When you are sitting in a tree
Way up high in the Amazon rain forest
And you turn and see amber eyes strolling toward you
Do not always assume they are the eyes of a jaguar
But if they are, jumping down will not help
They can jump down and catch you faster than you can scream

We knew it was too late to run.

Brownish-yellow fur, patches of black markings
resembling of a rose. 
I search for food
Stalking my prey behind trees, 5

I walked a million miles,
All for nothing.

A sleepy sloth that is. 
We are as cool as cucumbers

I was trying to sell my 1990 Buick Reatta 
To a friend of mine, Jones, who had only one daught’a.

It was for her to drive to school, 
And we were meeting in Albuquerque which was our rule.

It was halfway for both of us.
Can you believe he came with a friend? That little cuss.

Not an ordinary

Why I Do Not Drive a Jaguar

A wealthy fool once came to me
Change it now, change it  all
Change all these pipes 
Sir that would be fifteen thousand

In lieu of his ego, mine came running too
Only give me a minute
Let me weigh up this dilemma
And lo! A small adjustment needs
Get the wrench and got it right
A lowly plumber with vast experience

Jet black is the night as
 Jungle feline of stealth
 Jumps on its hapless prey
 Jaws able to crush bones
 Juicy reptile swimming
 Jaguar jumps in water
 Jostling with a caiman

She came tearing through the parking lot
Finally she brought the car to a stop
From fore to aft I count three lines crossed
What worries me more is how near are the people

Spots,
swift feet.
a jaguar runs;
silent hunter,

teenage thought
same I used to be
he is me

brave heart
straight mind
you know his soul

the jerks of bullying 
facing the weave

Jagged, hunting
knife in hand…I chop
up chunks of meat
for my pet jaguar…he
fires me up with
painful passion – he
hands me one of his
9 lives with his
handy, giant paw . .
. I'm shocked - I
didn't expect this
at all . . . he
caught me before I
was gonna make an
embarrassing fall -
