My lighted island,
Hidden somewhere behind the red rocks,
Somewhere between the jingling of bangles
As I reach out to you.
My lighted island,
Lies behind the rusted walls of the blue city,
Among the trembling of my long earrings.
My lighted island,
Winks at me from the colors of the bustling market,
I find it in the strong scent of fish,
In the muffled noise that swallows us whole.
My island,
Is the color of my skirt’s folds in the wind,
Imaginative as a dance,
And warm as mint tea.

there’s a light that shines
mist the wet skies laminates
sparks drip drops rainbows

sprinkles glitters of
colors bright sparkles delight
shines light therefore bright

Untamed ebony hair cascaded,
some swirled in sensual squall,
some laced the lattice of lust
on your ivory forehead canvas,
engraving the contours of charm,
configured the captivating last visage .
The dove eyes danced in the blue sea
on the melody waves of fervor,
the eyelids fluttered with butterfly
with image of your last dream on its wings,
floated in the folding air of yearning,
lest it drifted away in wilderness wind.
The crimson cheeks suffused to shine
with the radiance of blooming rose,
spread the seductive scent in zephyr,
caressing me with the touch of longing,
created the colors of glowing glamour,
put on your last portrait I painted.
The rose buds unfurled on luscious lips
with the lilac luster of sunburst dawn,
the mesmeric allure sparkled
like pearls of dew on petals of pink rose,
flashed the spark of your last smile,
lighting up the lone lane of my memory.

December brings out the artist in me
When we decorate our Christmas tree
Spacing the lights out just so
Hanging bulbs that glisten and glow
It’s a masterpiece every year
Creating memories precious and dear
I love to sit and sip a cup of tea
Admiring the brilliant artistry
Scent of fir tree always reminds
This the season for joyous times
For goodwill and peace on earth
Celebrating our Saviors birth

From across the park I see the house,
Open windows spilling pools of light
Onto the wide wraparound porch.
As I walk nearer, I take a look inside.
On the walls, framed paintings
And a cluster of family photographs,
Over-stuffed furniture, a little worn,
Sleepy dog on a towel on the chair.
Through the side window I see
Shelves crammed with stacks of books,
A daybed, cluttered desk with a computer,
Drawing table, a rack of supplies.
Candles on the dining room table,
Mahogany and glass china closet,
Old fashioned sideboard with
A slightly tarnished silver tea service.
Upstairs, lights glow behind shades,
But in the kitchen a cheery brightness!
Someone moving, talking, carrying a plate
And laughing at some unknown joke!
What sort of people live in this house?
I think I know - comfortable, unpretentious
People, real, who live and love and care.
Heart full, I tread the steps up to my porch!

LIGHTED IN SPIRALS
Rewrite the stars,
Strip the firmaments,
Empty the stacks of rain
as the world moves slow mo'
in a spherical spirals of clouds.
Let brightness confine darkness
till the days are profitably used-up,
Then nights can steal day's glory;
Spin us all for the quickie,
Let destinies actualize speedily,
Then the world can only be ours
as we ravel in universe lighted spirals.
Did you think no one can rewrite the stars?
The answer lies in the belly of imagination.

In the difficult times of pandemic like these,
I’m restrained to do things that I’m used to doing.
Life has lost its rhythm in the chaos of uncertainty,
but I go on getting spontaneous help in plenty.
In isolation disconnected from the outside world,
I don’t spend the tough time in dull desolation.
I get calls from my neighbors and their helping hands,
in appreciation I’m overwhelmed by their kindness.
How long these trying times will last I’ve no idea,
but they won’t let my fragile morale plummet low.
Even if black clouds disappear from my sky some day,
the priceless debt to all these people I can’t repay.
I realize the grace of God is bestowed through humans,
lifting my splintered spirit from the abyss of misery.
As the mind is permeated by the darkness of despair,
in the sanctum of my soul God’s blessing lights the lamp.

An endless journey I took
to find you beyond the darkness of illusion,
searched for you in the maze outside,
but the path ended at the edge of time,
on the precipice of despair.
The pursuit abandoned
in the labyrinth of confusion,
I returned home disenchanted,
discovered a new door inside unlock,
leading to a roofless room,
opening to the cosmic aura,
and in the lighted stillness of bliss
I found you defined for me.

Dusk passes by,
darkness falls,
there once was a time when
the dark crept fear within
creepy creatures and evil spirits made bones shiver
That was when the fear within
was one to loose a thing near.
Now that the dark and light seem of
no delight in making me quiver,
mind hooks with the darkness,where
the darkest fears take a ride, where
tears of life take a hide behind shadows, where
cry of heart buried in the silence of land.
The darkness where peace hovers than
the light that ignites hatred.
The silence of night can never be broken
so is the darkness of minds
we know not what the dark minds have,
but they make bones shiver to graves.

Look up not down
Take off that frown
Things always look better in the light
Be aware of your positions
Those choices you make
Things are offend hidden in the dark
So turn on the light of wisdom
Too see your walk through life

You are unseen but your view
I view on the surface of my heart
Believe on me believe in my heart
Real love gives real pleasure sweet heart
After ancient period I found you again
Now be the part of my life
Be my life be my gain
I want to win your heart
Just open your beautiful eyes
And show me view of real rise
I am dreaming dream of your
And want to touch your love and heart
You are soft like a flower
Come to me and be my part
Now the time need your appear
Come a view this lighted world

Since birth we fear the darkness. We wear what it contains. We fear the shadows.
But what is dark without light? can we not have a shadow without a candle bright?
Darkness absence of light creates
Shadows our own form imitates
Don't fear absent illumination, give darkness a chance
don't run from your shadow but invite it to dance

My heart burst into flaming love
Burning memories there forever
Your touch branded eternally on my spirit
I've breathed worthless air until you
Now I sit here missing you
Trapped within this mortal existence
This oxygen continuing my loneliness
