Manifesto

We paid our premiums Lord, year after year,
It was expensive but for nothing, now I do fear.

We don't understand how it is possibly right,
To be paid for our loss, we have to now fight.

Isn't that what insurance is made for?
We lost our home, and the clothes that we wore.

The hurricane, it took our whole house away,
The cars, the boat, but they said "it's okay".

They gave us a claim number, and never called back
After a bit we knew something was off track.

So we called, and they said they would reach out to the boss,
To see if they could cover this hurricane loss.

After much frustration, a letter comes in the mail.
The company was insolvent, and our claim was a fail.

They hadn't paid us a dime, and the company left the state
They don't care about us, and this is our fate.

Pennies on the dollar, they offer us months later,
It's time to lawyer up, this company is a traitor.

We pay thousands to cover our home each time
For them to pay us nothing, is an unforgivable crime.

Traitorous Fortune

Unlocking the vault
invested with pain

Its riches long stolen
all value is stained

Each bill tells a story
of wantonness greed

With truth sold for dollars
whose printing now bleeds

Locked up in a winter
of coldness and fear

A traitorous fortune
of all you hold dear

Its smell tells a story
the mold growing thick

Corruption inherent
the air makes you sick

Bereft you can’t spend
what you coveted so

Before the interment
when sinking so low

The cash becomes toxic
it falls from your hands

Its value infected
—insolvent and damned

Hatred is wide prevalent
Heart has become insolvent
Kindness, none wants to invent
Human tongue is a real serpent
People love to be highly vehement
Affection is totally here absent
God's presence is fully irrelevant
Bullet is given as a present
To make the receiver non-existent
Modernity is growing unpleasant
To be truthful, almost all resent
The guilty wants not to repent
Being cunning is damn intelligent
God is no longer an invisible agent
Chaos prevails one hundred percent
To help others, all are reluctant
Mercy is a forgotten lubricant
Holy Buddha turned a mendicant
He was truly an honest applicant
May God protect us from a militant.

Premium Member Another Moment of Silence In the 115th and 116th Congress

Hypocitical and all for show
It's Congress's new way
Lacking sincerity and morality
They've sold their principles away

To do and say the right thing
At the moment it is right
Is to brave resisting forces
And wage the valiant fight

There's a time to not be silent
To stand up and to be strong
There's a time to not be silent
When what's done you know is wrong.

They swore an oath to speak out
But when killer's bullets fly,
They have nothing to give us,
But empty words when people die.

The weak ones and the gutless,
An oath "to serve-to lead -be strong"
Excludes a Congress now insolvent
They're here to simply "go along."

Shame on the Congress people trusted
They sit silent in their chairs.
Instead of taking any action,
They simply offered thoughts and prayers.

They'd make a world of difference,
Instead of thoughts and endless prayer
If they'd pass some laws protecting us,
Inaction proves they simply do not care.

Shame on these spineless representatives
Who shirk their duty to "Stand Tall"
Instead of silence and condolences
They should have stood for
"Justice for us all."

Trump Is An Insolvent Agent

Trump Is An Insolvent agent.

We never understood what Trump meant,
And he did end up being insolvent agent;
Never had fit in,
Again and again;
We never loved and always would resent.

Billy Blue,
Your world’s a mess
There’s nothing new

Billy Blue
Billy Blue,
Your sheep are shorn
Your flower’s few

Billy Blue
Billy Blue,
Your time now warps
In shades of grey

Billy Blue
Billy Blue,
That choice you made
To run away…

Billy Blue
Billy Blue,
Your worship hollow
An empty pew

Billy Blue
Billy Blue,
Your time insolvent
Your memories few

Snake eyes stare back

Sad story
Wet ripples
Salty tears

Notice now
Weird and weary
Dreary drizzle

Bad weather
Freezing cold
Wet blanket

Insolvent ways
Dreamy distance
Tedious touch

Why bother?
Risk rapture
Fond textures

The Journey

The Journey

Watching her suffer with a limited life
I did not cry

Caring and cleaning with all my might
I did not cry

Groomed and abused before my teens
I did not cry

Putting daffodils in her hand to say goodbye
I did not cry

Prison for dad when it wasn’t him
I did not cry

The family torn apart
I did not cry

An unsupportive partner in my time of need
I did not cry

Having to stand on my own two feet
I did not cry

Struggles to pay bills with a new born
I did not cry

Escaping from reality
I got high

Criminal convictions
I did not cry

Abusive husband and broken finger
I did not cry

Divorced and insolvent
I did not cry

Qualifications, supportive partner, happy home life, great job - counselling
I cried

The Shadow of You

Now that you have passed,
the days are mostly a crescent memory,
eclipsed by the night illuminating
what daylight darkens.

And me...
sitting upon the edge of my bed,

I look down,
down in consternation...
down to where the stars fall,
down to where heaven overlaps emptiness,

slipping through the floorboards
like ribbons of gravity that can
not escape my insolvent darkness;

the thought that you,
you in your celestial light of death,
you no longer will tender my embrace.

I am afraid that now
if I saw you
I could no longer wrap
my arms around you,

arms that have been clutched
as they have all of these nights
around the shadow of you
upon the frame of my heart...

that they could no longer open,

and with love being just moments away
I would die within my own dream.

Late rain sums
Cicadas delight;
Cold night tryst

Words plus words
Disrupted poise;
Confront conflict

Icy splash
Cold water surprise;
Morning face wash

Stormy afternoon
Wetness redecorates;
June somnolence

~~~~~~~~~
Umbrellas galore
Unforgiving rain;
Wetness everywhere
~~~~~~~~~

Midday siesta
Day dreams collide;
Rainy day lot

Celery and fruits
Blended slurry;
Detox routine

Savvy story
Placid poise;
Nothing more

Noisy terminal
Airport hallway;
Buzz and fuss

A happy meal
Just for two;
Noontime matinee

Thoughts surge
Moods sum;
Verse craft ooze

Early wake up call
Alarm clock screams;
Fatigue burdens

Dead weight
No escape now;
Hope floats

Mull over matter
Insolvent state;
Too much, too late

Weary hands
Weary feet;
Weary sleep

Prosper then
Be good;
Live well

Facial recognition
I see you;
Happy endings

Prayer of Lonely Senator

Dear God
Get me out of here
Let me go somewhere else
Where I can fight the evil
Which surrounds me here
And which I am forbidden to fight
But take not my anger
My indignation in justice
So that I continue to burn
To right it or bury it

I know, dear God
I have asked this before
In other skins on my flesh
And found myself most widely wild
But if it is possible
In my insolvent soul
Dear God, get me out of here!

Now For God

Impressions of the waif, the overload
dissensions allocate ~ insolvent, told
are they that wile and wait
the other's strode!

While time be not incumbent
 ~ is not old,
to front concerns, not slumber
 ~ must unfold!

My life is not assunder
 ~ with grief's hold,
or looks for daily number
 ~ towards greed's gold!

The Now ~ my master's rumble
 ~ speaks, implodes
it's to my feet ~ the jumper
 ~ must explode
God's call remerits wonder
 ~ my unmold!

Sweet

Sugar is sweet
But, too much of it makes you sick
And may die diabetic and despondent.

Love is sweet
But too much of it makes you insolvent
And may die too dependent.

Better moderate and milder
As it makes you somber
But the sweetest word ever
Is LOVING YOU  forever!
