It can even be misconstrued as ... A.I.
Mayhaps 'Creation', hm ... read it again.
I know Adam was chosen to lead off in that direction and all those after him--and nobody said stop, not even after the planet Mars, a name attributed a deity.

Jerusalem grant stemmed
Bethlehem be condemned

What kind of God He is
having no teachers His

hm?

The shores of Galilee
sea Peter faith fell he

Galilee be Dead Sea
Peter sunk not to be

A Calvinist earn claim
Horeb like Sinai same

Divergence flanks said he
East West faces they'd be

Eden's Garden not His

God name no Earth places
Termed from human races

A GREATER LOVE

A greater love, a holy kiss,
     one like the lyrics:
i feel the earth move under my feet
i feel the sky come tumbling down, tumbling down****

the Spirit of God, his breath —
knocks you to your knees.
there is no greater thing than this.

anguished hands bleed
in torturous black and blues,
never expectant of good news.

faith parts hands, rises them like balloons,
takes the lead off our muddy boots.
we are free to seek, free to move
and praise takes us higher and higher.

heavy-hearted Peter, denied Jesus three times
and three times “no greater friend than this”
asks Peter, “Do you love me?”

we so want to know we’re loved.
agape-love, a higher love —
a holy kiss.

Baseball and Beer and a Beautiful Woman

Baseball and beer and a beautiful woman

Baseball and beer
and a beautiful woman
Tonight, such a
wonderful date

Two teams are playing,
while one love we're sharing,
who cares who is up
at the plate

Her team gets a hit
and I can't help but smile,
seeing the look
on her face

The batter starts running,
he hopes for a single
while I begin rounding
first base

Holding her tight,
as we kiss between pitches,
keeping an eye
on the score

I slide into second,
my heart quickly beating
here with the one
I adore

"Stee-rike, you're out!"
I can hear the ump yelling,
the shortstop just went
down in three

I pull her in close
all the while I am thinking,
I'm glad he's not
yelling at me

Now to third base,
oh her skin soft and tender,
the infield, the lights
up above

I can see home,
as I lead off a little,
then dart in a sprint
to her love

Crossing home plate
is a magical feeling,
breathless the two
of us cheer

A beautiful woman,
an evening of baseball,
and let's not forget
about beer

Heartache

MY HEART HAS BEEN BROKEN, SHATTERED LIKE GLASS
MY SOUL HAS BEEN MISS GUIDED LEAD OFF ITS PATH

EACH NEW LESSON BECOMES HARDER TO LEARN
LOVE IS A FLAME OF FIRE, STAND TOO CLOSE, AND YOU'LL GET BURNED

THE DOORS THAT FREE ME EMOTIONALLY THEY REMAIN CLOSE
YOU CAN FIND ME IN THE GARDEN OF THE WILTED ROSE

EACH PETAL IS A MEMORY SLOWLY FADING TO BLACK
THE PAIN CONSTANTLY REMINDS ME WHERE YOU'RE AT

JUST A THOUGHT OF YOU WAGES A WAR IN MY MIND
HEARTACHE HAS BEEN AMONG US SINCE THE DAWN OF TIME!

''Frigid Mind''

Lost in haze, floating in endless absence of body.
Awaken in direct sight of pearl white gates.
Lead off to visions of my mothers' face.
She calls''Reach for me baby.''
Longing for her hand,my stance of no control slips.
I fall into darkness.
Lifting up in bed,I shiver cold from sweat.
If not real?My tears would not exist.

What a Game

The stance of the batter
the pitcher like a hungry hawk eying it's prey
keenly with roving eyes checking those on base
the sun beats down, smells and sounds fill the air
the pitcher begins to prepare
he doesn't seem to notice
the sizable lead off the player on first has taken
some root for the coming instance
some try to warn of the impending danger
wait
the wind up begins
the player on first has already said his farewell
the moment seems to pause
so many eyes focused
the pitcher turns to react
the player slides
we all anticipate different scenarios
my friend,my friend
what a game

Words Like Poison

Words are always flowing through my mind like a poison
Down my spine
You slip your hand
Purely physical
Then in my brain
Your touch
Gives me shivers
Something you can’t touch

I’m pretty much untouchable
Subliminal
not imminent
limited to touch
I hate you so much
bastard draggin me down
But only so far
Do I fall
Till I rise up again
Stronger than before

Words flowin thro me
Like a potion meant for motion
Can’t stop the movin
Once things get groovin
And we get lovin
Gotta keep on
goin

The untouchable won’t go to waste
What the eyes can see
Glory comes of these things

You’re afraid to be weaker
But that’s what you are
So I guess you’re just afraid
No one can lead off my path
I’m too strong for you to slave me
Slave me in your mind
You’ll never have me for real.
