All of God's people are called to sing
from every part of the earth
to come together as one united body
all one by the Holy Spirit's new birth
Come to the Lord in holy worship
to your King who reigns on high
fear of the Lord is His only way
coming to bow down for sin to die
Holiness and sin can't lie together
one receives life, the other death
holy is the Lord perfectly assured
so sin will die until its last breath
Every day sing forth good news
of God's salvation, go and tell
this salvation is for everlasting
so sing aloud, my soul is well
Proclamation is the divine key
to open the door of this salvation
Jesus God's son, came and died
this His gift for our redemption
("Sing to the Lord, all the earth;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.")
1 Chronicles 16: 23 (NKJV)

Mounts daydreams in the azure bay.
An eerie sway casts halos in the night sky.
As a sparkling moonbeam sprayed moon.
It is the lyrical refrain of the world, hewn.
Drenched in the moonlight odoriferous embrace,
The moonlit reverie grabs its place.
Whispering chronicles of zeal and desire,
In the nebulous shadows, fealty will transpire.
The moon, a regent on its celestial throne,
Ascends the empyrean heights, shown
Its resplendent blaze dabbled in the night,
Splashed across the sky with splendor and might.
A symphony of ripples waltz upon the bay,
As moonshine shimmer casts a cynosure display,
Reflecting the existential ephemeral mysteries,
A nocturne of dreams, amorous for centuries
In this moonlit flash, a queen of midnight.
Splashes the globe with her translucent light.
Her canvas, speckled with paint, is a delight.
Wisdom for forlorn lovers on the starry night.
She queries the stars from her throne in the sky,
And bequeath stories on distant moon rays.
So placid to the grasp, yet sparkling in Gestalt,
And limns on the moon's sketch to impart art.
I know in writing about The Quote Wars, no one probably knows or cares what the heck I'm writing about, but that's Ok......for some mysterious phantom force entreats me....beseeches me....and compels me to write these chronicles. If you read these and shake you head, do not feel alone. I ask not that you accept it nor attempt to make sense of it ......It , like so many anomalies in our universe has no reason...........It just IS. My apologies
The Quote Wars VI
The sun began to rise
To paint the sky blood read
I'm running low on quotes
And can't remember what I've said
The soldiers that are wounded
By the words that strafed the field
Now lie down in this trench with me
Without much strength to wield
We thought when we arrived here
In a few days we'd be home
Armed with all the treasures
In that great eternal Tome
By now its scattered pages
Lay useless on the ground
While the echos of their wisdom
Were nowhere to be found
Now, The sun has fully risen
And the light reveals our plight
We take up pen and paper
And get poised to stand and write
The time has come to leave this tomb
And crawl up from our trench
To face our own mortality
The verdict from the bench
Words fly fast and pierce our flesh
As volumes hit the ground
The ink we carried in our veins
Now splattered on this mound
If I could write just one more line
By turning back the clock
The enemy might just retreat
And end this writers block
More on this war to follow !
"At the end of my life, with just one breath left, if you come then, I'll sit up and sing. That cannot now be said or written." Rumi
Lyrics of loneliness liberate in a lucid language,
lulling loveless librettos of lamenting loss.
In deadly depths of darkness,
deep desires dipped in despair,
misplace my marooned mind
in metaphorical mists of misconception.
Deserted in a domain of demons,
there's an aura of angst amongst absent angels.
When reality resembles a betrayal of butterflies,
withered wings wilt in wild winters without a wish.
In timeless tender tunes of tearful toxic torment,
nocturnal nightingales cry in a crepuscule chorus,
confessing caged crescendos in cryptic codes.
Sickness slithers in sinister silence,
as grinning Grim Reaper reveals his reflection.
My sojourner soul seeks a saviour's silhouette.
Who soothes in seraphic serenades of serenity.
To float in fate's fountain of featherless freedom.
In forbidden fields where fluorescent flowers flourish forever.
Her effervescent eyes exhale an elixir,
evoking an exotic, enticing, everlasting epiphany.
Enchanting in echoes of an Edenic enduring enigma.
Beneath bluebells, breathless and broken,
let me lay inside the lilacs of her amorphous aroma.
Her swan song closing chapter of my chronicles.
A halcyon harmony of heavenly harps,
guiding my gondola towards golden gates of grace.

