into the groping claws of ?, losing what is Dear,
to the insanity of this insane, as he takes hold
of your beloved, young Daughters innocence, to mold
her – with empty promises – into the likeness of him,

this punk, pr~ck, as~~ole demented, who’s light is so dim,
shadow cannot be seen, life for my Beauty, is a black hole abyss
from which she may not escape – a good life she will miss –
from this place, this place she sees not nor able to rise above,

thinking she feels ?, believing his feelings are love,
this sh~t he lays on her – this sick demented f~ck
who uses, abuses, plays her, drags her into the muck
because he can, because of her naiveté, her obsession,

her insecurities, her innocent beauty, her depression.
In his life time - an innocent cute ty, never !, never !,
again to know, as never before, nor after – ever !
It is no wonder, under his thumb, he keeps my Melanie,

trapped by all – his and hers – she unable to set herself free
as he plays his mind games – threats that will not let her be
a woman, on her own – in the right hands - that I might see
come to maturity in all her beauty – not to be – to high the fee !

Emptied Skills

No talk, no walk,
No laws, no clause,
That's her way of dreaming.
Just the silence between the journey,
The peace connecting two broken pieces of heart,
Was the making of the bro sis art.
Their relationship was an art,
Not just his and hers, but even those who aren't related by blood.
He lauded her through all the thick and thin,
He gained her trust more than kith and kin.
To her, unique was his taste
Though he had his own shi*ty fate.
Neither more nor less does she know about,
For he was a mystery man,
She wanted him, though he didn't belong to her clan.
He wanted her..but the art wasn't supposed to last.
A rumour, a slap, a betrayal and their dreams got crashed.
She shove him, he was sensitive, and her agony had no limit.
He was a close brother, who she lost out of suicide,
In his last days, she couldn't be by his side.
Regret's a b*tch , she's bearing it to this date,
Coz he opened her life's most fearful gate
Those Saturdays, those bunks to drop by the complex,
And the magazines, those weekly tarot, that never gave a glimpse of their darker days.
His alter ego turned him a villian, snatching their hay days,
Ceasing all dreams that didn't get its wings,
And it wasn't just his life, she had also seen the worst.
Now look what she's upto, stuck up in a med school,
No him, no wings, and she ain't enough cool.
Diving in the ocean all alone, for the big sharks to eat her up.
It's a tale, with a broken tail, applauding for the pain she felt.

Box of Socks

I searched the store with glee;
Going on a shopping spree
To find a gift for you from me
To place beneath the Christmas tree

The busy shoppers I did pass;
What should I get? I had to ask
So many things for me to buy
In frustration I gave a sigh

Should it be practical or should it be fun?
Should it be pretty; will I ever get done?
I racked my brain; thought…this is hard!
Maybe I should just get a gift card

I searched and searched
 and searched some more
Almost walked right out the door

I couldn’t make up my mind you see
A tough decision it would be
Should I buy for a girl or a boy
Maybe I could tuck it inside a toy

No, that’s not right, but then I thought
Something for both; that’s what I’d do
I’d pick out something good for two
And so I thought two gifts instead of one
Boy this is going to be fun
I’d made the plan, the plan was done

His and Hers is what it would be
Christmas unmentionables under the tree
Oh how funny it would be

But what size to buy
I hadn’t a clue
Oh no; this just would not do

I had to go; my time was gone
This was taking way too long
So I decided once and for all
To save myself a trip to the mall

Hope I’ve sparked your curiosity
Dr. Seuss would be proud of me

For wrapped within this gift of mine
A poem for you at Christmas-time
Holds a clue; what will it be?
Open it up and you will see

In this time of hard knocks
The perfect gift a box of socks

Sorry 'Bout Cowboys

It was just a honky-tonk in a Texas border town.
She was sittin' all alone and had that whiskey frown.
I walked over in my shiny boots said,"Can I sit down?"
She said," You ain't my type, but I could use another round."

They were playin' a slow one, but she didn't want to dance.
I said,"Tell me the story about your bad romance."
She said, "It's always you cowboys, I never have a chance.
I'm a sucker for blue eyes and those denim cowboy pants."

