Premium Member Whispers In the Breeze

I hear soft whispers in the breeze
that try to tease my fantasies,
and in my mind love to appease,
my soul to please, my heart at ease.

My thoughts they wander far away
where sunlight’s ray and moonbeams play;
beyond the clouds in sky’s array,
a woman stays to light my day.

I feel that we have met before,
perhaps outdoor on distant shore
while standing by the ocean drawer;
these thoughts implore my heart to soar.

Her whispers say she feels my heart,
these thoughts impart right from the start
a feeling like some abstract art
that from my heart will ne’er depart.

These lovely thoughts my heart does please;
my reveries these moments seize,
and so there drifting through the trees,
in gentle breeze, these whispers tease.

Premium Member Autumn's Dead

Your breath morphs into a November ghost,
a spectral mist that swiftly dissipates.
And barren trees lament the loss of leaves,
as Autumn approaches, where Winter waits.

The wind whistles through the twigs and branches,
rattling the bare bones of the naked trees.
And sings a soulful dirge for Autumn's dead,
as the rivers and creeks begin to freeze.

Frost accumulates upon window panes,
creating frozen swirls of abstract art.
And dry leaves crunch and crackle underfoot,
as rutting bucks challenge their counterpart.

A spent sun slinks low in a teal-grey sky,
as Summer's late bloomers wither and die.

Bathroom Blues Blessings

There was a time when the taps used to shine,
and the porcelain basin with pomp and pride,
A font where the essential waters of life ran freely,
now blocked by the remnants of last week’s make-up,
Can’t tell if it’s Revlon or L’Oréal,
as limescale has instigated a military coup

Finished toilet rolls stacked in a corner,
hosting tufts of hair that escaped from lustrous manes,
The shower basin has become a ‘mini pool’,
with designer fresco mildew for added effect,
The floor a classic mosaic of hairpins and elastics,
abstract art?
Cotton wool balls upset they didn’t make the bin,
Unfortunately, no room for admission

My eyes widen to reflect a den of devastation,
How does beauty emerge from such organised chaos?
As I reflect on the last family conference,
a frugal attempt to initiate conflict resolution,
My thoughts are rudely interrupted,
from the waft of the toilet’s urgent plea,
“Please place me on top of the agenda this time”

Despair will not transport me to a tranquil place,
For I am responsible for how I overcome,
I close the door, I draw a long deep breath,
and count my blessings,
Thankful, that they, the young perpetrators,
continue to remain by my weary side,
in a somewhat unkempt but loving abode

Googling

Hanging out new to the scene
So often wonder what it means
As I sit in front of the worlds screen
Started in on ...Googling

I typed in a single word
Pressed enter for the Google search
Took me down the path absurd
Where all the lines were blurred

From there I ventured off the path
Wish I'd known there's no turning back
Marveled at the knowledge that I lack
Like how to whittle your own baseball bat

Just in case you're wondering
Midgets don't melt in the rain
Who doesn't think that that's insane
As I dive deeper into Googling

The art of bathing a Hindu rat
Skinning a two headed Siamese cat
The taking of the perfect nap
Standing up while keeping your lap intact

How to delicately pierce a Rhino's ear
Dressing up then down a deer
50 different ways a man can cheer
While toasting his favorite Micro beer

Abstract art using cotton balls
How to paint between the lines on a paisley walls
Teaching Yankees how the South says ya'll
Lost episodes of the show called Lost

Food served up on the worlds menus
Even specialties from Timbuktu
Why the sea is green and the sky is blue
As my googling madness continues

More art work this time with the jam of toes
How to pick your friends but never your friends nose
Cleaning of the house without a stitch of clothes
The whole time being careful with the vacuum hose

80's Hairbands I used to like
That now know what bald feels like
Making a homemade Hindenburg kite
One that lands this time

How to handle midlife like a man
Taking a survey of what you could have been
Raising Spider Monkey's in the comfort of your den
As I keep on Googling

I now find myself Googling out in front
As I'm Googling behind
Googling up as I'm Googling down
Google left and Google right
I've learned how to gargle Google
That's a well known Google fact
And if you don't believe me
You can to Google that

Premium Member Bewildering Beauty

Initially, it appears
Jackson Pollock's interspatial painting
"Ocean - Tribute,"
overtly oversteps the boundaries of abstract art.
And the eye struggles
to validate its bewildering beauty,
hidden amongst the dribbled droplets of paint!
But then, seemingly spontaneously,
the blobs and dapples of color
intermingle in purpose.
And you see a kaleidoscope of shapes
and forms merge and disperse
into limitless shifting patterns;
as your imagination
gains access to the artist's dream.
Unique to the beholder:
interpretations tap into the imagination,
to abstractly convey cemetery and fluid motion
in the natural cadence of chaos.
Beyond beautiful; it's breathtaking!

