Articulating midst roses' scent of God’s goodness*
affectionately, I assert my prayer affirmations for you
Blissfully bringing bountiful salvation-gift
blest redemption of complete pardon
Care and comfort tied around the Saviour's
compassion, assuring everlasting life…
Declaring greetings along roses' bouquet
desirous am I to delight your day
Earnestly expressing commendations for your
enthusiasm and vibrant energy as well as
Faith-anchored fervency, exposing your commitment's
fiery service surpassing red petals of these flowers…
Gladness surely accompanies these roses
gleefully gracing your way toward victory
Hoisting against despair which the thorns reveal
heralding hope that vanquishes failure gloom
Instilling gratefulness to Christ
inspiring worshipful glorious praises…
Joy-filled salutations are what the roses convey
jubilantly to your soul with my best wishes
Keeping you reminded of our covenant of sweet fellowship
kindness engagements while in our reaching-out pursuits
Love verily at work presented by your favorite flowers
liberating against selfishness' dominion.
*Psalm 52:1 … The goodness of God endureth continually.

Like flowers love dew and earth needs the sun,
I want you and look up to you, Darling, for
you are my half, the much better one,
the man that I love, the man I adore.
My love for you - like the sea - is deep.
I ask you, my dear, that always you’ll be
the light of my world, and that you will keep
your love sparkling down like sunbeams on me!
How happy I am to soon be your wife.
Together as one, like tides may we flow
through the highs and lows of this precious life.
An ocean of devotion I will show!
Plunge with me, Darling, soon into the blue.
All I can give you I now pledge to you.

Tesu A Folk Love Story of India Part. 3
Prelude Note: The story as painted here on Poetry Soup is the sole creation and imagination of the writer, except
the names Tesu and Jhonghi.
The Poem Tesu is based on a folk story of India.
The Tesuwalas* (little children with a earthen lamp on their heads) as depicted in the Poem are gradually
diminishing with the passing of time and changing life
styles. It's a tribute to that great warrior and lover Tesu,
who sacrificed his life because he had given words to someone. How and when you would come to know soon ....With best wishes before the festival of Dewali (Light) ...Ravindra
Tesu A Folk Love Story of India Part. 3
The festival of light is again very near
Tesu would be seen
Perhaps once again on the streets,
Till these little girls and boys
Would carry them on their heads
In the lovely decorated Handiya* (earthen pot)
Which resembles
Tesu’s charming beloved, Jhonjhi.07
This is how, the existence
Of the name & deeds of Tesu
Was saved by small village children
Who are carrying it since ages
On their pretty little heads.
Though the name and story has lost
Its real charms and glamour
In the mind of those
Who have forgotten
This non painted hero
Of the bygone age. 08
By coming only once in a year near Dewali*
These little children
Carry Tesu and Jhonjhi,
While singing the Songs
Of their forgotten love story
As a remembrance of a Hero
And his lovely bold beloved Jhonjhi. 09 To continue.....

The new year has begun... another one to follow suit,
to all, both young or old,
the same it will unfold.
A time to celebrate...goodbye old year, and welcome new...
with wishes for a start
to pleasure every heart.
And always it's divided in the way which we expect...
four seasons every year;
same order to appear.
First quarter brings us winter...colder weather, ice, and snow;
although there's still bright sun,
most want our winter done.
Yet, landscapes are most beautiful, a winter wonderland
with lovely pristine snow...
when there's no place to go.
Next quarter brings us Spring..rebirthing of new, tender grass
surrounding buttercups
and daffodil lineups...
While trees fill out with velvet leaves that flutter in the breeze;
providing shade for all,
and bird nests, large and small.
The next three months make quarter three, a favorite for sure;
relaxing in the pool,
and trying to keep cool.
Vacation time to take a break...with family, spend time;
and be it at the shore...
wherever...wish for more.
The final quarter is the last in which we share some fun
like viewing autumn leaves
redecorate the trees.
And, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and of course, our Christmastime;
bring holidays, for sure...
sweet bonding they ensure.
Then comes the last day of the year, another New Year's Eve.
Best wishes spread, and then...
it all will start again!

