The Happiness Tree

Cloudy days are a real test
They can drag our spirits down
But I'm usually up for the challenge
In my role as the village clown

My goal is to bring a great big smile
To a bunch of faces each day
What better way to spend my energy
Than to chase the blues away

If we could all get with the program
What a happy place this could be
Instead of bunches of sour pusses
We would climb the happiness tree

Not saying I have all the answers
We've got lots of problems on earth
Hope we're headed in the right direction
Let's celebrate the world's rebirth

Cloudy days are a real test
They can drag our spirits down
But this guy won't let the blues inside
You won't catch me wearing a frown

I leave it to you to make a cloudy day shiny and happy! I myself enjoy cloudier days, for we get a lot of sun here in California. Though, we all can catch the blues, though as you wrote, we've got to climb that happiness tree! I've got to say, lately, due to reading a lot of your poetry, I have been feeling much happier. Truly, what a blessing!!! I owe you big for that, so here's a bunch of cyber hugs!!! mmm! Love ya! Have a wonderful Friday and a relaxing weekend my dearest poet! Always, Laura

"I have been feeling much happier" I am truly overjoyed to hear you say that! To have that effect on you brings me so much joy, my California girl! Love ya to bits, Jack (signing off up in the tree!)
