A Word From Your Sponsor (Part 3)

stay tuned we'll be right back so don't touch that remote
a word from your sponsor is coming of which you should take note
God said to be of good courage and to have no fear
and that's a direct command that He wants us to adhere

everyone has a choir of critics, a bunch of nitpickers
never a word of encouragement, a bunch of bitter snickers
folks will always have their opinions be they bad or good
and if you're in a position of leadership to tell you they think they should
they're just like an old shoe's tongue always flapping when on the go
but a word from your sponsor is what you really need to know
your sponsor is your Savior, the Master Potter of Life
your sponsor is the Holy Lord, Jesus the Christ

three times Jehovah told Joshua to be courageous and to be strong
and don't worry about what the world has to say for I know where you belong
listen to My instructions for this is a direct command
just listen to your Sponsor and get with the program
it's not about your credentials, your experience nor your resume
it's not about any plaques or awards that you've received up to this day
a word from your Sponsor is all you ever need to hear
as what the world usually says is shrouded in discouragement and despair
when you think back over your life and all that you've survived
you will see that it was the grace of God that kept you alive
strength is the inner connection to God that you've been given
and courage is the outward expression of how you should be living

courage is the thing that made a young David realize
that Golieth was just another target only bigger in size
courage is the thing that will stop fear in its tracks
and make you more focused when the enemy attacks
a word from your heavenly Sponsor goes beyond human understanding
so do whatever it is that the Lord God is commanding

a word from your Sonsor is playing on the spiritual channel
so don't touch that dial, the remote nor the cable TV panel
a word from your Spnsor will stand the test of time
the everlasting bread of life on which you should dine
to eat of the Daily Bread that God has in abundant supply
to meditate on the word of God on which you can rely
a word from your Sponsor is what you need to hear in life
the eternal word of God and the gospel of Jesus the Christ

(Inspired by all the Adams, but with special mention to Frank,
Dr. Ram, and Christopher)

For being a lazy head, see what you reap. . .
I came from your ribcage while you were asleep!
I’m second but best, and I’m looking fly,
so get with the program. Wise up, silly guy!

Don’t get all riled now that I’m not your type.
Have you seen a mirror? Talk about hype!
Go look in the stream then and see what I mean.
I’m needing a king because I am the queen!

You can’t lay down laws, for Eve is my name.
And as the First Lady, rule-breaking’s my game!
And neither to me does size matter a bit.
I’m after a man who has style and great wit!

Around here you won’t find a 7-11.
What did you think? That we’d gone to heaven?
Inside this here garden, with plenty to eat,
I’ll cook, but you catch it. . . And bring me a treat!

If being away from my voice is your wish,
then go to that stream there and catch me a fish.
I’ve already trained all the parrots to talk
to entertain me while you’re out on a walk!

Go be by yourself whenever you please.
I’m woman, and I’ve put the creatures at ease.
The mammals already have found me so grand,
I’ve got them all eating right out of my hand.

Because of my wisdom and my patient ways
I think we’ll be living here millions of days.
So don’t bother me and I won’t bother you.
And maybe we’ll even find “fun stuff” to do!

A doctor named Ram in a garden nearby
is looking for someone who digs a smart guy.
He says that he needs the “intellect’s touch”
I might just go there if you hassle me much!

And off somewhere else I heard of another
named Adam too. Could he be your brother?
I might like to check him out, though his Eve
has told me he fancies himself with a Steve!

And don’t think I’ll leave for your telling me to.
There’s only so much you can get me to do.
That snake tried to give me an apple. The fool.
I rarely eat fruit, but a roast sure sounds cool!

So gird up your loins and catch us a lion.
Then I’ll don my leaf apron and begin fryin’.
And just you remember, in sex’s sweet war,
The one with nice “melons” is surest to score!

Frankenstein

7/25/21

Until infinity
In any vicinity
Let me put it out there officially
I smoke and drink religiously
Call it the holy trinity
Initially
You'd think it does not mean s*** to me
And that all of it was done deliberately
Don't need your sympathy
Back-up or an infantry
Going to handle it differently
Instead of taking it all literally

This took effort and energy
Listen up Beverly
And Jeffery
A sad tune and melody
No cure or remedy
Every
Century
Continual treachery
Impacting longevity
Lives put in jeopardy
Done in plain sight or with discrepancy
Only thing left is a memory
The cycle going on endlessly

In case you're unaware
Had to start somewhere
I once cared
Now my heart, it's nothing there
People often just stare
Realize real life never was fair

I'd just hide and brush it to the side
I ain't got all the time
Or I'll fall behind
In a world full of crime
I've tried to keep an open mind
Instead of being asinine
Occasionally drinking seltzer with alkaline
Still looking for my valentine
While close and far from power lines
Became friends with a Porcupine
They never tried to undermine
Or made me feel like Frankenstein
Often I'm Jekyll but then I change to Hyde
All this rage inside
Is today the day I die?

