The cockroach crawling inside a satin evil darkness
as one clown weeps into silken soft sensual feelings,
as a blinking starlight beacon awaits a tense message
of doubts from all living dreams becoming nightmares.
Bleeding trapped within a shadow’s eerie smile whilst
grinning through the hurt smiling at the joy cheering,
at twisted laughs with needles of pain, lust, passion
and gasping of a victim choking in deep-labored breaths.
Choking one heart now taken tragically away from us
with a nightshade vision as we blindly walk into the
dark night in the realm of the dead, forever gone now,
with sad ice-cold whispers playing aloud and so deeply.
A taste of Hell and a fool’s game of serious malediction
whilst cold whispers compel us ever so against the wind,
as a restless soul is cutting ice frozen in a time dreaming
of things past with hypnotic jewels of such a deepest beauty.
When little gestures that meant so much to us all, whilst lost
in a space-dark matter invading and pervading our lives now,
a mysteriously hot sulfuric fire burns down the mountainside,
as an ice-cold stream in the ocean now becomes a mystic dream.

Well, what can I tell you about both my names?
I'm not quite sure where I should start,
'Vivian' means 'lively' which raises a smile
to friends of this tired old fart.
It's not very common as names for men go,
and famous Vivians very few
Viv Richards the cricketer and Vivian Fuchs
the explorer, they're the only two.
My surname's from Derbyshire, Wirksworth, in fact,
all sweat and pickaxes and fire,
and I now don't think my forename is that odd
with an ancestor named Obidiah.
My forebears were lead miners, hazardous work
with poisonous ore and rock falls
and looking back over my family tree
I'm surprised that I'm here at all !

Once Man,
Nature’s forgiveness implored,
For
Crimes humanity has, against the environment
Committed
And
Sincerely, his serious concern expressed for the
Peril, the whole planet was in, because of
Man’s doing
Nature, attentively, listened to every word, Man,
Wished so much to say,
Then, turning towards him, with great emphasis
Declared:
“Worry not about me, my very dear child
For
Ample time to recover I would have, soon after
Your upcoming disappearance
Which
For long now, you, so thoughtlessly, have yourself
arranged!”

For a man of my age, I should no longer dream
Of pretty young fillies, quite naughty it seems
We don't lose the joy to gawk and to stare
When the sweet scent of female fills up the air
Sure hope I don't lose it, this wonderful feeling
While sneakily snatching a look I am stealing
Girls are aware of the scene they're creating
Of many great memories this sight is relating
The happiest times when we all were much younger
These precious memories haven't lost their thunder
When seeing an old codger hardly able to walk
Still straining his eyes, to stare and to gawk
That primordial instinct is never far away
It still hangs around till our very last day
So all my buckaroonies please do take heart
At one hundred years old it can still joy impart
Trust me I'm honest as the day is long
Life still keeps singing its same old sweet song
Obsessed... I guess you could say that I am
Gonna keep on a-gawking for as long as I can

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow
Yesterdays are gone away
my sights are on tomorrow.
Memories like scars remain
what used to be my sorrow.
I made my way through shadows
that gathered dark as night.
Times I spent down on my knees
I made it to the light.
So much still waiting down the road
so much I still don't know.
But I believe He's with me
no matter where I go.
I lift my eyes toward heaven
clouds drifting through the air.
Still I can see the Son shining.
I see Him standing there.
No more time for me to waste,
no longer at a loss.
The time has come I must make haste
He's no longer on the cross.
His words are true He brought me through
His love He keeps on sending.
Broken hearts of yesterday
His love keeps right on mending.
I know not what tomorrow holds
be it great joy or sorrow.
But this one thing I'm certain of.
I know Who holds Tomorrow.

Happy New Year!
Dec 30 2015
A CORNISH SONNET
Fireworks explosions and toasts of good cheer,
celebrate with kisses at midnight's stroke.
Joyous welcome of another New Year,
couples all dressed up and drinking champagne.
Wife at my side, I'm a lucky old bloke,
walking the beach while the world goes insane.
We needed a reason to celebrate
in a secluded place where we could think.
So we chose an island to contemplate
what life might hold for us in the new year.
Marriage in shambles, nearly on the brink
of losing all the love that we hold dear.
Fireworks explosions, and toasts of good cheer.
We needed a reason to celebrate.

Pierce my heart
Taken me granted, all my love,
you don't bother much,
Was so sure, from very first day,
those moments we intensely shared...
All that was mine, is now yours,
denial now, will be unfair,
Lost everything, was not my destiny,
in memories I live today, how far....
Thoughts depress, I must confess,
was a fool, from that first day,
Tears once kissed my rosy cheeks,
rosy red, rosy once, have dried today,
Why did you do so.....
What better will you ever get,
get up now, see me now, to later regret,
For I am the one, I am the one,
everything for you, anything for you......
Lived for you, can die too,
have a needle sharp, edge aim at me,
Cut me through, pierce my heart,
Test my wild rush for you,
and bleed my passion through and through......
See your name splashed over floor,
Pierce my heart, further squeeze,
You now have a stony heart,
why have you become so hard....
Burn me, chop me, crush me, tear apart,
Oh your laughter makes my soul weep
You are not the one.....
You cannot be the one.....

I loiter now with fond employ,
Discern somehow the path of joy.
I linger here with feel and form,
Prolong good cheer with feisty norms.
I figure out the way of zest,
Passion can shout in simple jest.
I struggle then with ego's trend,
Know where and when the curved road bends.
I desire more the lines that show,
Stray thoughts galore dilute the flow.
I listen hard to find the spark,
A struggling bard seeks a new mark.
I imprint thought that surge strong feel,
Allow the plot to nudge reveal.
I simply wait for that sure flow,
Silence now baits that magic show.
I gather now the straying strains,
Feel words endow a message plain.

First Place
Ever notice when kiddies play
They pretend they're in a war
They learn from us what seems to be
Quite natural to our core
The future of our planet Earth
Is in the hands of every child
Let's try our best to guide them through
The perils with a smile
A positive take on life it seems
Helps reach that distant goal
We don't need tools of war no more
Just peace in every soul
Treasure our kids and nurture them
To change the times ahead
And make this place much better than
The years of fear and dread
It can surely be done if all of us
Just listen to our hearts
Let's forge a path with our kiddie's help
And make a brand new start!
