Come see the Christ, "We have found the Messiah!”
An anxious Andrew hasted with the broadcast -
sharing the good news, long-awaited by Jews.
Would that we Christians today should supply a
message of hope with haste and expectation.
The urgency of the moment (whereby a
first-hand dispatch cannot wait until morning)
inspires us to act, as when King Josiah
discovered the Torah which had been miscast.
Long-awaited by Jews, sharing the good news -
“Return to God, ” the voice of Zechariah.
It's just been twelve
long years now
Twelve years of void,
of unquenched pain
Twelve teary years
of what would have been
Twelve years of your
absence accorded by death
You are thoroughly missed
dear brother
The death of a sibling can only
at best imagined if never experienced.
I lay a wreath at the headstone
of your grave my brother.
Adieu Josiah Jeremiah!!!
Until we come to you
Josiah, The Birthday Man!
Josiah, we can’t call you a boy anymore
for today you have truly became a man,
and one being led by GOD to do HIS
work for He says “Oh yes, he can.
Though, I can’t say that everything will be
a smooth and carefree walk or ride,
but HE will make your life certainly worth living
and one day bring alongside a beautiful Christian bride.
And so now Josiah, as these days before HIS coming have gotten shorter
HIS hand will be upon you as never before,
leading you to much higher ground
while accomplishing a great deal of work but without the burdensome chore.
So take a deep breath
and press closer to HIM and see HIM in a brand new light,
as HE taking you higher and higher
in HIM as your future is becoming more bright.
GOD bless,
Love you, Grandma Marilyn

She danced with Josiah as the band played Mariah
And the children did hide and go seek
The fireflies were dancing the young folks romancing
And the moon now and then took a peek
When love seemed forever and troubles came never
She smiled at the happiness she had
She looked into blue eyes and didn't see through lies
That would border on driving her mad
Then came that one season he left with no reason
And shattered her dreams and her heart
No one could count tears that she shed through the years
While she struggled to find a new start
And then it was over she had forgotten that rover
As a new love shone bright in her eyes
Yes, time still heals the scars that it seals
While a smile greets a brand new sunrise

He was just a young boy only five going out to the waffle house
As when they did arrive there stood a man looking quiet grouse
The two just walked right past, his mom grabbing onto his hand
He wasn't of their class and her son didn't need to understand
But as they were seated at their table the boy began to question
To let it go the child was not able and he was anything but done
On and on the child went asking why this man was alone outside
Obviously a Heavenly Angel sent, as everyone else had just sighed
See, they went and invited him in and offered to buy him a meal
Some had that grin, but it was only for the man the boy did feel
Ordering a burger with bacon as he knew he was being blessed
Think what this boy has done the others just thinking him a pest
And soon his burger was there as back over came that little boy
As first the two said a little prayer filling that place up with joy
A lot of tears began to flow as each one had earlier walked past
The heart of giving they now know I can only pray that it will last

Josiah left the little critter cage
Open at its door.
Little Charlie hamster knew
and climbed down to the floor.
Little Charlie hamster
Made a daring escape.
He slid down the banister
And shimmied up the drape.
Josiah finally noticed
The little rascal gone.
He made a panic search
Feeling sad for for what he'd done.
He looked in all the corners
And under the covers on the bed.
He ran downstairs to take a look
While Charlie watched from overhead.
Josiah shook his head
He knew not what to do.
He couldn't tell his Dad
Or charlie hamster would be through.
Suddenly Charlie lost his balance
And gave himself away.
He tried to scamper down the drapes
And Josiah saved the day.
Loving people more when they leave than when they are there
Everyone shows thier true feelings for the person when they leave
All we can do is pray that they have a better life then they did here
Vendor them one last look one last hug...one last goodbye
Into thier new life with our prayers and high hopes
Never forget what we have been through together...
Going away is hard to do and no matter how many times it happens in your life...it will never
get easier...
this peom is dedicated to my youth pastor jacob wysong...and his wife kassie...and his
children jefferey and josie and the new baby jacob josiah...we love you and will miss you...but we will never forget you and will always think of you. you will be in our prayers always...good luck where God takes you and remember you always have a home back here...we love you...
Josiah conquers revisionists
by stating an old-world axiom:
“When seeking structure,
one must be mindful of decay.”
He taps a rusted column with
an ordinary wooden cane,
releasing decades of oxidation
in particulate dust.
As his nephew secures the wire
on the final shape-charge
a tear wells with nostalgia
and sympathy for the hobbled
until the flurry of blasts
at zero.
(As with the young king, I....)
And I knew,
that in like manner as Josiah,
I was going to have to dethrone
from the aforementioned high places,
those abominable idols of mine own making
(such as pride, apathy, procrastination and envy).
These were going to have to be torn down from their high places
so that the One who should rightfully sit
the throne of my heart,
would once again,
take His rightful place
and restoration and renewal
would once again make it's steady and consistent progress
down into the land of my life
during my sojourn here.
Thus,
once again would reign
the Golden Age of uninterrupted Communion with Him
who is
The One True an Only God.

For a backdrop to this allegory and a more clear
understanding of who Josiah was
(my favorite biblical king),
check out 2 Kings 22 and
2 Chronicles 34
Doug
(The Heart of the Young King)
and I remembered how that young King Josiah
went out to those places where the previous kings of Judah
had allowed and promoted the raising of idols
and other sorts of abominable worship
Having taken place from the time of
Solomon, son of David.
By this,
over the years,
the people of the One True God
were willingly led astray
and prostrated their hearts
before those things
which exalted themselves against God
and provoked Him.
Now,
centuries later,
Young Josiah in His eighth year
began to seek the Lord
and do that which was right
so that by his eighteenth year,
with a zealous heart,
he began to have removed from all Israel and Judah
all manner of abominations from out of the land
before the Lord His God
and return the hearts of his people
back to the Lord their God
(as the returning of the wayward sheep of God's pasture)
and times of rejoicing.
(AS IN THE TIME OF JOSIAH)
I closed my eyes and in my mind-
I went down to that place I had known
so much about,
Thhat land where idols had been lifted up
and exalted high,
-that place that should not be-.
And I knew, as I looked up and outward,
that this place with these idols
erected high for as far as
I could see in the distance,
-this place should not be-.
These Idols,
each erected and standing
in defiance of Him
who rightfully should be exalted High
and seated on the throne,
these abominations of my own making,
each,
would have to be torn down and destroyed.
For there should nothing be
which would ever exalt itself
against Him who is rightfully seated
on the High Throne
neither against His Lordship.
All this I saw in a moment-
