Notes About The Poem

- the Imprints of Time -

To turn your mind

                                  and thoughts back in time

                                      Much has crumbled

                              and something will stand forever

                                 Cobweb, dust, rust and blood

                             Visible signs of the apostle's deeds

                                         Countless miles

                                     Remembering the man

                                      left behind in a cycle -

                                    in the backyard of death

                                       This stirs my curiosity -

                               the identity of the dead is unknown

                                    Thoughts act like an echo

                                 Because is so deliberately naive -

                               to believe things were better before

                                    A story is lived forwards

                                   and interpreted backwards

                                       Blur of old memories

                                         even in possession

                                      of a sharpened glance

                             The sound of church bells ... far away

                                         The door is sealed
