Anchored On the Shore

It seems
the longer I wait
on this dry shore
the farther you get
as I watch you sail
away
from my place
on this dry shore;

the winds pick up
and your sails unfurl
and with every breath I lose
watching you drift away
a gust of wind
sends you with blessings
of wasted breaths;

and I see you still
distant as you are
going to that place
I dreamt for you,
a place that grows farther still
as I dream for you
grander things
and grander places
that you will visit;

And on currents
that seem to flow
to the beating in my chest
you sail farther still
and with every dream I breathe
you sail farther yet
and you’re so far away now
from where I am
on this dry shore;

and I wonder if things would have been different
had I not sent you away
and kept you here
on this shore
where I can still see you
no matter how far you sail
from this shore
that you have never left
and I have never left.

I Will

The chance of ridicule rears yet again
Never once more shall I meet with disgrace
No matter what they say I will reign
On top the podium’s paramount place

Can’t be fazed by the loudest commotion
Nothing can get in the way of my track
As a dream bound train I’m set in motion
Going the distance and not turning back

Passion for the game keeps me alive
Never forgetting what I want is the key
Trust me there is no one who will strive
More to reach their true potential than me

Don’t try to get between my dream and I
No matter the obstacle it can’t hold me
Cannot jump but I promise I will fly
Above all men one day, you’ll see

More crippled than the average man
Created without strength or skill
But as long as I believe that I can
All I have to do is say I will

I will

27 Questions

i wake in the morning with hopes and dreams,
but i thought you only dream when you sleep?
what do you feel when you sleep?
do you think about life?
do you think you are the 1 lying there so helplessly?
do you even dream at all?
or do you just wake realizing you have been awake?
do you ask yourself why?
why you always sleep in the night?
why you wake in the morning?
is it natural?
or are you supposed to do it cos you are supposed to do it?
do you think about your life as a rolling stone?
or do you think that the world is full of hopes and dreams?
do you really think there is a land full of milk and honey?
do you think all those going to school end up becoming what they dreamed of
becoming?
how would you fell when you lost 5 of your friends in a year like i did?
do you think you are next?
do you give up life cos you know that one day you will pass on?
or do you hope to live on?
is that a bible in your hands?
do you read them?
do you think about heaven?
do you believe in it?
do you think about the creator?
do you think he is real?
do you? do you? do you?
YOU KNOW THE ANSWER BUT YOU CAN'T SAY THEM.

It Was Just a Dream

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
HOW HAPPY I COULD BE

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
HOW IN LOVE I WAS

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
LAYING NEXT TO YOU

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
LOVING YOU ALL THE TIME

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
HAVEING A FAMILY WITH YOU

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
ABOUT ALL THAT TIME WE SPENT TOGETHER

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
HAVING YOU BY MYSIDE

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
GOING OUT TOGETHER

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
ABOUT ALL THE THINGS WE DID TOGETHER

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
HOW GOOD YOU MADE ME FEEL

IT WAS JUST A DREAM ,
HOW YOU MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS ON TOP OF THE WORLD

I Dream In Poetry

I dream in Poetry
Not in black and white
Sometimes I write them in my sleep
My muse is a creature of the night

I dream in rhyme
And count syllables too
I dream in Limericks
And also in Haiku

I sometimes dream in color
But I always dream in poetry
In my dreams
Poetry sets me free

A Dream Is

A dream is like a River it never ends
But may bend
Dreams can come true
If you believe they do
We all have dreams
With many different streams
Some are big, some are small
But if you want that dream give out a call
Be what you want to be
And let everyone see
That a dream is a wonderful thing
Which will make you sing
And have a ring
So dream a wonderful dream

For a Dream

For a dream. How many have died? How many survive to reach it? Mind full of crucial
decisions. For it, we choose it, and make it religion. For a dream

American pie sliced in a billion directions. Doing dirt or working a regular. Got to get it or
settle for less. NEVER. For a dream.

Knowledge, sports entertainment, political, religion, and business engagement. Selling your
soul to get your worth out of this game we call life. For a dream.

Money, sex and power. Money can devour every thought you envision. Sex is now profitable
gain but what is the true price paid. Power over all, power over none, power is fleeting and
disappears like the setting of the sun. For a dream.

Nowadays got to make it do what it do. Stand up or see life from the rear view. It's always
20/20. For a dream.

Dream chasing, forgetting all family and friends. Dream chasing, forgetting all you were
taught to begin with. Dream chasing, end with a blaze of glory, step up and rewrite history's
stories. For a dream.

