The Healing Hand

The Healing Hand

Raised arms and angry voices
In defiance of events of the day
Turmoil rages in the streets
Things just didn't go their way

It's a picture that is commonplace
Seems it is paramount in our land
Just who is right and who is wrong
Each side expressing their demand

Is there no place for "the golden rule"
Or are we too engulfed in - "our way"
Is there no place for compassion
No time to seek God, - and pray

There is a solution to it all
If His Word, we would apply
It's found in 2nd. Chronicles, 7:14
Greed, anger and malice, it will defy

"Love thy neighbor, as thyself"
Is a tall task for anyone
But the reward, it would provide
Supersedes that of a gun

Each side seeks, a healing hand
But will they pay this price
To sacrifice "self," and turn to Him
No one can improve upon His advice
