To Be a Man

I am a woman and I'm not trying to speak on behalf of men with my poem... But, I do know many men are struggling... Today more than ever... And I wanted my guy friends to know that I love and support them and that I don't expect them to be tough... I hope that they know they can be themselves and that needing help and speaking about your feelings isn't a weakness... Take care and best wishes... Be gentle with yourself and others... By Michelle Morris 10/11/2020 To be a man in a world turned upside down, Trying to support your family and keep your business around is a constant battle, especially when we're living scattered... To be a man in a male dominated society, Being expected to always stay strong - Never showing weakness to avoid being pounced upon... To be a man setting an example for his children, Trying to show integrity, feelings and reason; It's overwhelming to so often be criticised that you don't know how to be anymore in front of society's eyes... To be a man should only be a need to be yourself; finally free and able to ask for help; For we are all deserving of kindness, love, support and respect...
