The sun will not always highlight the beauty of my life. Nor will I always realize my hopes, dreams, and plans. Sometimes, the titanic will hit an iceberg and sink with me on board Happy are they who know these things and will not be subjects of surprise
THE LORD: *"I have a message that I want you to give to your assistant and writer, Baruch. He has been very loyal and dedicated to you, making it possible to deliver my word to the nations. In the midst of all that is about to happen, I want to assure him of his personal well being. He must be made aware that I have not forgotten him. Furthermore, I am aware of his desires and ambitions that he has longed to see fulfilled in his life time. It's unfortunate that the actions of his countrymen have adversely affected his own future aspirations and goals, rendering them null and void. In spite of his nation's failure to listen and turn to me, you and Baruch have been my faithful messengers. However, there is no further remedy, and I have no choice".
Jeremiah: "Oh, my Lord. This will not be easy. The young man is such a blessing to me, and he has risked his own life writing and delivering your word to the people. Nevertheless, as always, I will do as you command".
45 This is the message Jeremiah gave to Baruch in the fourth year of the reign of King Jehoiakim (son of Josiah), after Baruch had written down all God’s messages as Jeremiah was dictating them to him: 2 O Baruch, the Lord God of Israel says this to you: 3 You have said, Woe is me! Don’t I have troubles enough already? And now the Lord has added more! I am weary of my own sighing and I find no rest. 4 But tell Baruch this, The Lord says: I will destroy this nation that I built; I will wipe out what I established. 5 Are you seeking great things for yourself? Don’t do it! For though I will bring great evil upon all these people, I will protect you wherever you go, as your reward. Jeremiah 45Living Bible (TLB)
Baruch: "The highlight of my life and the reward for my services is my life itself. For that, I am grateful".