Floating With the Waves of the Melody

Floating with the waves of the melody
With smile as I fly above my past
Embracing the best memories!
That we had Wish they were here!
Now!
With the person in that memory here by my side
But that would have to be a dream
For in dream, even in a dream the person
Shall be missing from the dream
But the music is too loud for me to remember
And the past is too vast
The past was too sad!
But now!!
I’m happy
Floating with the waves of the melody

The American Dream

Sometimes I cry,
Remembering America when it was a baby,
It had so much aptitude and hope,
Like Lucifer we have fallen from the heavens,
The America dream was a haven,
Now tarnished it becomes a nightmare,
Lingering in the darkness
Sometimes I cry,
Thinking of this inane war,
Knowing that it will devour us all,
We have become acrimonious,
Butchering ourselves in the process
I cannot enjoy the warm spirit of the sun,
Foreboding that one day the sky will be covered in obscurity,
By the ashes of our soul,
Sometimes I cry,
Knowing the American dream is gone,
Once a baby now a man transformed into the devil’s apprentice,

Soon

Again, there will be water - Soon!
In sleep - the deaf silence
reminded me - last night
a leaf withered...
It reminded me of the vase
In which we were the three of us
Dreaming a dream with dew
Sipping from the month of May...
...and little by little my stem
withered in distress
and my painful leaves
found an excuse in Death...

Again, there will be water - Soon!
With little, gentle handfuls
the Life's cup is filling
with crystals of desire
I dream a hopeful dream
regenerating roots
There is the water - plenty
and Oxygen enough...

Dream

I dream a perfect life
My life wishes, simply
It has been a waste to dream
Nothing can be real

I dream of a good life
I have plenty of friends that care
I have a life to spend
But this is just the beginning

I have been living a lie
A pathetic way to begin every journey
The world will never be the same
This is the end, of a new beginning

So Many Dreams

My dream of slipping slowly
In between the sheets
My heart is hurting totally
As now I have no treats

I have a dream of falling
And its not in love
That dream can have me stalling
Can I rise above

Some dreams can really hurt you
While others cause no stress
Dreams are made to run through
Can dreams be your minds guess

To be so full of dreams
Is very open minded
Let out all your screams
So that you won’t be blinded

We all have many dreams
Some to fall in love
My love in all my dreams
Fits me like a glove

Perfection

Propelling forward through the night,
A simple, simple deed,
A dream of happiness inside,
Is just what we all need.

An icon of perfection,
Cast upon the wall,
We try to reach the point of idol,
Until the very day we fall.

Why live as a copy,
Of what's already done?
When you can prove yourself as you,
And show you've really won.

Our dreams of this perfection,
Will soon come crashing down,
Her beauty's not so flawless,
She's nothing without her crown.

Desire is the drug of life,
Not pot or meth or speed,
Desire kills what most cannot,
Without the notice of what we need.

Our icons lead desire,
Controlling our very minds,
Slow is the process that kills us all,
Through our very souls it winds.

If you dream of this perfection,
Just know you shouldn't so,
The drug is inside us all,
Although it doesn't show.

Propelling forward through the night,
A simple, simple deed,
A dream of happiness inside,
Is not what we all need.

Life In Prospective

when you take life in prospective
and look at it from every side
then you come to realize
that everything happens for a reason
like that lover you're missing
that left you broken hearted and confused
you know the one that left you laying in the rain
like wet puppy on punishment
ususally i choose to look at reality
rather than imagination
for fantasies only raise my hopes
but when i do dream
i dream of beautiful things
like finally releasing
the pain and sorrow on my heart
that weighs on my chest like a wooden cross
or i dream of finding that perfect one
mr. right
someone who takes me for me
when you put life in prospective
and look at it from every side
then you come to realize
that everything happens for a reason
that happiness only comes through
pain and sorrow first
later leading to triumph and victory
i'm just simply waiting on my day

A Dream Escapes

A dream escapes my
grasp of time,
I float, I float, I float blind.
Through kaleidoscope
scars I bear,
my fears mingle with
rattlesnake snares,
and ticking, spinning
clockworks chime and chime,
like death’s rasp, and repetitious
rhyme.

I’ll lend you these thoughts:
I keep them in a glass vile,
and I’ll wait for the best
moment to
shatter.
They’ll then ponder over
the matter,
as if they were sadder!
And say,
“What an accident, she was forgotten!”

But I dream, I dream of the dead.
Their dark whispers haunt
my books.
And I want to give them looks,
I want to tell them I feel.
And that I too see in hues
of vivid memory.
