If it is written, so be it,
but who'll admit
to writing what was writ
when the fan is hit?
And, if, having inscribed,
the finger does proceed,
whose digit was it
when the words were decreed?
Yet, carved in stone,
or etched on glass,
who'll confess to pouring such concrete
when it comes to pass?
“not every story has a beginning
some are told in the dark,
some begin at the end of our lives
& some end at the beginning of pains”
there's a glue that has a name—July 13
strong enough to glue a diving eagle to the sky
i hop on Sleepless memories outside my body
to watch the sun swims in the ocean
i write epitaph too
i stand in & watch life through my window bar too
as he bird hunts fireflies to lit up his hatchling intestines
i, an artist,
next to canvas with beautiful painting in mind & Sleepless pain on palette
i stand alone in his footsteps to watch the sunset
as a man laughs in his children's names, i imagine my father's face like a country buried under my tongue
then go home with digested depression in my belly.
Every hand tells a story
life's adventures inscribed on palms
Lines of wisdom, hints of psalms
Yet destiny wears out her rhymes
on riverbanks of sorrow
Dreams not lent nor borrowed
Non exchangeable
biodegradable
Given time may be changeable
However
Forever
Insatiable
Thrashing out the tempo of life
Misses a beat when presented with strife
Within Private chambers
initials inscribed
Etched with a promise
None but one can revive
dug up
unearthed
a time capsule
of sorts yesterday
will planting a tree
when the capsule
was unlocked
inside was found
a lovely heart shaped
antique locket
the motto
inscribed within
the locket was
indicative of a time
gone by
when their was hope
when their was faith
living within the youthful
heart
imagination drifted
to thoughts of where
are they now
Silly old man, I've often been called
I love those words of endearment
My one and only real aim in life
Put smiles on faces, that's fulfillment
If I fail, it's back to the beginning I go
Surely I've done something wrong
Laughter is the basis of a joyful life
So giggle and sing along
Life will go on whether happy or sad
So why not choose to be happy
In the end, you'll count your lucky stars
Sing out with a tune that's snappy
Your voice will burst forth in support of love
The reason we enjoy each moment
The reason we wake with joy in our hearts
Love is the major component
Silly old man, always preaching about love
Is he really some kind of expert
Been down that road of passion a few times
Have “LOVE” inscribed on my t-shirt!

Here I am and there you are
I'm etched on your life like a permanent scar
In the shape of a rose or a heart or a feather
I.m there in the blood,we are always together
A tattoo from youth,worn under your sleeve
reminding you ever of reasons to grieve
read green and black,like the coils of a beast
wrapped round your heart,there thru famine or feast
Indelible days into firebranded nights,
written in memories,seared in your sights
but if lasers could peel off the imprint I've left
my own selfish wishes would leave me bereft
for I need to know I live on in your heart
that not even dying can keep us apart.
