Premium Member I, the Liberal

Mind if I tell you, honestly, I’m not
Proud of obstructionists who forget peoples’ needs
Who speak derisively of folks like me …
Call us liberals because we see vast acres of land
Lying fallow while millions go hungry for a place,
While the wealth of the nation is pocketed by a few
Or, spent lavishly on worthless trips into space
We who believe the past is history … cannot be changed
But can be atoned for, and, can be correctly taught;
We who believe basic healthcare is a human right,
That no child in America should ever go hungry
That no woman should be forced to bear a child
Nobody wants! and who will be another burden,
For I have observed hundreds of children in foster care
Often destined for the ghetto life and abject poverty
While politicians argue themselves into insolvency.

Keep Waiting

Keep waiting [lullaby essay]

Prior to my expected appalling arrival
Accept a delay necessitating my survival
Recap all hopeful wishes
Evoke undying patience species
Nest and destroy negative feelings
Trust when the seed says is fleeing.

Knives come thirsty for my blood
Eyes in tears always keep a flood
Episodes full of grief and sorrow
Pray that I see you tomorrow.

While I try to realize my goal
All is destined to benefit you
Immense forces are attack-full
Tremendous effort from me is forceful
Incarnate figures seem to set militia
Nourishing their foul aromatic herb
Gather guts and expect patiently

Drastic changes in economic atmosphere
Applaud a flop on my old plans
Insolent conditions thwart my combined efforts
Lonesome insolvency escort me to their agenda
Yielding failure for me every day!

Orbit

If I want to circumscribe you
To revolve around you
With you as the centre
Will you let me?

If I want to plagiarize you
To replicate you
Word by word
Will you let me?

If I want to drench you with love
Emptying my heart
Ever, forever
To the brink of insolvency,
Will you let me?

Will you let me be,
Will you let me be around you?
Will you let me sing to you?
Will you let me dance to your tunes?
Will you let me love you???

Bounty of Hell

Banks,
Financial assassins
Firing bullets
Of insolvency
At targets
Without cover
Raping with foreclosure
Killing with repossession
Preying and hunting
All trophies out of season
Poaching their eternity
From the bounty of hell

(Villanova Pennsylvania: April, 2013)

Free Cee This Is Dedicated To All Those Who Have the Nerve To Admit They Dig My Woids

THIS CHOIR IS QUITE QUIET

tormented by tension
unable to appeal to apprehension
appointed and annointed by an annoyance
and a contrivance of confliction
usually resulting in my evicition
with a severe lack of information
as insolvency is never solved and only furthers the infestation of insanity
and a lack of vanity
while here sit i
amidst a fistful of falacies and fascination
in quiet contemplation

my union with another soul is unimaginable, untenable and unattainable
and every memory of guilt is far more disturbing than any fable
fifteen to twenty years is time enough for me to remember all my lies
as i stare at the green grass through hardened bars
and am reminded of the hellish havoc i've caused as i gaze at all my scars
while here sit i in quiet contemplation
cursing my creation

Sycophancy

Sycophancy they celebrate
Insolvency they worship
Profligacy they cherish
Grandiosity they love.

Impudence remains a force
To reckon with
Indolence rewarded
Amidst pomp and pageantry
Intolerance to dissent
Views became the hallmark

Thesis plagiarizing became licit
Academic placid legitimatised
Megabyte prowling encouraged
Supersonic pillaging sanctioned

Persecution became acceptable
Intimidation remains excusable
Exploitation officially allowable

All these only during the
Dark days of an “Ifa priest”
With the so called magic wand
In the garden of life
