Premium Member The Keyboard Trembles

I sit
Fingers poised
The keyboard trembles

IT waits
Secretly spying
Anticipating
My words

Incontinently alliterative
Dashing ahead
Stalking
Hesitant fingertips

IT is helpless
In the battle
To outwit the witless

IT is a mimic
A naked mime
Seeking a voice
A barefoot tap dancer
Lacking a heel toe rhythm

That I
A poet
Dare to challenge

As I sit
Fingers poised
Caressing the keyboard

Premium Member The Keyboard Ant

As, at a keyboard ant, I idly stare,
I wonder, is either of us really aware
of each other's conscious sphere,
though both of us are together, here.
Wherever he walks, he picks a letter.
I'm sorry, reader - I can do no better.

The majestic crumb under my keyboard

oh, crumb beneath my keyboard key
your like bread but not like tea
I saw you once last Friday night
you glowed like beige electric light
your crusty soul is effervescent
like soup that joined a family crescent
your melancholy little face
has linty dreams of outer space
I poked you with my favorite pen
you ran away like 7 men
you scooted left, you scooted right
then shouted nothing in the night
my heart became a velvet spoon
it sang at noon beneath the moon
your fragrant silence hurt my toe
although my toe was down below
o crumb. my crumb my desks delight
you haunt my snacks with snacky might
a sandwich died to let you be
now you live rent free under E
the laptop fan began to roar
it blew you toward my bedroom door
you rolled beside a dusty sock
then married it beside a clock
the clock said tick, the sock said blue
the crumb said " I am missing you"
I cried one tear in my exam
then wrote your name upon a yam
so, sleep dear crumb in dusty doom
beside the dust bunny in my room
the world may laugh, the chairs may fight
but you dear crumb, you take flight

And on Keyboard

My favorite story in the news,
Which likely garnered many views,
Involved a Swedish man and creature
In a human-interest feature.

Mattias Krantz, a young musician,
Used his chops and intuition
To teach an octopus to play
A piano in a clever way.

He purchased Takoyaki from
A market, thinking he’d become
The only keyboardist to use
Some tentacles to play the blues.

With bribes of crab to strike the keys,
This octopus learned how to please
And hit some notes just like a star
As Krantz strummed nearby, on guitar.

I read the tale of this duet,
A human and his ocean pet,
But you should go the extra mile –
The video will make you smile.

As I Slam Arthritic Hands Into A Broken Keyboard, Nobody Can Hear Me Screaming

In a rather egotistical
and pathetic attempt
to immortalize myself,
in something I lost,
everything.

And now that I’ve burned
all of my bridges and I’m drowning,
the only thing I have left
to do is work.

And it's not working.

And the only ones
praising my work
are little kids,
the same age I was
when I broke everything.

Lucky me.

I watch them do
the same foolish things,
reaching for pointless dreams,
immortalizing themselves
for no one and nothing.

What I wouldn’t do
to have something,
and what I wouldn’t give
for something
worth saying.

Empty words
look prettier
when they’re
written in blood.

And trust me,
it’s dripping
straight out of

my pen tip
and into my lungs.

I wish that
instead of pneumonia
I had amnesia.

Maybe then,
I could forget about
all of this.

Prayerful Hood

Like Merlin, we graze
At thoughts limitless,
Benign souls scribbling,
Keyboards inspired,
 Or so it seems,
Faith doubts and believes,
Love's days dreaming,
Stars, the moon, our muse,
Makes our happy hearts,
Okay poets!

Keyboard Courage

"Online, I'm so bold,"
Then speechlessness meets your eyes,
Real words, fear takes hold.

Scribbling,
Writer's cafe,
Coffee breath, gal pals, yah!
Keyboard pixie society,
Smiling!

A Keyboard Omen

Modern world with modern modems,
AI, Wi-Fi, modern day totems,
keyboard nostalgia, a typewriter App,
mind that modern knowledge gap,
discord, discourse, modern day omens.

People reveal the contents of their hearts.
Drip by painful drip.
It takes courage to tell the world what ails them.
What hurt them-stomped them down.
How they are in the process of healing.
Climbing back up that brutal mountain, called self-doubt.
Frayed hope-sliding back down -getting back on route.
A million questions slung in the face.
What is God anyway? Who are the demons?
What are all these strange forces in between?
Major decisions to be made, crossroads, if you will.
Which cells to nurture-which ones to kill.
Life is their brushfire; they must sprint straight into it.
Dodge around it and they'll slip over the edge.
So, while they drip vulnerable things from their heart into the cold world.
Some keyboard troll kneads the hurt into their plaything.
A flaccid attempt at humor, or to make themselves feel supreme?
All at the sufferer's expense.
These trolls are nothing but keyboard pigs.
Rooting for another truffle of their endless cowardice.

A soft melody drifted from the keyboard
A catchy tune with rhythm and rhyme
she tickled the keys as she played each chord
A song flowed from her fingertips so sublime

 A saxophone player joined in
and the two instruments entered a soulful sphere,
Beautiful rhythms in a musical spin
 A soothing melody to hear

I closed my eyes as the music flowed
I anticipated each note and refrain,
In this duet of melodic gold,
I wanted to hear it again and again

"To play a wrong note is insignificant, to play without passion is inexcusable"
                                                                                  Beethoven

Hands above the keyboard, flexible fingers start to dance
Up and down, back and forth, so skillfully they prance
Interpreting a dream into a poem without words
Awakening both heart and soul, emotions swiftly stirred

The restless soul is soothed, unsolicited tears fall
Such beauty in the sadness that the heart becomes enthralled
Soft and sweet love unrequited, sobs in every phrase
I quietly sit and listen as "Moonlight Sonata" plays

Thirty six, fifty two, black and white piano keys
Serenading time and making music written to appease
The fingers slowly moving in a minor c sharp chord
Which brings me back full circle, hands at rest above keyboard.

Keyboard Living

Some days I live in my keyboard,
my mouse scurrying all around
silently hammering keys.
When in the park or in a supermarket
and my wife speaks to me of
flowers, trees, or onions
I have to peek out from behind
a hedge of words to see them,
then again, sometimes a little bird
will come to that word-hedge
and crap all over it.

Too many have become mere keyboard fighters,
sniping at others with whom they dIsagree.
Cowardly, they occupy shadows as backbiters,
and the first amendment made this speech free.

They cancel others out when not in agreement,
and use the term “woke” to show their awareness.
Social injustice voices have now become vehement,
but only one side of an issue is short of fairness.

"Every generation of Americans needs to know
that freedom exists not in doing what we like,
but in having the right to do what we ought."
Pope John Paul11
