SPRING OF SUBSTANCE
Adorable word drawing a rainbow of substance-- SPRING
Benumb snow-white cloak that drapes the earth,
charmed by strips of golden spotlight above blue skies
delicate cloak now being peeled to show
emeralds of nature: daring to model life
Footsteps ready to walk on warm green grassy ground
guided by cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we to chiff chaffs
hummed in chorus by swifts, mistrels and humble bees
Idyllic scents of daffodils and scilla swirls on mid-air...
Joyful Squirrels springing on loops of woods and rocks
kindles energy burst after their winter sleep.
Lodging everywhere the rising beauty of butterflies
Miles and miles you will see valleys and hills smile.
Nightingales: diva among birds share their lullabies.
Ox huge and strong that home flies now in the stall lies;
Painting bright is the seabird colony of puffins, shags and gulls
quieting your despair and muse for a stare.
Running cluster in the woodlands are bluebells,
seen enough, be a phenologist if you like!
taking notes when and where your first sight:
unfolding flowers, frogs, spawns and others.
Viral is the fun that leaps high during season of spring.
Wildlife a phenomenal broadway to the eyes!
Xanthic warm light will keep all acts alive
yielding an amazing breathing ride to anyone.

sa natamong nakaraan,
sa matatamong kinabukasan,
sa tinatahak na kasalukuyan

sa 'di mawaring kadahilanan--
malamang dahil may gusto ang puso
na ibigkas
'yun nga lang--

Scents of sea, historical townships and seafood
Thrilled like vacations not just a dinner destination.
Each trip to Chesapeake Bay staid that fine mood.
As we rode, my family's blend got on its finest silly
Making jokes, singing, bro and I loved Dad’s riddles.
Eyes all turned somber passing the barn site where
Destiny once heard JW Booth say, ‘useless, useless ...’
Crackers, hammers, picks, butter sat on brown paper with
Randomly scattered crabs piled high excited my family.
Although not novices, Dad would inspect our dissects,
Brag to Moma about how strong his shellfish genes
Swam, huh?
SEPTEMBER FALLS
See autumn begin in the cooling air of September
Every year that month arrives at summer’s ending
Perhaps for some, it’s time for one to remember
That each of the seasons has a message it’s sending
Every leaf that finally turns red or gold, then falls
Making a statement that the moment has begun
Bare branches above, as they obey nature’s calls
Each with their memories of a warm summer sun
Resigned now to be scattered by cooling breezes
Following in the footsteps of each passing season
And in the cold air, hints of a time that pleases
Leaving a bounty behind as it whispers its reason
Left alone again now to tie up all the loose ends
Soon it will be over when Winter’s chill descends

Ikaw'y ipinagdamot, wari ninakaw
Ng oras. Naubos buong limang buwan
Kay bilis, animo kidlat kang naparam.
Sa gayon ka tatamis na alaala,
Ay gayong dita rin sinikap kong bathin.
Dahil sa likod ng sibol nang paghanga,
"di ko nasabing, "Nawa ikaw ay akin!"
Ngayon, tila mga along nagbabalik
Ang mga araw ng tuwa kong nasapit.
