Salute To Divine Writers
Ordained to declare words divine
reverberating with “Thus saith the Lord”
they documented awesome miracles
exposing wondrous historical occurrences
proclaimed among precepts and statutes.
Inditing* blessed Scriptures
they were scribes of spiritual calling
endowed with understanding and wisdom
not according to their own mind
but upon illumination of the omniscient Holy Ghost.**
Honoured with their diligence
along heavenly vision’s guidance
they published the Creator’s supreme chronicles
commencing with Genesis patriarchs in their faith fulfilling
to culminate toward Revelation for Christ’s eternal kingdom reign.
Thus, their devotion is commended
by what they have done, many souls have been freed
reached with the Almighty’s mercy and grace
blessed while reading His living Book with trust…
today, I am what I am by the Saviour’s love, expressed by the Bible.
*Psalm 45:1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