In the realm where the winds do whisper, and secrets softly tread,
The air is filled with tales untold, and dreams, delicately spread.
Gently it caresses the emerald leaves, sharing tales of afar,
Narrating stories of distant lands, under the same luminous star.
It twirls through the desert’s scorching expanse, lifting grains of timeless sand,
Sharing echoes of ancient times, from a distant, arid land.
Crossing over majestic mountains, where peaks kiss the heavenly blue,
The wind carries the solemn silence, of vistas vast and true.
It glides over the ocean’s endless dance, where waves eternally meet the shore,
Whispering tales of distant realms, and ships that sail no more.
Through the verdant forest, where life buzzes in hidden nooks,
The wind tells stories of the earth, in every cranny and brook.
Sweeping through the city’s hustle, amidst the chaos of human art,
The wind gathers every joy and sorrow, from every beating heart.
It meanders through the fields of flowers, where colors wildly blend,
Sharing fragrances of blossoms, in a perfumed, heady send.
Every whisper of the wandering wind, is a messenger, undefined,
A bearer of the world’s chronicles, and emotions, unconfined.
If we listen with hearts wide open, to the gentle, roaming zephyr,
We might hear the world’s heartbeat, and find our souls, tethered.
Through every gust and gentle breeze, may our spirits freely roam,
Connecting with the world’s whispering winds, in the spaces that they comb.
And in the quiet, may we hear the subtle, intimate threads,
That weave us into this tapestry, where the wandering whisper treads.
The orchards were replaced by rows of lean streets.
They were named after their fruitful history.
Grape, orange, lemon, and peach.
Back in the day. I worked for a moving company
Long after the slum lords took hold of the reins.
We dreaded going into the "fruit belt."
As did the police and firemen.
Our white faces contrasting with the faces of poverty...
One time, from a second-floor balcony.
A cluster of black kids rained spit down on us.
They laughed, turned us into instant cracker jacks.
Maybe they thought we were pinching their humble treasures.
We were mutts made of iron back then.
Shrugging it off and simply topped off the truck.
That was four decades past.
I have a much softer job now.
A few spitballs removed from those orchards of poverty.
Called Grape, Orange, Lemon, and Peach Street.
I have sculpted my father's face in the marble of silent dreams,
and all the vehicles of time, each with its own departure,
I have kept the dungeons as chronicles of oblivion,
and the masks of leaders, shadows of the times, and the teeth of those who tear.
I have embroidered quarrels with women like tapestries of embers,
but most of all, I have captured this night in the hourglass,
as the light drips like old wine on my fingers,
drawings of dust on the walls of the soul,
shadows that dance behind curtains of fire;
I light a rolled dream and laugh like a playful wind,
yes, I have caught everything in the net of time.
The courage of my memory is a silver bird,
flying among the echoes of a lost universe,
but living within me, like a river of whispered stories,
in the murmur of starry nights,
where every detail is a star in the sky of the past,
and every memory is a note from a never-ending symphony.

Okay it's a Goliath
Are you going to be able to defeat it?
Let's see now
What do you have?
You have your look
Ahh what else?
Your personality
No my friend what else?
My God's strength
Now you are talking
Why do you think you can't defeat it?
Isn't God on your side?
Why do you think God will let you fight alone?
No my friend - the battle is the Lord's
Did you know the battle has already been won?
Now what do you say?
Why don't you think the battle is the Lord's?
Didn't He say that in His word? (2 Chronicles 20:15)
Take it at face value my friend
Did what He say always come to pass?
Now what do I say? lol