Premium Member Artist On Roof Top

You a fake yell from hot tin roof top
Nobody listens but you don’t stop
You pronounce you will make a great name
In high pitch voice you pine to proclaim.

You say there are colors in your eye
We all know it's nothing but a white lie
So you think you are a born artist
Such a strange creature doesn't exist.

You surmise your brush has Monet touch
But your trees are cluster of plumb crutch
Water of the grimy pond is ink opaque
You can’t even make semblance of fake.

When you gloat you’ve got Picasso flair
Abstract art drips on palllid paint layer
I see formless faces in warped cubes
As a pile of squeezed out color tubes.

Premium Member Butterflies In Flight

Earth's a planet of beauty and wonder,
hosting unique creatures, both big and small.
But butterflies are hailed among Nature's
masterpieces, as living works of art.

Caterpillars morph into butterflies
through the rebirth of metamorphosis.
And winged, phantasmagorical creatures,
of all colors of the rainbow, take flight.

Delicate silver and gold filigree
intricately gilds iridescent wings.
And purples, blues, greens, and countless colors,
create abstract art caught in the sunlight.

Mother Nature's a natural artist,
who takes her art to another level.
And, as a testament to her talent,
butterflies are uniquely breathtaking.

Art has a way to touch the heart,
Shades and tints play in sketchy start.

Lines and hues grow in swirls gone wild,
Thought pictures show the inner child.

Drawings wear wit in posture fine,
Yes bit by bit from unseen lines.

Joy knows a fire of restless quest,
Mood swings now sire that flashy zest.

Image comes through as ideas surge,
It's up to you to dare emerge.

Abstract art flings in contrast strange,
Pique hidden strings to puzzle range.

Change of seeing from mundane stuff,
From true being comes art enough.

See visual tact conflict with mind,
Brush strokes now act to reveal find.

Yet weird this gap where no thoughts swirl,
Watch craze that maps a bizarre world.

Impact now mouths colours and themes --
Drawings start out beyond mere scheme!

Premium Member Bold Strokes

Come October, I feel a nip in the air,
frosting my breath like contrails of smoke;
while gilded leaves start tumbling from the trees.
Overhead, a gaggle of honking geese
are fleeing Winter's approach:
joining the songbirds that have migrated south.
The Fall leaves are painted with bold strokes
of yellow, scarlet, fuchsia, gold, and orange:
inked by Jack Frost,
and sprinkled on the ground like confetti.
Amber and vermilion drip from the trees;
pooling into a crunchy sea
of colorful leaves: that the wind weaves,
into shifting swirls of abstract art.
One of Nature's boldest paintings,
Autumn steals one's breath away, instilling awe;
infusing Summer's death with Winter's birth:
a truly magical transformation to behold.

LOVE is ?

Is love, an essence, of flesh and skin
or a scent that's emitted, from within

Is it an impression, created by the heart
or a design, to be viewed, as abstract art

Is it something within all humans grasp
or a mental image, felt when people gasp

Is it's existence real, or just imaginary truth
an artificial attraction, held from our youth

Is it an inevitable desire, that embarrasses all
or a treasured goal, of kinship as we sprawl

Desire, Passion, Marriage, lessen loneliness within
but, affection lost, leaves you in a loveless skin

Is it a fleeting feeling, that wasn't meant to hold
or nurtured attraction, the oneness, as I'm told

Lust, Enthusiasm, Devotion, of intimacy with one
or hope of a life long friend, to share earths sun

a confession of confusion or a happiness unknown
feeling completed by Cupid's arrow when your alone

An intense, deep explosion, of your lust and desire
or that soothing relaxation, that's felt after the fire

Told long ago "It's what make the world go round"
Keep stoking that fire, till that arrow is downed
