Jibber Poems | Examples

Premium Membermy muse

finally shut her trap,
did the job
of being herself,
letting me
observe
in the quiet—
god,
the yapping
made her,
too human
it's like she thought
she was the artist.
now look:

line breaks
sharp again—

enough to keep
breaking
backs, morale,
slogging
the ten-ton-taken-for-granted
stones
up-up-up
Sisyphean hills,
still—

I miss her
jibber jabber.

Rumbles Goppy Blubber

Only full of jibber jabber
Blabbing rumbles goppy blubber
Chat so lots it seems a big ole sea
That bellows jiggles up the sunken ladder
Waterlogged a smullen button belly
Swollen tub of lardy squishy goo
If only spit out complitastic words
Scales and skin could sag down too

Not sure if this is right but it was fun...

Premium MemberWho Needs Words

I’ve often wondered what to say
or how to speak when words would stray,
a gesture served to save the day
when simple words would slip away.

I’ve often floundered when I've spoke
or tried to tell a bawdy joke...
it pays for words to wear a yoke
instead of trying to provoke.

I've often blathered tongue-in-cheek
with wordiness that seemed unique
and thought my wit was rather chic...
though knew it nonsense, so-to speak.

I've often blundered when upset
by saying something I’d regret
and wished I had a safety net...
a muted state was better yet.

And though I find it so absurd
that jibber gets my jabber stirred...
when rhetoric goes undeterred,
I often wonder, who needs words.

Premium MemberPretending To Be On the Phone

we've all done it
or we used to do it
nowadays we can feign
sending messages

in touch-and-go back streets
in dodgy areas at night
in the office to appear
being busy

to avoid babbling
with a colleague
to avoid a bothersome
old lady at the bus stop

bell didn't invent the
gossipy horn
he jibber-jabbered
with the mutt

which is another
prop you could
pretend to be
chewing the fat with

talk with a stuffed animal
talk with a photo
talk with a tomato plant
talk with the mirror

sweden had their
own phone number
so you could pretend
to be talking to them

Slapdash Fellows At the Shamble Saloon

in the city of York, an English town
odd old buildings of russet brown
surround damp streets of cobblestone
pathways finding the party zone

jesters strike around half past noon
slapdash fellas crash the shambles saloon
with a splish splash, they dab a bath
the last stop on their dead-beat path

zag scalawags like to rally
at a mish-mash mosh pit sally
peaking the patter of jibber-jabber
through chit-chat and blasé blabber

the tip-top flip-flop clip clap crowd
are to the man vocally self-endowed
their tight tongues tied in a tangle
wag with rhythmic jingle jangle

hip hop beats on the radio
shadow rhythms entwine in stereo
with tic toc crisscross tapping toes
lift a cadence from depths below

when two pass noon at the shambles saloon
the characters mirror a black cartoon
days pass and quietly echo
dark portraits show tin art deco

Premium MemberHer Jibber and Jabber

Her jibber and jabber was unusual.
We knew something was off, but we had never seen
Anything like this before.
There was nervous laughter.
Grandpa happened to be coming in for chips
And noticed the jibber and the jabber.
He called 911, saving her life.
It was a stroke.

Premium MemberA Jib a Jab and a Jibber Jabber Jee

A jib a jab and a jibber jabber jee
Dancing on down to town called want-a-be.
I watched them go
One walked so slow
A jig, a jab, a jibber jabber, and me!

Look Up

Hey children! Listen, I miss your zeal.
The world inside your mobile is surreal.
Look up!
See, I have fixed stronger glasses on my windows,
Get hold of your cricket kit, come back on the street,
I miss watching your games.
I won’t mind, smash all my window panes.

Hackneyed messages,
Dollops of unalloyed twaddle
Tides of trifling emotions!
Baby! You are locked inside your mobile.
Look up!
See, the stadium looks so barren!
Without your mischiefs and fun,
Your irritating jibber- jabber and nonstop run.
I won’t mind, come on burst my eardrum.

Your friends, your pictures, games, tweets and stories
You live in a fantasy world, that’s absolutely unsavoury.
Step back into this beautiful life, create beautiful memories.
Look up!
Don’t waste your time and energy.
Live for a cause, get up and push back your lethargy.
Open the notebook of your life,
Fill it with love, fame and prosperity.
No matter what! You shall thrive.
Don’t be a slave to mobile,
Life isn’t a game!
Dear! You have to survive, mobiles exists just to give a little respite!

Premium MemberArgubabble

Noern noern jibberbabble jibberbabble
As I pleaded over his spittal spattle
Of venimous ven engaged in verbal prattle.
Then we stood nye to nye
Straid in rockish gren.
Ner dillish kand we ertabe friend agrin
Our grint of thoughts too distant finds
Too distant calls each as our hearts recline.
My jibber flams his ire within
So to swigish flim cams from him.
Brikker nak brikker nak
Back and forth with frack
Noern to yield, yet attack.
Then I curled and cowt
To know his wisdom had won out
And embarked in gladden rim
That we cowt each other once agrin.

Jibber Jabber

Jibber jabber rambling and gambling of words,

thoughtful sounds of meaningless intent,

unanswered calls for the insightful motive,

simple as such, silly as much,

jotting the illogical flow of blurbs.

Darkness State of Mind

Darkness state of mind

Darkness can be state of mind,
And sadness makes you sort of blind,
Although the sky is grey as grime,
Weak brained tripe, here needs attention.

Does magpie smother find you weak,
You raise your voice and only squeak,
Think you’re fat or thin, now bloody tweak,
Cool dude, by re invention!

Self worth is driven down,
Actor you, invert the frown,
Jabbering jaw jockeys from the town?
Step on for thy ascension,

Negative voice is sorted here,
Act the part, become , sincere,
Personality gets set free,
Jibber jabber just like me,
And walk like Jack the lad!

Don Johnson 27-Aug-11

John S
Jabbering jaw jockeys pull you down,
so climb upon em, cause em frown,
be the strongest spirit, clown,
and rise above the chaos!

Premium MemberAh, To Be a Deer

Oh, the incessant noise, the jibber jabber,
civilization’s cure for loneliness,
the panacea for boredom.
If only, if only, “You’ve got male.”
would be an answer.
Ah, but no…

Tweet on, “Oh ship of state…”
this Union, this rudderless human joining…

Oh, to be a deer in the wood
the silent wood, the sea of green, the eye of calm
to hear naught but the patter of rain.
And, taste only the dewy mist
on the tip of pedal pink tongue.

To not have soiled the soul, flesh eater, destroyer
To be Un-manned…
To run and leap, doe-eyed, over fallen log…instead of fallen foe.
To rise a-dawning in the mist of a four-legged dream.
To be mounted by a loyal buck
and birth a quivering fawn.

Surely, all the monkey mind has to offer
can not compare to the innocence of the doe.
Shut the roaring static, kill the jabber walkie
resurrect me silent, furred and free
amongst the fiddleheads and moss
of the wildwood.
