she is in the middle of my worst
holding me
she is in the eye of my storm
consoling me
she is in the deepest state of my rage
calming me
she is in the saltiest part of my sadness
cleansing me
whatever it is that gives her the strength to love such a tortured soul
is a question that i will never intend to ask
just knowing that i have her love to lean on when i need it only makes me
love her more
i guess the golden rule applies when the truth is in the center of all naturally pure
intentions
as a sort of reward of gratitude, i surprise her the next day with breakfast in bed
Courage is not fashioned in One's mind
This language unknown to the Ego's eye
Courage pours from the heart
Only the blessed are given the mark
Endless oceans of cosmic truth
Rushes forward to carry One through

To soar seraphim high
With the Angels
As Am I
Are your customers
your students,
your patients and clients,
your constituents,
cash cows
and potentially bullish runaway viral markets?
Or cherished neighbors
and healthy allies?
Asked the newly retired Queen of Soul.
Are your kids,
Are your grandparents,
Are your future and past generations
of exponentially growing DNA diversity
competing chauvinistic wealth investors?
Or co-investors in cooperative health-soul development?
Is there really nothing between such hell
and heaven?
I asked in between.
Only self-perpetuating purgatory
for those who insist on responding to soulful questions
with devil in the details questions
that don't correctly begin
with mutually spelled out
respect INTEGRITY.
so how do we learn to go about minding our minds?
it's about building the right relationship that with God you find
in the book of Mark it says to "love the Lord with all thine mind"
to connect with Him intellectually in a way that is sublime
we need to engage with Him on a level that requires us to discern
that it's not just our hearts but our minds towards God we need to turn
to lean not towards our own understanding
but to let the wisdom of God's word be what we are commanding
we live in a time where education and intellect is much prized
it's about how many higher level degrees that a person had realized
MBA, Ph.D those letters that are placed after one's name
is what society expects a person to have attained
for you can't compete in the market place of this global economy
if you don't have at least a four year bachelor's degree
minding your mind is what one needs to learn
to listen to the teachings of God and intellectually discern
and the way to accomplish that is to pray exponentially
by talking to the Lord God unceasingly
we also need to be patient and learn how to wait
for that is what hope requires for us to keep the faith
minding your mind by finding your godly purpose for being
for a productive person is what God desires to be seeing
so discover and acertain that gift that to you God did give
and utilize it in a way so that holy you now may live
minding your mind by allowing the spirit of God to come in
to raise you up higher and away from earthly sin
as it's all about the right relationship that with God you will find
to living for His purpose for you by learning to mind your mind
now able to function with a peaceful mind knowing God's in control
now able to sleep better at night as He watches over your soul
now operating with a positive mindset trusting in the Lord
filled with honesty, virtue and praise for Him in all accord
goodness, nobility and purity are the things you now embrace
minding your mind by thinking of God in the first place
it's all about the right relationship that with the Lord God you'll come to define
living prayerfully, patiently, purposefully and peacefully with a positive state of mind

into my outstretched and empty heart

It's the most significant day in Black American history
December 6,1865 the legal ending of chattel slavery
It was 157 years ago
When they finally let God's people go
In the year 1619 was when it all started
Africans from the Motherland were permanently parted
And when in 1787 the US Constitution came to be
The southern states now wanted the slaves
To be considered more than property
Hence there was a compromise to that plan
Black slaves would be denoted as 3/5 of a man
But in 1810 an alarming trend America would then see
The slave population started growing exponentially
Also there were now many free Blacks as well
Who were educating the slaves and causing all kinds of hell
So in 1830 the white Americans enacted a law
That teaching slaves to read would be no more
But they didn't stop at that they came at the Black preachers too
To stop them from giving knowledge and preaching the gospel truth
The Abolitionist movement in America was then born
This mighty democratic republic then became torn
The Dred Scott Decision to Blacks was a devastating blow
Until Abe Lincoln came into power to now run the show
11 southern states abdicated and the Confederacy came to fruition
A Civil War erupted in defiance of the US Constitution
The Emancipation Proclamation was then handed down
Lincoln said I'm president and this conflict over slavery stops now
And in 1864 the 13th Amendment was drafted and enacted
It ended slavery with a lot of southern dissatisfaction
Abolitionists went to Congress on January 31,1865
To make sure that Amendment in session would not be passed by
Yet it took almost an entire year for enough states to ratify
Then legally & federally slavery in America did die
4 million plus Black Americans were now legally free
Abolition Day a momentous day in Black American history
Just another day in paradise,
From this wondrous planet that we live.
As we bathe in the marvels of technology,
While imagining if there's anything else to give.
It seems the engine that drives this innovation,
Is rooted by computers, with their hardware & software to blend.
Where this has grown exponentially in a lifetime,
It's hard to imagine just how far it may transcend.
Now most of us are aware of the brains of the operation,
Since greater power, and smaller sizes define the microchip.
Not to mention, they carry more weight while being faster,
Almost defying common sense along their trip.
Most amazing of all, this entire industry has only taken about 4 score years,
To develop and encompass almost everything that we touch.
So that we're to the point where they're an absolute necessity,
We might even consider it to be a huge electronic crutch.
So now our current era has taken its place in the term of AI,
While many pundits thought it the end of mankind.
Although so far, we're mostly all still alive and kicking,
Enjoying the fruits of the many labors of a mastermind.
Coordinates require input, chance comes coincidentally,
Rendezvous a meeting point, your wandering aimlessly,
Vector on interception course, we cross paths randomly
Anticipation is foresight, I never imagined such beauty,
Innocent palpitations strike, overwhelmed by nubility,
Calibration nonessential, elegance exudes so naturally,
Reason is the difficult part, am I thinking irrationally,
Infatuation happens, pubescence outgrows captivity,
Desire lost in translation, god what is happening me,
Cannot understand, attractions growing exponentially,
Resistance futile, unconditional surrender I give freely,
Stay a little longer, for I’m helpless through invisibility,
Somehow you went away, disappearing into obscurity,
My only confession now, is yearning a crushed fantasy.

if only we could all...
find...
peace in war, beauty in ugliness.
construct...
and not dismantle each other.
offer help...
to all who need it.
try to understand...
people, cultures, religions
and perspectives alien to us
instead of rushing to condemn.
exponentially favor...
what unites us
over what divides us.
control...
anger; never allowing it
to take plenary control of us.
accept all people...
for whom they really are,
as opposed to dismissing them
for being "different"
wouldn't that be a wondrous thing? just imagine!
all humanity
would be gold
in bright sunshine.

Like an intimate massage,
our lips embrace in a kiss.
And in that perfect moment,
two hearts experience bliss.
Love grows exponentially,
getting stronger with each day.
For once rooted in my soul,
nothing can take it away.
At the birth of our daughter,
my heart nearly burst with pride.
For your tears of happiness
touched me, and I cried inside.
A broken remnant of war,
I'm more manikin than man.
But love rallies around me,
and I do the best I can.
Behind a bastion of hope,
my spirit's undefeated.
And yet, deep in my being,
I can't help but feel cheated.
