Joyously Poems

Premium MemberA Joyous Song of Companionship

The morning sun spills across the porch, casting a golden sheen on everything it touches. There, in a weathered rocking chair, sits a whiskered old man, his face a roadmap of countless smiles and sorrows. Beside him, a white labrador, whose fur almost glows in the light, listens intently. The man's raspy voice, a gentle melody fills the air, weaves tales of days gone by and adventures shared. Each note dances on the breeze, a private serenade for two souls bound by years of companionship.

in morning's embrace,
old tunes float on sunlit air—
shadows dance, tail wags

Premium MemberWriting Joyously of Your Love

I so rejoice You waited patiently through my travails
of depression,
You were present, and said silently, "Hold on tightly
to me."
Throughout my gray watercolor restless nights,
You bestowed me joy in rainbow arcs.
I began sensing You giving me strength,
jubilance from You so freeing.
As my roller coaster days turned into a
calm renewal,
seeing so many celebratory colors.
I'm truly answering, committing to making more
time to worship You in poetry and song,
writing joyously of Your love.

My King Jesus,
You know my weaknesses, my flaws,
yet, You still cherish me,
and hold me close.
Your crown, a honeyed amber light,
radiating Your Holy Goodness,
You are the center of the living,
spiraled, unending cosmos,
my spirit so deeply thankful.

You gifted me my poet's soul,
penning, so gratefully penning,
words in pencil flowing into life.
Sacred Lamb of God,
I'm so in love with You,
You gifted me so much more
than I deserve. ~

Premium MemberJoyously Saved

Joyously saved* by my Almighty Creator God, Lord Jesus
Everlasting life I possess, by faith in Christ Who’s eternal
Redeemed toward glorious heavenly grand residence
Thankful, I praise God Whom I constantly trust
Yes, He loves me and to Him, I’m always yielding.

Jubilant heart of mine seeks Him, mercifully just
Assured with His Word of precious assertions
Nourished along satisfying spiritual nurture
Enabling me to live by His reviving empowerment.

Grace He bestows surely brings goodness-glow
Attesting His presence, keeping me divinely active
Guarding and guiding my soul through His governing
Never to be forsaken, as He brings me to Him near
Illumining me toward stewardship verily inspiring.

*Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

Dear Jerty,
Belated blessed birthday to you.
Love, Ma’am Bhee

Premium MemberYou Have Been Joyously Uplifting

You have been so joyously uplifting
You have been marvelous and keen.
You have given me so many wonderful moments.
Good friends, yet we remain unseen.

Poetry Soup is my family now, in addition to others.
I feel we are all moms, dads, cousins, sisters and brothers.
You have made me feel special, you have taken me under your wing.
You have made sad, sorry days better. You have given me a voice to sing.

I am ever so grateful dear poets, for each and every one of you.
I know I will be appreciative from now to forever; your love feels so true.

JOYOUSLY, WE BE

Pillows, pillows, rainbow pillows everywhere
amidst this sea of pillows, two in lounging share--
capering aplenty, teasing, teasing thee.
Fun-filled laughter bubbles up, joyously, we be.

Fluffy, fluffy cotton knobs, wrap next to 'bods
Tuck so right in a hug, keep tight in the warmth.
Playing hard to get in merry-go-round zest.
Rock and roll, it drew smiles; rise and fall release sighs...

Teaser! Teaser, tease her! blushing freedom pairs!
Giddy music gentle lapping sound like chorale.
Closer, we become, touches twinkling like stars
in catch one's breath pause, our eyes interlace, comes we!

Pleaser! Pleaser, please him round the clock so light!
Do cuddle him lovingly and sing her a song,
between some brushes, he shall blow hushes
as when night and day strums, allow yin and yang rhumb.

Joyously Hear It

This is the One, this One is for real
heaven sent, Love and greatest thrill
Previously years passed and true love hid
failed to appear no matter whatever I did!

Growing old and just about sadly given up
then suddenly found, my darling buttercup
A precious flower resting in full beautiful bloom
filled my heart leaving simply no more room!

Such grace as true lover's song only can bring
sweet , pretty melodies our hearts did sing
Romantic tunes dancing to lovers pure beat
loving candy we both found so very sweet!

We found that night, ships that could sail
in love so deep we both could surely tell
A magical mist soaked our heated spirits
uttering blissful blessings we, we could
both joyously hear it!
