The Depth of Sympathy

true compassion and understanding
buried in the core of our essence-
affinity and mercy free us from all
the loss we have been damaged from;

and -

i choose to be sympathetic;
a woman wearing hands of healing grace,
genuine appreciation for the kindness
                       others bestow unto me

“guide me with your angelic light,
may your wings be my sight…”

has humanity failed?
too many don't take the time
to comfort one another in times
of turmoil;
(i fear the worst is yet to come)

     sigh…

benevolence is the key to sensitivity,
and i shall reside in the depth of sympathy

Premium Member The First Love

The first time we had met
in the drizzle of the setting sun,
your flushing face I painted
on the blank canvas of mind.
Your parted lips alluring,
your dove eyes enticing,
flashed in dreams designed for me.

In the tempest of time
these dreams blew away
with the squall on sail.
Rising from the debris of wreckage,
I set sail on a new sea,
the uncharted course guided by
the beacon of flickering memory.

I reached the shore entranced,
the drifted dreams returned
with your face on moonbeam.
Time couldn’t ravage my longing,
for eternal is the first love.

To turn your mind

                                  and thoughts back in time

                                      Much has crumbled

                              and something will stand forever

                                 Cobweb, dust, rust and blood

Visible signs of the apostle's deeds

                                         Countless miles

                                     Remembering the man

left behind in a cycle -

                                    in the backyard of death

                                       This stirs my curiosity -

the identity of the dead is unknown

                                    Thoughts act like an echo

Because is so deliberately naive -

to believe things were better before

                                    A story is lived forwards

                                   and interpreted backwards

                                       Blur of old memories

                                         even in possession

                                      of a sharpened glance

The sound of church bells ... far away

                                         The door is sealed

FRAGRANCE OF LOVE

   From deep within my heart
    I can’t let myself apart
    from you! My Darling,
    craving my yearnings!

I am drinking desires of dormant dream
     with emerald emotion rushing extreme,
     ever flowing in opulence
     towards your ecstatic essence.

    I always catch the scent:
    Whenever you had sent.
     I can’t help,
      I can’t escape
      but restore in my self.

Your love I can never forget
but honor as my best asset.
       Lovely life now to allure.
        Even if death to face
        Happily I will embrace:
         Rest assured.
         Not to repent
as I have had my achievement.

Those golden days, again I wish to capture,
Still sending romantic aroma in random rapture.
I am bound to follow your fragrance.
Compelled to sink in your deep dense glance
that embowered me absolute in cosy corner not by chance.
To leave that nook, I neither do wish nor do venture.

I am flooded in your ardent amour
sensing your glory and grace yet in glamour.
No way but simply to surrender
and to float in odour of love lavender
settling in abyss of your soul, serene sublime
humming melody of love in style of hymn.

Come, Let's Give It a Try

Come, let's give it a try

Every life is soaking
with autumn color
Why shall we
stay shabby
Said she

He looked the other way

They had filed a divorce petition

I have fixed an appointment
with a counselor
She says
We can resolve our differences

He looked out of the window
Clouds were painting

They were walking
to the therapy centre

A car ran over
the toes of a little girl

Both rushed
Held her with their arms
As if she was their daughter
The girl clasped them tight
Both smiled
Hummingbirds whistling
I love you
Both said simultaneously

The Conspiracy Theory

Peter says to Paul
Let's climb the wall
and peer the other side,
Is pasture greener and wide?

Abdul says to Rasool
I am nobody's fool,
Which side of the bread is butter
or burnt, I know better.

Jacob says to Rufus
Why do they all make fuss,
We'll inherit them all—
The pasture, the bread and the wall.

Sunjay says to Vijay
Let's join this fray,
Take their salt and sweat
Until our needs are met.

Says Bruce Lee to Chang Lee
Let's follow them and see,
Claim our piece of the pie
We'll beg, steal or simply buy!

God gives me more love
Than my heart can hold
He whispers joy to my soul
And hope to my heart

God answers my prayers
With assurance that he’s there
Awaiting my questions
Willing to provide answers

God gives me a new day
Sunshine lights my way
He fills me up with thanks
For all that He has given

God sent me His Son
To die on the cross
And then to rise again
The resurrection has come

God saved me from hell
Thanks to Him all is well
He gave me a new life
Without any worry or strife

Premium Member Not One Cares

I coil in bed as twilight swirls in dim of hours
Raking this womb , pained by angst --
While I transcend earth’s noise , I am alone
In gilded light of an evening so restless--
Hushing mild whiffs, bleak and intolerable :

Then, led back to soiled pillows
While dusk bathes a soul without sweet quiet;
As floats of sobs wail for some comfort
That my wails reach heaven... yet not one cares
For a lone soul needing a warm embrace
On this day, our tenth year of togetherness.

How the chill pierces the marrow
When all that this moment needs is a voice,
A human link, just this time... but then, no one cares

STILL TRUDGING…..

TRUDGE….TRUDGE….TRUDGE….
DAY……AFTER…… DAY
fueling the fires of experience
laying waste the fears of failure
laying stone upon stone of truth’s foundation.

STILL TRUDGING…..

through shifting nuances of doubt
itinerant thoughts mindlessly meandering
through the embers of experience
ego fire walking on smoky memory.

STILL TRUDGING….

over the peaks of euphoria’s joy
into the valleys of serenity’s silent calm
wading through the cold truths of mountain streams
laughing at the voices of canyon-less echoes

STILL TRUDGING

through the vagaries of life’s uncertainties
looking to the future
wary of the past
living in the present
leaving footprints on hourglass sands.