She's leavin' this old border town with the sun tomorrow.
Had her fill of broken hearts and days that fill with sorrow.
She's leavin' this old border town with the sun tomorrow.
She'll get the money somewhere - she'll beg, steal, or borrow.

I said, "I'm sorry 'bout cowboys and your romantic woes,
But I sell insurance and I'm sure not one of those.
I'm from Texas and I'm comfortable in Western clothes,
And the boots just seem to fit me from the heel to the toes."

We talked awhile until I mentioned gems and furs.
Then we talked of motels with the towels that say "His" and "Hers".
I walked her to my pickup with lots of "Thank you, sir's"...
I forgot to clean my truck and she sat down on my spurs.

She's leavin' this old border town with the sun tomorrow.
Had her fill of broken hearts and days that fill with sorrow.
She's leavin' this old border town with the sun tomorrow.
She'll get the money somewhere - she'll beg, steal, or borrow.

Sun

I want the sun to bypass
     all the clouds
     Melt all the cold
        and bring me sunshine
          Cause through
            the winter
           People look for cuddle buddies
                  Honey bunnies
                 His and hers sweaters
                      Holding her umbrella
                            As you walk
                             Through the rain
                              type of partners
I just want to hold myself
                                   I don't want the weather
                                           to affect my mood
                                                   by reminding me
                                                This is the time
Where we should be caught up
                                                     In finding a warm body
                                                          To stand next to
I want the sun to blast
                                                               My icy heart
                                                             So I can be free
                                                               To just be me
Walking proudly and getting a tan

Ultimate Unrequitedness

Ultimate Unrequitedness
________________________________________
Before we met in the flesh

We waltzed with words on a website for dating,

A mating dance for a modern world

We clicked online and off

Profiles made for blending

Amending our previous life errors

For two forty-something's

Fortunate to find old fashioned love

Above anything they'd experienced 'til now

We found common ground

In our un-common past

At last, for two, the one.

Optimistic for our coupling

A future uncertain yet sure

His and hers' mature gift.

She died on a Thursday

Slain by an off springs hand, who emptied

The sand of her life's timer.

Our non-existent plans shattered

By a sick boys' mind

Find it hard to blame the illness, not the child.

What becomes of loves' chemistry

when one element is no more,

Torn from the noble bond.

Surviving this trauma

Does the partner left as one

Become the ultimate unrequited lover.

Dwelling on the promise

Unfulfilled, of a future

Sure to have contained joy at last.

No, the love between two

Lives in the stolen moment

Remembered in peace.

Premium Member Adidas Slides

College daze and younger days with my girl who brings me a luxury of comfort and she goes good with anything like Adidas slides

Three stripes like the three rings, two promises leading up to the real thing
You, Lo, and me, our forever family, do the best things come in threes?

Adidas slides with the Nike shorts because we don’t care about what they have to say

His and Hers setting relationship goals our love feels unfair

Too good to be true every time you say I love you

We have a different type of vibe and I am always down to ride as long as it’s you I am dying for

I know I am selfish too much and get on your nerves more often than I should so please don’t hate me

Because life is a trip and sometimes feels like a slip, and slide because it’s hard to get a grip when life is overwhelming you

So, I’ll just keep looking at you because even when we fight something you do calms me down like my headphones are in, walking down the street, and you know what is on my feet

Are you walking next to me…?

Let’s go to the movies and not dress up this time

p.s. just our love, shorts, leggings, t-shirt, shades, and Adidas slides…

It Happens

It sucks...
when your owie
remains disregarded
because your adhesive band-aid
decides to stuck itself
obstinately
mid tries,

It sucks...
when the lights to
your preferred restaurant
flicker's off when you all arrive
and its sign says open
daily twenty
three hours,

It sucks...
when our autos
license plates custom-made
said, "HIS" and "HERS" and after our
divorce, she then changed it
so now it reads,
"WAS HIS",

It sucks...
when I go to
the zoo to throw peanuts
to the elephants to feed them
but because of my size
they throw peanuts
at me,

It sucks...
when I was at
the airport to buy a
plane ticket for a noontime flight
she says, "Is that twelve noon?"
I said, "No, it's...
two noon?!?!?"

Ugh!
