Notes About The Poem

The Red the White and the Blue

~The Red The White And The Blue~
(Free Verse)

Let's all stand by the red
The white and the blue,
There she stands in all her
Glory
And in all her colors so
Proud

She may be burnt and by some
People torn apart
But there she still stands
very, very proud,
In the houses, in the buildings
Flying always,
Always untouched in the wind

And in the hearts of the brave
The proud and the free,
She's much loved by me and
All of us
That believe in her cause and
Her dreams,
So she will always stand in
Our hearts, no matter what,
In all her radiant colors of
Red, white and blue....
Flying higher and very proud
In all the hearts of the brave
And the free,
And all the Ones that we love
And defend Liberty.

Way to Go "D"!! A most wonderful write indeed!! Reading your poem here reminded my of a very famous movie with Jimmy Cagney from 1941: "Yankee Doodle." As a veteran, for me, your write here does strike a very deep chord of emotion and faith when one thinks about what "The Red The White And The Blue" actually stands for in the history of the USA. The USA means so much in helping to bring stability and balance to the troubled world we all live in. God Bless You for your write!! 7/FAV, Best!!Gary

This poem is an unabashed declaration by the author that this is her America, home of the brave and the free, and the best place on earth to be. Emile.
