Keyboard Living

Some days I live in my keyboard,
my mouse scurrying all around
silently hammering keys.
When in the park or in a supermarket
and my wife speaks to me of
flowers, trees, or onions
I have to peek out from behind
a hedge of words to see them,
then again, sometimes a little bird
will come to that word-hedge
and crap all over it.