I wish I could say it wasn't that time of year again like the story finally stopped repeating but sadly not all love stories are happy.....
I wonder if you think how about I feel
If im okay or if im crying....
I wonder if you think man does she hate me
If I wish I never met u
If I regret our marriage
I wonder if you feel bad
That you've hurt me again....
That you put me second again
That again you made me feel unwanted...I wonder...
How do you sleep if u even sleep at all...
Does the drugs numb the pain you feel from hurting me....
Do you even care u hurt me....
Can u feel me slipping away...
Does it scare u..
Are u worried...
Maybe you should be...
Years of disloyalty, lies, secrets...do u care how its destroyed me...
I wonder if u regret it..
The kids, the marriage, the engagement hell even dating me again...I wonder....
Have you fallen out of love?
Has me constantly fighting for us for these past years not been enough....
Maybe...I wonder
If I would give in..give money for the drugs, the alcohol, your constant wants...would it be enough...
If I let you have sex with others would I be enough...
WHEN WILL I BE ENOUGH
our love story used to be once upon a time now its here we go again...
If fairytales happen why did ours become tragic...
Will you miss me
When im gone
When im no longer referred to as your wife
When the papers are finalized...
When I finally stop fighting for us..
Will you miss me?
I made mistakes i live with everyday but how does what I did twice compare to you 10 plus times...
I could say im sorry but ive done that constantly and nothing changes....
Do they make you happy?
Does them letting you do whatever you want make you feel free...
Maybe...maybe you'll always be chasing the drugs and the girls who buy or give it to you....
As sad as it may be our story is coming to an end where Harley leaves her Joker and never looks back.
Love is hard to find they say if you got someone worth fighting for fight but they never talk about what to do when the heartbreak is worse than the love they give....
I bid you farewell and best wishes...my new chapter starts..
Once upon a time but only with the children this time...
So long and farewell my friend
Let our love die like Romeo and Juliet
DREAMS FROM MY FATHER
Out of nothingness
Beneath the apparent certainty; lies a promise
Promise of a wonderful future; one of a kind
A made believe that the bushes will turn into flowers
A prophecy that my paths will become roads
Nexus of contradiction; this dreams lack strong foundation
When I awoke from it; I remembered nothing.
The good shall get better
All the best; the best wishes his son
To be better than the father is all the father hopes
To take on the dragons of fate; he prays
To carry on the family beyond the fortress of the clan
To leave the family footprints in the sands of time
All good hopes and wishes; if only dreams come true.
Efforts on efforts amidst the forces of nature
Always struggling to keep up with the struggles of life
Swimming against the tides in the sea of hustle
Making me think that my father might actually be a seer
He foretold that it won’t be an easy sail in the sea
All as he said has come to pass overtime with time
Upon reflections; this is my dream for my son.
Lordvip
After the flurry
My soul delights
Soft curves before me
Ice cream dreams
Shadows dancing and stretching
Defining infinite frozen sculptures
Ice diamonds
floating through the air
Glistening
Riding the shafts of pale sunlight
Landing on my nose
Blanketing my eyelashes
I capture them on my tongue
A frosty treat
A shiver up my spine
I wiggle my toes awake
Warmth in my belly caresses me
Surreal
This glorious tapestry before me
Silent beauty
Her dress of lace
Paper cutout high heels
A crown of icicles
Hugging myself now
A hole in my mitten
Allowing the magic
to seep into my heart
Wishing Happy Healthy Holidays to all
and best wishes for a Wonderful New Year !
You were one of the first of a very few
to welcome me here when I first joined Poetry Soup
and although I haven't really kept in touch
you're not alone, I rarely stay in touch with anyone much.
It has no reflection on you or on any of them.
I could never have asked for a more supportive and giving friend
than you, my dear friend Carolyn.
All I can say is that if I've ever offended you in any way, I do have an explanation.
It's the price you pay when you befriend someone who is prone to self alienation,
so I would hope that you not take my absence personally.
You're A Great Friend And You'll Always Mean Ever So Very Much To Me.
Dedicated to Carolyn Devonshire
With My Very Best Wishes Always
Never hindered by lock-down pressure height
summer altar date wafts love triumphant
vanquishing angst of scheduled wedding plight
tying hearts beating as one, so vibrant.
Surmounting tough attacks of ennui dart
engaged souls, awaiting marital vows
steadfastly nestled in prayer rampart
assured for life-building home to espouse.
Compliant to protocol enforcement
notwithstanding social distancing task
romance blazes, sealed with “I do” moment
obviously testified by joyed-face mask.
Cleaving* together now with God’s favour
they’re a couple His blessings to savour.
*Matthew 19:5 …For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh…
Congrats and Best wishes, Bro. Warren and Sis. Karen. I love you both in the Lord.

Sense of loss
By Michelle Morris
07/03/2021
The loved one you lost may no longer be here but they will always live on in your memories...
And that devastating pain that is screaming in your soul reminds you of how much they meant to you...
There is no escaping that sense of loss...
And in reality you may go on living as best you can but you will never be the same...
On a molecular level, something shifts in us when we deal with a loss of that magnitude...
It is important to remember that our loved ones would want us to thrive, not just survive, this trauma...
Your loved one will always be with you in spirit and memories, and you will hopefully find comfort in that, always...
Embrace your pain, face your loss, work through your feelings...
For you cannot go around it...
You have to go through it...
And your pain will soften and surrender to love in its deepest essence within your soul...
In time...
In truth...
In hope...
With faith...
With love...
With light...