Soldier, stand down
Don't be a damn clown
When there's toxic gas around
And in the sky a giant ash cloud

So what if they have doubts
And want to bad mouth
Once again I'm about to black out

All across the homeland
She needs to get with the program
I've been on that Conan
So she can get some romance
Watch me do it with no hands
Another body another toe tag
Like Godzilla against Rodan

Instead of always being so mad
Find a solution by making your own plan
Otherwise it all could go bad

Supposedly the ideal woman's measurements

Used to be 36-32-36

That's no longer reality which the fashion industry

Is finally starting to acknowledge

We're starting to see ads with a little heavier models

Because a recent study showed

That 63% of Americans are overweight

I'm definitely within that majority

Although I'm doing something about it

Have been riding my exercise bike

For 20 minutes every day for the past 2 years

One of my meals, either lunch or dinner is a salad

However as we age, the difficulty of losing weight

Becomes much more difficult to achieve

For a lot of us the famous yo-yo dieting comes into play

Without strong perseverance one must be dedicated

To the cause but it also must be a whole new life style change

And must include a steady exercise routine

It doesn't have to resemble an Olympic training program

As long you're active in some manner or other

And of course eating properly

No one ever said dieting would be easy

But the benefits far outweigh the effort

So get with the program people... it's all up to you!

We all look the same sitting on the toilet
We all look the same sitting in traffic
Nevertheless is nevertheless does
Just because you are on a diet doesn't mean you can't look at the Menu
100% of anything is junk
I am impatient with stupidity
Counter intuitive is counter productive
No one can make u feel inferior without your consent
There are too many people in the world
Wisdom is the practical application of knowledge
Evolution through revolution negating convolution

Some are mine, some are not,
but a cerebral cord, oh yes, they should rought
that full cranial awareness is still upward thinking,
but cranial farts of the masses are snot.
Get with the program get out of your head
and see life's counterparts not measured in dread.
Do something different, skip a life automatic
get off your ass u me and live life pragmatic.
Forego social domestication that has shaped our existenance
and reach beyond to a place of resistance
be who you want to be what you are to be,
and don't settle for less F, the powers at Be.

Focus

church bells banging against the glass
shattering fragments en masse
i open my eyes, stare at the paper
i need to focus, i have to focus.

the mirror shards are tight against my skin
there’s barely a layer of flesh keeping me in
i close my eyes, point my head at the paper.
i need to focus, i have to focus.

why can’t i focus?
i need to focus.

what’s so wrong with me?
why can’t i be who i need me to be?
what happened to my glee?
where is she?

the clatter of bell-rings screams in my head
i’ll just fidget with my hands instead.
i open my eyes, stare at the paper.
i need to focus, i have to focus.

i look in a glass scrap mirrored at my face
holes have been picked across the space
i close my eyes, point my head at the paper.
i need to focus, i have to focus.

why can’t i focus?
i need to focus.

what’s so wrong with who I am?
why can’t i be better than a sham?
why do i give too much of a damn?
i just need to get with the program.

i need to focus.

Premium Member They Didn'T Land With Us On the Beaches - In Trump's Own Words

I’m sure I’m quite right,
I cannot be wrong,
I was always so bright.
My memory’s strong.

I well racked my brain,
Considered all facts
And with consummate strain
Followed the tracks.

The Kurds were not there
Nowhere in sight,
This I declare
Knowing I’m right.

That day on the beaches,
With fighting so strong,
As history teaches,
No Kurds came along.

Now they seek succor,
Too late by a mile,
When so far in the gutter
They needn’t me dial.

They claim we should help them,
Protect them from foes,
It’s me they condemn
For their long list of woes.

Get with the program,
Move it along
Hurry and scram
From the conquering throng.

Don’t try and convince me
I’ve made the wrong choice,
I’m sure you’ll agree
You haven’t a voice.

Cloudy days are a real test
They can drag our spirits down
But I'm usually up for the challenge
In my role as the village clown

My goal is to bring a great big smile
To a bunch of faces each day
What better way to spend my energy
Than to chase all the blues away

If we could all get with the program
What a happy place this could be
Instead of a bunch of sour pusses
We would climb the happiness tree

Not saying I have all the answers
We've got lots of problems on earth
Hope we're headed in the right direction
Let's celebrate the world's rebirth

Cloudy days are a real test
They can drag our spirits down
But this guy won't let the blues inside
You won't catch me wearing a frown

Tell Me

Tell me how to think
Tell me what to do
Tell me if my politics
Should be red or blue
Tell me how to live
What to keep or give
And tell me what I know
If I should stay or go

Tell me what is truth
Tell me what is lie
Tell me how to keep
Big corporate profits high
Tell me how to live
What to keep or give
And tell me what I know
If I should stay or go

Tell me who to shun
Tell me what to see
Tell me who to love
And those not akin to me
Tell me how to live
What to keep or give
And tell me what I know
If I should stay or go

Tell me everything
Tell me who I am
Tell me what I know
How to get with the program
Tell me how to live
What to keep or give
And tell me what I know
If I should stay or go

Tell Me!
